Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Kairi only smiled, her eyes still holding moisture from the sudden rush of emotions. "It's nothing," she told her husband gently, taking in the group hug. It was nice. Even if she wasn't looking at him, she could tell Riku was just as touched. It wasn't often that he got that way, but when he did, it had something to do with the people sharing the embrace.

Sora didn't bother pestering Kairi for answers; even he knew group hugs weren't the time for interrogations. But he did have a question for his best friend. No--he had a demand. "Join the hug or we'll throw Lightning in the water," he threatened in good nature. The ocean was close by enough that they could throw Lightning in and get her soaked, and if Riku wanted to help with that, then great. If not, he had to join the group hug.

Riku rolled his eyes, not only at the threat but at the pain he would suffer if he let that happen. That wasn't exactly something he wanted, but to join in on a group hug, however innocent it was, would be alright. Better, actually. He stepped around the table and squeezed in between Lightning and Kairi, ruffling the redhead's hair lovingly, his other hand squeezing Lightning's waist.

Lightning smiled softly, lifting one of her hands and setting it on the back of Riku's head as she lightly ruffled his hair. She was glad that he was so happy. She had been watching his happiness when Sora and Kairi first arrived, and now she could feel it radiating off of him. It was good to see him so delighted, and so willing to join in on this "ridiculous" group hug.

Kairi waited another small moment before she quietly began to retreat. "It's good to see you guys again," she said to the two beside her. "We didn't mean to interrupt your lunch." The food was getting cold, and she doubted Riku and Lightning wanted to pay for ruined food.

Riku kept his arm around Lightning's waist regardless of whether the hug was ending or not. "Don't sweat it," he said with a small smile. "You guys are welcome to join us if you want, if that's alright." He looked to Lightning with the last bit, wondering what she thought. It was a lunch date of theirs, but it was up to her if she wanted extra company.

Lightning looked up at Riku with a look that clearly said, Are you kidding? Of course they can stay. She didn't care that they interrupted a date. These were Sora and Kairi--Riku's two best friends in the world. Obviously they could stick around and catch up with Riku over lunch. Light would sit quietly and take in Riku's happiness over his two returned friends.

After analyzing Lightning's look, Sora wasted no time. "I claim the fries," Sora said, diving for the fries on the table as he plopped himself down into Riku's previous seat. They were a bit cold in his mouth now, but he didn't mind one bit. Any food was good food to him.

Riku caught Kairi's apologetic look his way, but he only winked and took a seat beside Lightning's original spot. Kairi took the seat opposite him as he grabbed the burger off his plate. Sora could have the fries, but the burger was Riku's. Sora wouldn't be eating all of his food today.

Lightning hadn't started her burger yet; she had been snacking on fries and drinking her water. So when she saw Kairi's gaze land on her burger, she held out the plate towards her. "You look hungry," she said simply. If Kairi wanted it, she could have it. Lightning could go inside and order something else.

Riku lifted an eyebrow as Kairi smiled sheepishly and thanked Lightning. "So I was right," he said, catching the redhead's attention. "Benefits." They didn't eat much, from what he could tell. And by Kairi's red face, he was right. He chuckled and set his burger down on a napkin before looking to Lightning. "Anything else you want?" Since their friends were stealing the food, he could get some more. This date was on him, after all.

Light shook her head, rising to her feet. "I got it." She could go in and order more food; she didn't want to tear Riku away from his friends just a few minutes after they returned. After Valhalla, everyone was probably going to be clingy for a while. it was only natural. But never mind that; she was going to get some more food.

Riku dug into his pocket and pulled out his wallet, grabbing some money. "Can you get me some more fries?" he asked, jerking his thumb toward Sora. "The hound devoured all of mine." And with his money, Lightning could get whatever else she wanted.

While Sora mumbled a protest with his mouth full of food, Light smirked at Riku and held up her own wallet. "I got it," she repeated, meaning that not only would she get him more fries, but she would pay for it too. So what if she was out of a job? She wasn't going to be stingy today. Until she and Riku had jobs, they would have to take turns paying for things like this. She recognized it, but Riku was stubborn about having her pay.

Riku smiled faintly at the words, lifting his hand and briefly running it over Lightning's arm closest to him. He nodded his thanks in silence. He knew what she was doing; she was giving him a few minutes alone with his friends. They had a lot of catching up to do. The last week or so had been eventful.

"Can I request two double cheeseburgers, a medium fry and a coke?" Sora asked Lightning just as she turned to go. She stopped and gave him a look of amusement, to which he could only grin. What could he say? He was a hungry guy, and not for the reasons Riku kept on implying. They both just had hearty appetites, that's all...

Riku's eyes widened, his gaze going from Sora to Kairi repeatedly. "Jeez, what'd you guys do to each other while you were gone?" he asked, only to get a ketchup packet to the face. "Hey!" How was Sora that hungry after devouring Riku's fries? The term "bottomless pit" was an understatement, clearly.

Go easy on them, Lightning almost said, though she focused her attention on the blushing redhead. "Did you want anything else?" It was only polite of her to ask after all; her husband was going to get a meal from Lightning and her kindness, so Kairi could too if she wanted to. And to think Lightning was only going to go up and order some fries for herself...

Kairi had a hand shielding her face from Riku's view as she turned to look at Lightning. "No, it's okay," she said with a small smile. "Thank you." She would just steal some of Sora's fries and take sips from his drink. Meanwhile, she would try to disregard all of Riku's sexual innuendos. She should have known this was coming...

Before Lightning headed in to order more food, she cast Riku a look that told him to behave himself. But that was all that she could do before Sora and Kairi were on their own. If it was between getting free food and putting up with his best friend's jokes or paying for his own meal, Lightning knew that Sora would pick getting free food any day.

Riku caught that look, but when Lightning walked off, he went back to his usual taunting. His best friends had a week and a half break, and now he was making up for lost time. But seriously, if they were both that hungry, what did they do before they got here this afternoon? Riku could only smirk as one answer popped into his mind, which made Kairi whine in embarrassment. Get used to it, Kairi. Sora may have beat him to that punch, but that was even more reason to pick on him in Riku's eyes.

Sora's cheeks remained red the whole conversation, and he silently begged Lightning to return. But the order was apparently too large to come through quickly. "C-c'mon, Riku," Sora tried. "I can think of a few times where you had an appetite like this..." He and Riku had always both been big eaters, but he could think of occasions where Riku ate extra.

"That was after sparring for hours on end," Riku said, his crooked smile still present. "I highly doubt that's what you and Kairi did on your honeymoon." The trip after a wedding wasn't meant for fighting. It was meant for romance and bonding as a married couple. From the looks of things, Sora and Kairi succeeded.

"Right. You were 'sparring,'" Sora said in obvious suspicion. Whether he actually believed that or not, he needed to get the attention off himself and Kairi. This was embarrassing! He hoped that Roxas wouldn't be like this when they met up later, or Sora would eat himself into a coma in embarrassed agony.

Riku lifted an eyebrow, looking at Sora in confusion. Hold on, what was Sora getting at? Was he talking about how hungry Riku was after he actually sparred with Sora, or was he referring to all of the times Riku hung out with Lightning? Because Riku and Lightning...They weren't at that level.

"Your silence says it all, Riku," Sora piped with a victorious smirk. He finally got Riku to shut up, which was a big relief for him and Kairi. It was great to be back with his best friend and all, but the jokes were getting a little...too much. That happened in the past too, where one of them actually became offended by the other's teasing. Riku was pushing it.

Kairi could only laugh at the look on Riku's face. "That's one for Sora and Kairi, and zero for Riku," she said, grabbing her husband's hand briefly. "You have romance in your life too, Riku. You love her, when I clearly remember you saying you hated girls. Well, except for me." She saw Riku glance away and grumble under his breath, and she knew he was defeated. Game over.
