Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning and Riku eventually made their way towards the end of the game and arrived at question nineteen. Their questions spanned from random to serious to goofy, and this question of hers was almost a combination of the three. She already knew the answer to the question, but she was going to ask it anyway just to hear the response. "...Do you love me?"

Riku gazed at Lightning in the darkness, only the moonlight providing illumination along the beach. Lightning really had to ask? But that was just the thing; she didn't. She knew the answer from the very beginning. "...With everything I have," Riku answered, voice low in seriousness. He could never lie about such a thing.

Lightning turned to the side, her legs laying off to the side as she looked at Riku directly. "Will you say that again?" she asked softly. That was her twentieth question, and it was spoken out of turn since it was technically Riku's turn to ask her something. But she hoped for an answer to her question immediately. Say it again.

Riku released a small "hmph" at the question, which was also a request. He put his weight on his hand closest to Lightning, gazing into her eyes as his smile turned crooked. "...I love you with everything I have," he declared gently. With his entire being, his soul, and his heart. Lightning had his love.

Light smiled, brave enough to keep her eyes locked onto Riku's even after his simple and straightforward answer. "Show me," she requested, raising a hand to his cheek. She was out of questions and couldn't ask him to show his love, but she could tell him to, and she knew he would without hesitation.

Riku still had to ask his twentieth question, but he figured it could wait. He leaned forward, Lightning's hand remaining on his cheek as he connected his lips with hers. His eyes closed, one of his hands moving to sit on Lightning's knee. As if he could refuse to show her how much he loved her. He could never refuse Lightning.

Lightning's eyes flickered shut as she returned Riku's kiss, her free hand moving to rest atop of his in the sand. This kiss was gentle, just like the soft sound of waves crashing along the shore. Just like the stars in the sky that were bright enough to keep the beach light but soft enough not to blind them. Riku's love for her was gentle but full of passion too. Stars may have died eventually, but she knew Riku's love for her was different. His love would never die.

Riku kissed Lightning for another moment before retreating, letting his forehead rest against hers. His smile instantly returned as he took in the moment. Plenty more were to come, that much he knew. Riku recognized by now that he didn't want to spend his nights alone, not anymore. "...Will you stay with me?" he asked softly. "...Forever?"

Lightning smiled softly. briefly running her thumb over Riku's cheek. "I think you just broke the rules of the game," she whispered. "You asked twenty-one questions." As if she actually understood all the rules of the game though--this was her first time playing it. But the game was named "Twenty Questions" for a reason.

"I don't follow rules very often," Riku revealed, opening his eyes to gaze at the person before him. He had always been a rule breaker. Sora and Kairi could confirm that. Regardless, he didn't care if he asked twenty-one questions; all that mattered to him was that Lightning answered.

"Guess we have that in common," Lightning agreed quietly. She asked two questions in a row--that was an obvious breach of rules. "I broke the rules first, so I guess all I can do is humor you." She took her hand off of Riku's and lightly ran it up his arm, allowing it to rest on his bicep as she pointedly kept her gaze locked with Riku's. "I'll stay with you, forever." Nothing could keep her away from him.

Riku closed his eyes at the answer, releasing a small breath. "...Good," he whispered, leaning forward and kissing Lightning again. She agreed to stay with him...through everything; the good and the bad, happy and sad times, the darker and lighter times. That was a great thing to know.

Light gently kissed Riku back, and when it was over, she peeked her eyes open to look at him. "That was a fun game," she whispered. "We should do it again sometime." Especially if it ended like this, she would be happy. Asking questions with obvious answers just to hear the other person speak them...It was nice to get straightforward answers like they just did to questions that had real depth.

Riku nodded slightly in agreement. "Sounds like a plan," he replied quietly. He wasn't sure what other questions he could ask, but he would have to think of something. Lightning had fun, which was great. He was glad he could contribute to the night.

Light leaned forward and briefly gave Riku a kiss. "You didn't ask, but I'll say it anyway," she said quietly. "I love you." She said it earlier that day, but she didn't mind saying it multiple times. However many times she needed to say it for Riku to understand just how much she loved him was the number she'd say those three simple words.

Riku gazed at Lightning for a moment, and he found himself biting his tongue. How badly he wanted to propose at that moment! Riku knew now wasn't the time, so he silenced himself by placing a hand on the back of Lightning's neck and kissing her once more. He loved her, and he loved hearing those words. They were uplifting, gave him hope, and had him dreaming of their future. Riku couldn't wait.

Light released one chuckle as she kissed Riku back. It was a sudden kiss that came on quicker than the others, but she wasn't over-analyzing it. Tonight wasn't a night of suspicion or secrets. It was a night of love and connection and happiness and peace. It was a successful  night too, thanks to Serah's assistance, Light's planning and Riku's random game.

Riku continued the kiss, but only for another small moment. When he pulled back, he gazed at the woman who loved him, who he loved in return. He brushed her bangs away from her eyes as he smiled, happily speechless. What was there to say? He couldn't beat "I love you."

Light opened her eyes, smiling softly at Riku. "Maybe we should go home," she suggested quietly. It was already dark, as it had been for quite some time. Because of the ocean breeze, her skin was actually a bit chilled. She hardly noticed it right then and there though since her attention was so focused on Riku.

"Only if you're ready," Riku whispered, his hand resting on his leg. Whenever Lightning wanted to go home, he was okay with it. It wasn't like Riku had plans for the next day. He was up for anything tonight. After all, they both deserved it after Valhalla.

"I don't want this to end yet, but..." But Light knew that it was time that they settled down inside the house, got cozy, and got some rest. Eventually their vacation time would come to an end and they would have to work again. That wasn't a day that she was looking forward to, but the realist in her accepted it.

"...But your responsible side is kicking in," Riku said, smirking slightly. He knew what Lightning was thinking; he'd grown accustomed to her ways. Nobody said their night had to end when they got home. They could do something else.

"Got me," Lightning said with a guilty half-smile. She had no clue what time it was, but their night had been so jam-packed full of activity that it went by quickly. Yet she knew that despite how quickly it went by, it probably was a longer amount of time than she could predict. At least she was still awake, considering the fact that she and Riku slept in really late.

Riku briefly lifted a hand and stroked Lightning's cheek before rising to his feet. "Well, we've at least got the walk home," he declared, offering his hand to her. If that wasn't the last of their night, then so be it. It wasn't like he would mind more time with Lightning. That was all Riku wanted.

"At least," Light agreed. She accepted Riku's hand while grasping her shoes in the other before rising to her feet. If she had a hand free, she would have dusted herself off, but thankfully something else captured her attention anyway: the water suddenly lapping at her feet and going above her ankles. "Looks like the tide's coming in."
