Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Oh no, no, no, no, no..." Namine said, shaking her head as her eyes widened. Why was Roxas going to make her do something that was so out of her comfort zone?! It took a moment, but then she softened. Roxas liked sporty, active stuff like this. He probably needed to move around a little bit after all the sitting and standing around they did earlier. Fine, I'll try...but I'm not doing anything crazy.

Roxas stopped walking and turned to look at Naminé, his expression softening at the way she protested. "C'mon, just give it a chance," he encouraged, squeezing her hand gently. "You don't have to ski if you don't want to. You just need to steer the jet ski." He smiled warmly, his eyes the same. "I'll be with you the whole way."

Namine paused a moment and then squeezed Roxas's hand. "For you," she complied, starting forward again. She would take part in this for him, so that he could have fun, and she hoped that she could have fun along the way. She just really hoped she didn't mess up. It wasn't like she ever drove one of these things before.

Roxas couldn't help but grin in excitement, following Naminé's lead as they approached the man who would rent them the jet skis. Roxas already paid for them beforehand, so all they had to do was strap on their lifejackets. The skis were latched onto the back of the single jet ski, and Roxas climbed on first, then offering his hand to Naminé.

Namine hesitantly accepted Roxas's hand before climbing on behind him. No different from riding a glider, she tried to tell herself. But it was different. For one thing, she was always standing on the back of the glider, not sitting on it. And that was in the middle of nowhere. If she fell off this, she'd fall into the water with the sharks. Okay, so there probably weren't sharks, but still...

Roxas listened to the guy tell him how to operate the jet ski, and he just nodded until the guy was finished. This thing was nearly the same as a glider. "Got it, thanks!" Roxas called over the engine, having started a second before. He glanced over his shoulder at the girl he loved. "You set?" he called. When she had a hold on him, he would start off.

"I guess," Namine said, leaning forward to wrap her arms around him more tightly. She wasn't really ready to blast out of here, so she hoped that Roxas took it slow at first. But knowing him, he was probably excited to go fast on this thing. It was best that she be prepared for it.

Roxas steered the jet ski away from the dock, and once they were a good distance away, he took off. Good thing Naminé was holding on tight. He didn't want her to fall off, of course, but this was so awesome! He always wanted to get on one of these things. "Woohoo!" he cried, then laughing as they rode over the water. This was so cool!

Namine held back a squeal, keeping her firm grip on Roxas as she squeezed her eyes shut. She knew that this was going to happen! She knew he was going to go too fast and freak her out! ...Yet, as the moments slowly passed, she became aware of other things. The firmness of Roxas's stomach, and the confidence of his build. He wasn't a teenager anymore. He was a young man. A young man who she loved and trusted more than anybody else.

Roxas laughed as he took a turn, the jet ski jumping a little as he went over the small waves. He knew this was a good idea! And Naminé wasn't screaming or anything, so she had to be enjoying it too, right? He looked up as seagulls flew overhead, the sun shining down as the water glistened in the light. Today was a beautiful day, and he was happy. If he wasn't mistaken, so was Naminé. That was one of the best things he could ask for.

Namine found herself smiling softly. That was right--she didn't have to be afraid, because she knew Roxas wouldn't lead her into a situation where she could get hurt. This part wasn't that big of a deal. It was driving her own jet ski that scared her, or the idea of going on the skis. But...if he thought she could do it, and if she trusted his opinion...maybe she could do it.

"How ya feeling back there?" Roxas cried over the sound of the jet ski hitting the water. The smile was in his voice as he glanced over his shoulder, then looking forward again to steer the jet ski. They passed a few people who were riding separate ones, and they seemed to be having just as much fun as Roxas. But the question was, was Naminé okay?

"Good," Namine called back, taking in the sights around them for the first time. She was good. They were still going pretty fast, but it wasn't that bad now that she realized nothing was going to happen as long as she kept a hold on Roxas. She'd been calling him her guardian angel for a few years, and the name still fit even today.

Roxas made another turn with the jet ski, seeing the Island not too far off. If he wasn't mistaken, he could see some of his friends there. "Wanna go say hi?" he called, looking over in that direction. Sora didn't know about the jet ski, so he would probably be jealous. Roxas couldn't wait to see his face.

Namine looked over at the Island, seeing a few people there. She was surprised Roxas wanted to go over, but she tried not to let it show. "...I think I'd rather try to drive one for myself," she said as she started to blush. "Before I lose my nerve." She had to make herself do it now, before she chickened out.

Roxas couldn't help but smirk proudly. He knew Naminé would be able to do this, and he was proud of her for it. That's my girl. "Alright, gimme a sec," he said, steering the jet ski past the Island. He glanced in that direction, but he didn't lift his arm in a wave. Instead, he drove the water mobile back toward the mainland. He would let Naminé start near there first.

Later that evening, Namine reflected on all that happened on that ocean. The jet skiing had definitely been one of the most frightening situations she willingly put herself into. First she got on the back of one, then she drove one by herself...and finally, she did ride on the skis. She wasn't graceful at all on them and only managed to stay standing a few times, but she did it. And apparently the adventurous day wasn't over yet. She was back in her apartment, changing into clothes for the rest of the night. What does Roxas have planned?

Roxas looked at the pictures Naminé had hanging up on the wall, seeing how happy she was in each of her pictures. They were either of her with Sora, Kairi, the group, or Roxas. He appreciated the ones of the two of them most. After tonight, he believed they would truly begin their lives together. Today was just a start, after all; the lunch, the festival, and then the jet skiing. He managed to stay on the skis longer than Naminé, but he didn't criticize her for it; she did great for her first time. Now...he just had one more surprise up her sleeve. Well, two really. The meadow...and then the proposal.

Namine looked in the mirror, fixing her hair. It looked like her face was a little sunburnt, but that was okay. Somehow, when she looked in this mirror, she thought she looked older. Old enough to be married. It was strange to think that Kairi was her age and married off, but at the same time, it was fitting. Sora and Kairi loved each other deeply, and Namine and Roxas loved each other too. The day they made it official would be coming someday. Until then, she was going to enjoy every day she had with the one she loved.

Roxas tucked his hands into his pockets, wearing jeans and a t-shirt with a nice jacket. It was supposed to be a little chilly tonight, so when they got here, he told Naminé to dress warm. His pockets were empty; the ring he would offer later tonight was at the meadow. Things there were already in place.

"Oh!" Namine blushed, recalling that Roxas was waiting for her. She subconsciously straightened her hair one more time before stepping out of the room and heading to the living room. "Sorry I took so long," she apologized. She spent part of the time getting ready and part of the time actually putting on clothes. She had on a simple outfit--a pair of dark blue jeans, a lavender shirt, and a navy blue infinity scarf. She didn't know what they were doing, but she hoped this outfit was okay.

"That's alright," Roxas said, turning his head in time to see Naminé enter the living room. "You look beautiful, as usual." He smiled softly, his eyes warm as he appreciated the sight before him. After tonight, if Naminé agreed to his proposal, he would see the person before him every morning and every night. It would be...great.

Namine blushed at the compliment, as she usually did. "Thanks," she said, knowing Roxas would never lie to flatter a person. You look pretty good yourself, she thought, eyeing him and his outfit. It was a nice look for him. In fact, she didn't think she saw that jacket before tonight. It must have been new.

Roxas felt Naminé's gaze on him, which only encouraged his smile to remain. He rubbed his neck in slight shyness before finding her jacket near the door. He started toward it, taking it off the hanger and holding it out so she could slip it on. "You might need this," he said softly. "It's going to be a little chilly tonight."

As Namine slipped on the jacket, she asked Roxas a question. "Now can I know where we're going?" she asked, looking over her shoulder once her jacket was on. He had been keeping his lips sealed, but she could know now, couldn't she? She would figure it out once they started heading over, after all.
