Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

The tears that touched Riku's fingertips only encouraged him to kiss Lightning more, passion in the exchange between them. He didn't want Lightning to suffer anymore. Even if it did wear him down, he would still be the one to pick her up when she was down. Better yet, he would never let her get that far. He was going to be her foothold, and Riku would never regret that decision. Not for the rest of his life. This woman belonged to him, belonged with him. Riku wasn't giving that up so easily.

Lightning eventually had to pull back from the kiss, not because she wanted to, but because she started sobbing. She pulled herself towards Riku and buried her face in his shoulder, taking in all the warmth and comfort that he provided. She wasn't alone anymore. She had people that she could rely on, but she had to rely on herself again too. She was strong enough to overcome this if she just tried.

Riku held Lightning close when she pulled away from the kiss. No way was he letting her go now. "I love you, you hear me?" he said in her ear, his voice low as he kept his arms tightly encircled around her. "We are in this together. You and me. Always." Riku would never give up. Lightning had to know that by now. If not, he would prove it. He would do so for as long as he lived.

Light nodded into Riku's shoulder, gripping at his shirt as tightly as she could. "...One more good cry," she managed as her face remained in his shoulder. "Then I'll be ready to move on." She was going to try and put Valhalla in the past and learn from what happened there. She would learn how to never become so frail and helpless and learn how to be strong again, with Riku's help.

"Okay," Riku said softly, closing his eyes. He ran one of his hands up and down Lightning's back in a soothing manner, continuing to hold her close. During this cry, he would be here. Lightning could count on him to always be a shoulder for her to cry on, whenever she needed it.

Light held onto Riku for a long time, gripping him so tightly that her muscles ached from the strain as she calmed herself down. She kept her head against his shoulder and faced towards his neck, forcing herself to take one of her hands away to wipe at her tear-stained cheeks. She had to start changing now...she needed to let go of her fear and shame and be herself again.

Destiny Islands, the next day

Roxas approached the apartment that used to be both Kairi and Naminé's, inserting the key the new primary owner gave him. He smiled at the thought as he opened the door, wondering what it would be like if he and Naminé had their own place. He practically lived here these days anyway. The thought was never far from reality, it seemed. Roxas's blue eyes found the young woman who always lingered in his thoughts, his smile still in tact when he saw her on the couch. "Hey babe," he called, slipping off his shoes. He hoped she didn't mind the unexpected visit.

Namine immediately looked towards the door, slightly unaccustomed to not being the one to let Roxas in. It was easy to just stay seated now that Roxas had his own key to come in, but today, she set down her stack of papers and walked over to him. "Hey sweetie," she said, giving him a kiss on the cheek in greeting. This was a nice surprise visit.

Roxas's smile softened at the greeting, and he wrapped an arm around Naminé's waist as he looked to the coffee table. "What's with the paper?" he asked, motioning toward it with a nod of his head. Was she coupon clipping again?

Namine glanced at the papers in references, feeling a slight blush creep into her cheeks already. She hadn't gotten a chance to tell Roxas her ideas yet, not that she had much time to, since the idea only occurred to her yesterday. She was seriously thinking of following through, and the papers were her research into that topic. "Well..."

"Well what?" Roxas asked, glancing at Naminé and seeing her blush. It made him smile a little more. He released her and started toward the couch. "Let's see what's got you blushing..." he said, plopping down on the cushion and leaning forward to look at the papers. ...Apartments? he thought, suddenly confused. His smile vanished and he raised an eyebrow. Was she not happy with this apartment? It was pretty nice....

Namine placed herself more gracefully onto the couch beside Roxas, briefly biting the inside of her cheek at Roxas's discovery. Well, she guessed now was as good a time as any to tell him her thoughts... "I'm thinking about moving," she said, though she supposed that was pretty obvious by the sheets of apartments.

Roxas turned his confused expression on Naminé. "...What's wrong with this place?" he asked softly. This apartment was great for what it was worth, and it was home. Or at least it felt that way. Did Kairi's moving out trigger this?

  • Author

"Not much," Namine said, knowing that was the truth. "But...I was thinking that I want to open an art studio, and this place wouldn't work for that with the layout and since it's not on the first floor, that makes it harder, so I'm trying to find a place where I can start out and maybe expand a little bit too, but it needs to not be too expensive or I can't afford it..." She was rambling on now, her cheeks growing pinker as she did so. She had big dreams now, and it was important to her that Roxas approved of them.

Roxas blinked in surprise. "You want to open a studio?" he repeated, a smile slowly forming. "Naminé, honey, that's great!" He didn't know she dreamed of doing that. If he had known, he would have helped. What a cool way to display her art though! Roxas was all for it.

Namine's blush remained as she finally looked into Roxas's eyes. "You really think so?" she asked, hanging on for his response before she got truly excited. Judging by his exuberant smile and enthusiastic response, he was being genuinely happy and in favor of the idea. She knew it was out of nowhere and spontaneous of her to pursue this, but she was getting more and more serious about it ever second.

"Of course I do!" Roxas said, his smile widening. He leaned back into the couch, looking to the wall in front of them as if he was actually in a studio. "Just imagine it. All of your artwork displayed on the walls for people to see. Who knows? Maybe they could even buy it." He shook his head. "Man, that'd be cool." He remembered how much everyone loved Naminé's artwork at the art museum a while back. She even won a competition! It would be just like that, but better.

  • Author

Namine smiled, glad for Roxas's response. He was imagining it the way that she was. "I was hoping to buy two floors, maybe," she said, focusing her gaze on the wall ahead of her. "The bottom floor for the studio and the top floor for living in." There were a few places like that in her pile of papers, but of course most were out of her price range.

"Huh," Roxas said, still gazing at the wall. He could imagine it; it was like those movies they always used to watch. The characters lived in that kind of building all the time. Roxas thought Naminé should go for it, of course. They were Nobodies, destined to fade away into nothingness, but here they were. They were given second chances. They needed to take advantage of them.

"I'm going to try painting a lot in the next few months and sell them for money for a new place," Namine said, allowing her passion to shine through now that she was sure of Roxas's opinion. "Maybe I could even go to different worlds and paint! Roxas, can we? Can we? There's nothing tying us down here right now, and we still have a few days before Sora and Kairi come back, and Riku's practically living in Cocoon these days... Oo, maybe I can go to Gran Pulse and paint a picture of Cocoon floating in the sky at night, with the stars behind it..."

Roxas chuckled, lifting a hand and placing it on Naminé's. "Yes, yes we can go," he said, amusement in his tone. He didn't really have a job these days, since his hours were so low. He could get money from fighting Heartless in the meantime, so they could have places to stay. It could work. But...what about the meadow? "...We'll just have to work a few things out first."

  • Author

Namine looked over at Roxas, both thrilled and curious at his response. "What do you mean?" she asked then. What things did they have to sort out? Yeah, she had to buy new paints and a few more canvases if they were going out, and she had to bring along her camera too since she also did photography, so she had to make sure that was in good shape to travel. And of course she had to pack clothes...

"Oh, uh..." Roxas lifted a hand to the back of his head as he glanced away. "You'll have to figure out rent...and then there's the daycare center..." Naminé still worked there, after all. She couldn't just up and leave. "And I have a few things I need to take care of on my own." Like the meadow. He had to figure out what exactly he was going to do with that.

  • Author

"Oh, yeah..." Namine said sheepishly. She'd have to turn in her resume at the day care. She at least had enough money to cover this month's rent, even without Kairi putting in her share. "Okay, then maybe in a week or two." Sora and Kairi were coming back, so obviously she wanted to be on the Islands for that and stick around a few days after to catch up with her Somebody.

"Yeah," Roxas said with a faint nod. "That sounds good." Two weeks would be great, actually. He could give in his resignation at work, work out some tweaks with the meadow, and say so long to his friends. It wasn't like they would be gone forever, of course. It would just be like a vacation.
