Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

"That's our cue," Riku said, his shoes getting soaked as well as the ankles of his pants. Oh well, he'd dealt with worse. He started in the direction they needed to go, his hand in Lightning's. The local cafes and bars were still open, but he and Light wouldn't make a stop and say hello to anyone they knew. Their time outside the house was coming to an end.

Riku started walking in the right direction, but he forgot one important thing: distancing themselves from the shoreline. "Riku," she tried, only to get distracted. She turned her head sharply and looked to the ocean, eyes widening when a huge wave suddenly appeared. They were going to get hit, and she was wearing white!

Riku turned his head, and his Keyblade appeared before he had time to think. He chucked it into the air, and while it spun around, he swept Lightning off her feet. He held her bridal style and jumped with a grunt, landing on his glider just as it came back around. Lightning sat in front of him as he busied himself with grabbing the handlebars, and when he was set, Riku turned his head. "Hold on!" he advised. He zoomed off, feeling a spray from the wave as it crashed into shore.

Lightning was shocked, to say the least. She was expecting to be swept off her feet by that wave, but instead, Riku did the job. She looked up at him from her spot, blinking at him. "That...may have been a little overkill," she said after a moment, a grin working its way onto her face. That was more dramatic than it should have been.

Riku lifted an eyebrow. "This is my favorite shirt. You think I was gonna let it get wet?" he said, fighting a smile as well. But he knew Lightning always had a secret soft spot for the "overkill." She liked it and she knew it.

"All about you," Lightning laughed. "If you were so worried about your shirt, why didn't you just fly off without me?" Of course she knew it was a silly question for multiple reasons. One was that Riku would never, ever leave her behind. The other was that he probably didn't fly away to save his shirt; he did it to save her from getting swept away.

"Well, Serah would kill the both of us for ruining that dress," Riku said, watching where he was flying, not that there was much traffic. "I don't plan on dying anytime soon, and your sister scares me when she's mad." He smirked instantly, though a part of him was truly frightened. Serah was much like Kairi when she was angry, which wasn't a good thing. At least for the victim.

"All about you again," Light sighed in mock disappointment. He saved her to spare her from Serah's anger--that was what they were going with. Well that logic wasn't going to work for him because of one key thing. "Except you made me drop my shoes when you swept me up. Serah's not going to be happy about that." They were a fairly nice pair of shoes--as nice as Lightning would get.

Riku sighed dramatically, rolling his eyes before gazing at Lightning. "You didn't hold onto them?!" he asked in mock disbelief. "Man...What am I gonna do with you?" But he knew that they were only shoes, and they were bought with his money. Riku didn't really care if they got lost or about the money he spent on them. He knew what would have happened if Lightning got drenched, and he wanted to save her the embarrassment.

"I think you should turn around and get them," Light challenged with a smirk. "You might get drenched, but you deserve it for sweeping a girl off her feet without her permission." She didn't care about the shoes that much, but seeing Riku go hunting for them in the ocean really would have been amusing to watch.

"I've never had any complaints," Riku chimed with a crooked smile. He continued his course towards Lightning's place, smart enough to know she was joking. Sora would probably kill to see Riku dive for some shoes, but Sora wasn't around. Riku could replace the shoes if it was that big of a deal.

  • Author

"What does this sound like to you, then?" Lightning asked with a slight grin. Surely it didn't sound like she was praising Riku for sweeping her off her feet and forcing her to drop her shoes. This was as close to a complaint as he was going to get from her, and it wasn't even that close to whining. She'd rather lose her shoes than her dignity.

Riku simply smiled, lowering his glider to hover beside Lightning's balcony. "Can you handle this?" he asked, referring to the small jump. "I mean, you don't have your shoes, so..." The joke was obvious, but he was taunting the woman he loved. She was doing the same.

  • Author

"No, I can't do it," Lightning said without missing a beat. "So you'll either need to carry me or hand over your shoes." And since his feet were obviously larger than hers, wearing them wouldn't do her much good. Normally Riku would act on something ridiculous like that and actually give her his shoes just to see what would happen, but considering the fact that they were on a glider, she wasn't sure what course of action he'd follow.

Riku sighed again, setting his arms underneath Lightning's knees and around her back. "So needy," he mumbled, then rising to his feet steadily on the glider. He should have known that answer was coming, but he expected the opposite; he expected Lightning to go ahead and prove that she could make the jump. Clearly wearing dresses made her a different person.

"So rude, considering you caused all this," Light retorted smoothly. Maybe she was being needy jokingly right now, but she predicted that in the future, she would be even more needy. Last night she had a nightmare that made her sick. She was no prophet, but she could guess that more dreams like that would be coming and she would rely heavily on Riku.

Riku simply chuckled before leaping from his glider to the balcony. He landed smoothly on his feet, silently sending his glider away. It vanished behind him in a snuff of light as he set Lightning down. He wasn't sure what they would do now that they were home, but they would think of something.

Light wrapped an arm around Riku's lower back, briefly leaning into him as she gazed at the door. "Am I allowed to exact one favor out of you for your crimes?" she asked then. There was only thing that she wanted, and she planned on asking for it regardless of Riku's response to the question.

Riku looked from the door to Lightning. "I suppose," he said, his arm around her naturally from her position. He wasn't sure what Lightning could ask of him now, but he was bound to find out. Then again, Lightning wasn't very predictable, so Riku couldn't have guessed if he tried.

Lightning ushered Riku forward, keeping her arm where it was as she began to slide the door open. "It's cool out," she said quietly, "so I'd like it if you helped me warm up." Whether that was through cuddling or hot chocolate or something else, she wanted to get comfortable with him around.

Riku released a small "hmph" as he followed Lightning in, shutting the sliding door behind him. "My pleasure," he replied softly. He didn't have a problem helping with that. Surprisingly, for most people and for Riku, he had a soft spot for cuddling. He guessed it was just another trait Lightning brought out of him. She was good at that kind of thing.

"But first..." Light pulled her arm back to her side and stepped away, briefly looking at Riku over her shoulder as she started away. "I'm getting out of the dress." She wore it plenty long enough, and as much as Riku liked the dress, she was going to be selfish and put on some more comfortable clothing.

Riku stopped and turned around. The words triggered his next action, his eyes roaming Lightning's form. "...But I like it," he said of the dress. And he liked the way Lightning looked in it. It was a reminder of their future, a gift from him. It held a lot more meaning than Lightning probably realized.

Light stopped in a doorway, turning around to face Riku. Of course he liked it--it was a nice dress, and he bought it for her. And she rarely wore something so nice. She sighed, leaning the side of her head against the doorway. "I guess that's reason enough for me to keep it on..." If he really liked it, she could wear it a little longer.

Riku smiled softly, taking in the sight before him one more time. He then exhaled. "No...get more comfortable. I'll be waiting for you in the living room," he said, motioning toward it with his thumb. Lightning could get changed; Riku would start a small fire.
