Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Sora smirked, intertwining his fingers with Kairi's. "Now that that's out of the way," he said, setting an elbow on the table. "Anything exciting in your life in the past week and a half?" Riku wasn't going to know every detail of their honeymoon. He'd tell him later how he tried harder to get Kairi into video games, and how she tried to get him to watch a girly TV show, but for now, he wanted an update from Riku.

Riku leaned back in his seat and sighed, thinking over the past week. There was some news with Roxas and Naminé, but that wasn't his to share, at least to Sora and Kairi. "...That condo that Light had before Valhalla?" he said, glancing at both of them. "Somehow it's in my name now." He owned the place...but why? It didn't make any sense.

Kairi blinked, confused. "...You're kidding," she said softly, though she clearly believed Riku. It must have been the change in the timeline. Maybe this one was somehow different in other ways too, and they just didn't know what those changes were.

Sora leaned back in his chair, perplexed. "Huh..." he mused softly. He was afraid of the timeline changing, but at least it didn't change the way he feared it would. Pulse taunted him and said Riku would have the Keyblade and Kairi would fall in love with him, but obviously that didn't happen. At least the biggest change they knew of so far (other than Lightning's friends being alive) was the condo in Riku's name.

"And Lightning has--had her job in the Corps, but she resigned," Riku revealed, glancing away at the thought. He had a feeling as to why she did it; she didn't want to be anyone's puppet, or so he believed. After Valhalla, nobody would want that.

Sora was as confused as Riku and Serah were when they first heard the news of Lightning's resignation. After all, Lightning was so dedicated to that job in the past that she was devastated to lose her job. Then she was willing to go away for three months to work for them again. "Why?" he asked without thought. And Riku didn't look happy that she quit...What exactly did they miss while they were gone?

"It's not my place to say," Riku said with a small shake of his head. "But...it opens a lot of doors. I've decided that I want to live with her, permanently. Whether that's going to be here on the Islands or back on Cocoon, I'm not really sure." It was a big choice to make. He really had to discuss it with Lightning, without an argument coming into play.

Kairi's eyes widened at that. She was surprised to hear Riku say such a thing. He was so stuck on leaving the Islands when they were younger, but when he got back home, he was relieved to be there. Now he possibly wanted to move away for good?

Sora shifted uneasily on his seat. "I can't picture you leaving the Islands..." Yeah, they all wanted to leave when they were younger, but now it was their home. It was a safe haven, unlike other worlds that seemed to attract so much trouble. And as selfish as it was, Sora didn't want Riku moving away. It would break up the trio.

"You sound like Light," Riku admitted with a faint smile, not really sure how he felt about the realization. A part of him really wanted to branch out and live on another world, just for change. But it was also different because Cocoon's world was Lightning's home. That added a more personal level into the decision.

"Maybe there's a reason for that," Kairi told Riku gently. Maybe Lightning had a point; she clearly argued in Sora and Kairi's favor. Riku belonged on the Islands.

Kairi and Lightning are right, Sora agreed. But he didn't feel like getting into an argument, since it was going to be a touchy subject. And Lightning had a right to be a part of it since Riku would obviously be moving to Cocoon because of her. She sure was taking her time with the food, that was for sure.

"Cocoon was more of an option when Lightning had her job," Riku said after a small moment of silence. "But now...I don't know." He was lost on what to do. He definitely wanted Lightning to stay there for her friends and family, especially Serah. But he got the message his friends gave him when they first arrived; Lightning was their family too.

"We'll talk about it some other day," Sora said. At least it wasn't a set decision that Riku was moving away; there was still time to try and get him to stick around on the Islands. And he was sure Lightning would be on their side, because she cared deeply about Riku and knew what the Islands meant to him. He couldn't seriously move to Cocoon...just...no way.

Kairi let a silence set in, but only for a moment. "So...it looks like you're staying out of trouble," she told Riku. That was good at least. When she and Sora left, Riku was having some conflicts with Snow and his friends. She wondered how that was going. She assumed he was alright, since he seemed to be enjoying himself.

Riku smiled slightly in amusement. "Yeah," he said with a small nod. "Haven't heard you ask me that in a long time." Not just because they didn't see each other lately, but it had been years since he was asked that. Kairi always used to tease him because he was such a troublemaker when they were younger. He caused trouble sometimes these days, but only when it was necessary.

"I've been keeping him in check," Light filled in, finally returning with the food. She saw Sora's eyes light up at the tray she held in her hands, which carried everything that he wanted and something small for herself. And, of course, she got the fries that Riku requested. She set the tray in front of Sora before she took off her and Riku's items, giving him his food and setting hers at her seat.

"Thank you," Riku said, grabbing a fry as he nodded to Lightning. He may have been thanking her for the food, but he was also thanking her for "keeping him in check." If it hadn't been for her, he would have lost it on Snow and his friends by now. She reasoned with him and calmed him down. But Sora and Kairi didn't have to know that.

"Yeah, thanks," Sora agreed, taking a huge bite of his burger. It was still so hot and fresh... But his thanks wasn't just for the food, it was for Lightning keeping Riku in check. "We camt maymesit him anmymoe..." he said around  his mouthful of food. Riku looked out for everyone in the past, but at the same time, they looked out for him. It was going to be harder now if he was really moving to Cocoon.

Riku chewed on his fries, and upon hearing the remark, he threw a punch at Sora's shoulder for it. As if they ever babysat him! If anything, it was the other way around. Riku always took care of Sora and Kairi like they were his own siblings. And truthfully, they were. Those two were the siblings he never had.

"Ouch!" Sora whined with clarity, the food swallowed. Riku was lucky he was done with his big bite before the punch; otherwise, he may have choked in surprise. "You know, Lightning, maybe you aren't keeping him in check good enough...He's still pretty abusive."

"He only does it when the other person deserves it," Light piped around her french fry. Riku may have punched Sora, but the punch wasn't hard and it was deserved in the playful manner that it was given. And that was that.

Riku smiled in triumph, glancing over at Lightning as Kairi giggled and lovingly patted Sora's shoulder. See why I love her? he asked his friends, raising an eyebrow at them. Lightning understood him, a lot. He never thought anybody would.

"I should have known," Sora sighed, leaning back into his seat before he looked over at his wife. "You should stick up for me like that. Say that I didn't deserve to be punched..." It was one small comment! And Riku could have held back a little bit more if Sora did have to be hit...

"You know just as well as I do that Riku does it out of love," Kairi said, squeezing her husband's shoulder before retreating. "But next time I'll be sure to take the punch instead." She was joking of course. She never wanted to be in the line of fire to one of Riku's punches, even if he didn't hit as hard as he could have. Riku would never do that to her anyway. If anything, he'd mess up her hair.

  • Author

"Yeah, right," Sora chuckled, shaking his head. As if he was ever going to let that happen. "I would never let you take the punishment I deserve--" He caught his words as soon as they were out of his mouth, his eyes widening. "N-not that I deserved to be punched just now!" No, that wasn't what he meant at all. "And I never do enough to deserve to be punched. Riku just overreacts and hits people when they--" He shut his eyes, realizing he was digging himself a deeper hole. "You should have just eaten your food, Lightning," he sighed in defeat. Then she wouldn't have been defending Riku and getting him to dig this hole.

"You brought me into it," Lightning stated with an arched brow. To that, Sora only groaned in defeat. He had no way out of this now.

Riku laughed softly, reaching over and placing a hand on Lightning's that was on the table. Remembering the score Kairi declared before, he matched it. "Now it's tied one to one," he said. He and Lightning won an argument, but so did Sora and Kairi. He had a feeling this would continue for a while. He and Sora always used to keep scores, about everything.

Lightning looked over at Riku, her arched brow remaining. One to one? Sora and Kairi hadn't won anything while she was here, so she assumed that they got their one point while she was away getting food. "You lost something while I was gone?" she asked Riku, giving him a mock look of disappointment.

Riku looked over at Lightning and shrugged with a sheepish smile. "It wasn't anything big, at least," he admitted. Just a little choice of words and such. Lightning didn't really need to know, and he didn't want to share, since Riku didn't know how to explain it.

"The only reason you guys won this argument was because you're here, Light," Sora said, speaking around his food again. "You're the brains of the relationship, after all." He immediately leaned away from Riku, prepared for a punch that was probably going to come his way. What could he say though? Riku was smart, but Lightning--she was brilliant. Especially with anything concern war and battle.
