Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Namine looked over at Roxas, her look of excitement returning. "Are we really doing this?" she said with a giggle. Were they really going to leave on a whim like this so that she could pursue her art? She knew Roxas was happy to be wherever she was, but what was he going to do? He would get bored, watching her paint all the time...

Roxas's blue eyes found Naminé's, and he nodded with a faint smile. "I think we are," he said in reply. They were going to vacation across the worlds for who-knows-how-long, but he was okay with it. What did he have going for him here, anyway?

"We're really doing this," Namine laughed, sinking into the back of the couch. "Wait until I tell Kairi..." Kairi was going to be so happy for her. She watched Namine grow more confident in her art over the past few years, and this was the final step. She was devoting her entire existence to her art. Except for, of course, her dedication to her friends and to Roxas. That wasn't going to change with this new step forward.

"Sora's gonna be thrilled too," Roxas said, assuming Kairi was going to be the same. "He'll probably suggest what worlds we visit...and this gives me the chance to see as many as he has. I've always wanted to do that." This was the perfect opportunity.

"I'd say that they could come along, but they probably want to stay home right after their honeymoon..." Those two had to start getting their lives together now that they were married. As far as Namine knew, neither of them were that wealthy. Maybe Sora had more money saved up than she thought--she hoped he did, for their sake.

Roxas shrugged a little, leaning forward then to look at the papers Naminé had set out. "Probably. This is their second honeymoon, if you think about it," he said with a faint chuckle. What happened in Valhalla really turned things around. Everyone was affected that was directly involved.

"Even more reason for them to settle down for a little while," Namine agreed with a nod. Valhalla kept them all away from home for too long. A part of Namine wanted to stay, but at the same time, she was ready to put everything into her dream. Besides, if Roxas was going with her, she'd be happy.

Roxas nodded, grabbing the stack of papers and leaning back into the couch. He held out half the stack to Naminé. "So...shall we start hunting?" he asked, smirking faintly. If they were really going to do this, they would have to have a goal in mind. Picking a place for the studio was the first step, that way Naminé knew how much money she needed to get. Roxas would help.

"Let's," Namine agreed enthusiastically. It would be nice if she chose a place before leaving, just to know what all her work was going towards. To think that her dream could actually become a reality...It was so thrilling. There was a future as bright as the sun, and she was striving for it.

A week and a half later

Kairi rode into Destiny Islands on Sora's glider, her arms wrapped around his waist as they descended onto the beach. Both she and Sora had a feeling that of all worlds, Riku would be here, as well as their other friends. After a week and a half (a few days longer than their last honeymoon) away, they decided it was finally time to come back to reality. The honeymoon in itself was bliss. Kairi had never been so happy. And now she hoped to gush the details to their friends, and catch up. She had missed them. Riku and Lightning were at one of the cafe's along the beach, having lunch. Hopefully they didn't mind a couple guests.

Lightning was facing the beach where Sora and Kairi touched down, while Riku's back was towards it. That was why she was fighting not to grin at the sight of Riku's two best friends. One of them (Sora) caught her eye and was frantically waving his arms horizontally, trying to tell Lightning not to let Riku know that they were coming. Apparently Sora wanted Riku to find out they were there when they were two steps away.

Kairi couldn't help but giggle at Sora's secret message, one she went along with in silence. Riku had no idea! This was going to be a great surprise. She really missed her big brother.

Riku set his drink down after taking a sip, still talking about how his friends were all going places. He just discussed how Roxas and Naminé told Riku not too long ago that they were taking off to go on an adventure of their own. Riku couldn't have been happier for them; they deserved to have their own lives, and to shape them how they saw fit. "And who knows when Sora and Kairi are coming back?" he said, grabbing at a fry. "They should have been home by now. I bet Sora talked Kairi into staying a bit longer so he could slack off some more. As if he doesn't do it enough." Of course Riku was saying this all with love, his small smile showing it. He just...missed his friends.

Light knew that if Sora heard that, he would have a hard time keeping his mouth shut in protest. Thankfully he was just far enough away that Riku's remark of laziness didn't reach him as he silently approached. "You've been pretty lazy too," Light said, snatching a fry out of Riku's fingers before he could get it closer to his mouth. "I think Sora's been rubbing off on you." Not that that was a bad thing; it was about time Riku felt comfortable relaxing. The worlds were finally at peace.

"Ha-ha," Riku said in mock amusement, giving Lightning a look. "My lack of work lately may have something to do with it, but I'll never be as lazy as that bum. I was the one who did all the work at building that raft." Lightning knew the one he was talking about, the one he and his friends were going to use to leave the Islands. They wouldn't have lasted three days, something he realized clearly now. He was too naïve to notice back then.

  • Author

"Only Kairi's allowed to call me a bum," Sora said, suddenly standing behind Riku's shoulder. Riku's seriously going on about that raft? That was ages ago! Sora believed he had grown up since then, and he had, considering the fact that he was now a married man. But Riku's words were still going to cost him. French fries would be the price for now. He reached over Riku towards the fries and grabbed one, ready to chow down.

Riku's eyes widened as he jumped a bit, surprised by the sudden voice and the giggle on his other side. He turned his head to look over his shoulder, his eyes lighting up as he recognized who he saw. "...Hey!" he said, grinning. Upon seeing Sora grab the fry, however, he smacked it out of his hand and rose to his feet to greet them. As if he was going to let Sora steal his food. That never happened.

Kairi laughed softly at the boys' antics, shaking her head a little. "Same old Riku," she said with a smile. They shared a brief kiss on the cheek before he wrapped his arms around her in a big hug, lifting her off the floor a little. "Good to see you!"

"Agreed," Sora said, though his mouth was already full of fries by the time of his follow-up. Riku smacked the one fry away, but he failed to move the rest of the fries out of Sora's reach. Big mistake on his part, obviously. And Lightning wasn't paying much attention to Sora; she was watching the interaction between Riku and Kairi with an amused expression.

Riku chuckled softly as he set Kairi down, placing a hand on her shoulder before he turned his head to look at his best friend. "Can you stop eating for five seconds?" he asked, lifting an eyebrow as he smirked. Sora could give him a proper greeting; the usual one-armed hug, or their signature "arm-to-arm" handshake they always used to do. It was better than stealing Riku's food.

Sora swallowed his food, tasting the refreshing salty fries in his mouth for a few more seconds. It was a tall order to ask him to stop eating, but he didn't steal anymore fries immediately. "I guess," Sora sighed, taking a grasp on Riku's hand and moving in for the "man hug". Despite his goofiness with stealing the food, he really did miss his best friend.

Riku shook his head as he clasped Sora's hand and gave him a brief hug, patting him on the back. "Good to see that appetite of yours didn't disappear," he said, his smile turning crooked. "Or maybe you two didn't have enough time to eat with all the honeymoon benefits?"

Kairi had walked over to Lightning's side of the table and wrapped her arms around her from behind to give her a small hug in greeting, even if the pink-haired woman was still sitting down. She blushed upon hearing what Riku had to say. "Riku!" she whined, cheeks heating up. "Good to see you, Lightning," she said in a kinder tone, treating the girl as she normally would have: like family. Anybody who Riku loved, they loved. It was just how it worked.

Sora was blushing at Riku's words, and if he showed any physical aggravation, he knew Riku would never let him live it down. So he focused his attention on Kairi and Lightning instead. "L-let's give her a group hug," he suggested with a slight grin. Upon seeing Lightning's surprised look, his smirk expanded. "You're still not used to all the hugs we give in this group. We gotta change that." Starting now.

Riku's smirk grew at the reactions he got to the innuendo, but he only motioned for Sora to go ahead and give Lightning the group hug. Kairi still hard her arms around Lightning's shoulders, so she didn't move. Riku simply watched, hearing a light giggle from Kairi. It was good to have his friends back. He missed these amusing situations.

When Sora came over and Kairi released Lightning enough to allow her to stand up, Sora initiated a warm hug. He knew for sure that Lightning was going to be in his family one day, and he couldn't have been happier about that, despite all the bad things that were said in Valhalla. "We missed you, Light."

Lightning was surprised at Sora's remark, and her arms loosened slightly around his back. They missed her? She was caught off guard by that, just because she imagined that Sora and Kairi would miss people like Riku, Roxas, and Namine. Lightning was so quiet and serious sometimes that she thought she wasn't a part of the group. But she was, and knowing that Sora and Kairi apparently both missed her made her realize something too. I missed you guys too.

Kairi looked over at Riku during the hug Sora and Lightning shared, and his cocky smirk was gone now. Instead, it was replaced with genuine happiness. Seeing that...it made Kairi tear up a little. Riku...she thought. He was really in love, and seeing people who were like his siblings welcome a woman so openly and lovingly into their family was something big for him. That much she knew. With that in mind, she sent a faint wink his way and joined the hug Sora claimed would be a "group hug."

"About time you joined in," Sora teased Kairi, one of his arms wrapping around her while one of Lightning's tentatively did the same. "What took you so long?" He missed the silent interaction with Riku and Kairi; he had been waiting for the latter to join their hug. It wasn't much of a group hug with just two people in on it.
