Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Namine looked up at Roxas, her mouth falling agape. A sketchpad and colored pencils... He knew exactly what she needed. Not to mention that this was deja vu, because in the past, Roxas brought her up so that she could draw this beautiful place. She could never forget her favorite work of art--a doodle she did of her and Roxas sitting on this hilltop and staring up at the stars. But today, she had such inspiration she might top that one. She greedily accepted the materials from him, though she beamed from ear to ear while she did. "I love you," she sighed.

Roxas chuckled softly as he sat down beside Naminé. "I love you too," he declared gently. He put his guitar case on the ground and grabbed the snacks out of his bag, leaving the blanket inside for now. He didn't think they would need it for a little while; it wasn't too chilly just yet. He placed grapes and strawberries out for Naminé to snack on while she drew. He would watch the sunset for a few minutes, then play his guitar.

As Namine drew, she was completely enthralled by the beauty and her urge to draw. Whatever snacks she took were taken unconsciously, and when her foot gently tapped along to Roxas's gentle tune, she didn't realize it. She had to draw. She had to somehow convey all the beauty and all of her joyful feelings onto a piece of paper. How hard it was, drawing something so infinitely beautiful and happy on such a limited space! But she managed somehow.

Roxas glanced over at Naminé's drawing as he played a soft tune, smiling at the beauty that was already present on the paper. He then lifted his blue eyes to the girl beside her. No, not girl--woman. She was a young, beautiful woman who he would love to call his in the future, to call his wife. Naminé would be the best companion he could ask for.

Namine's drawing reflected all that she was thinking, and all she imagined this place representing. It represented a place of safety, a place of intimacy, and, now more than ever, a place of rebirth. Beauty rose from the ashes of destruction. The world was a scary, harsh place, but even more than that, it was beautiful. Without even realizing it, she began to shed soft tears, though they weren't tears of sorrow. They sprouted from joy.

Roxas saw the first tear trickle down Naminé's cheek, and he blinked at the sight. But then he recognized it as a tear of joy, not of sorrow. He stopped strumming his guitar and lifted his hand to run over Naminé's back. He never liked to see her cry, but in this instance, it was okay. She was happy, and that mattered most to Roxas.

Namine released a laugh, wiping at her eyes when she recognized what was happening. "Sorry," she apologized. "I couldn't keep them in. This is..." She looked over at Roxas, struggling to find the right words to define everything that this was. No words could do it justice. Her picture hardly could either. It was rough because it was drawn so quickly and emotionally, but that almost made it more beautiful. And by this point, it was going to be harder to get any further with it. The fireflies didn't provide much light.

Roxas smiled, tilting his head to the side slightly. "Mm," he hummed in understanding, nodding a little. He understood what Naminé couldn't say. She was speechless, but in a good way. He did that. Roxas felt...proud to have done something so special for Naminé. She deserved it after all. But...there was one more thing he wanted to do, and while it would take a minute to get himself together for it, now was the perfect time.

Namine smiled softly, wiping at her eyes one last time. "There, gone," she said, referring to the tears. She was holding them back, though her eyes were still moist from the happy tears. She could tell Roxas wasn't teasing her for getting so emotional over this; in fact, he seemed to be overflowing with happiness too. It made sense, since happiness was so contagious.

Roxas smiled a little more before leaning over and pressing a kiss to Naminé's head of blonde hair. He held the position, closing his eyes for a moment before retreating. Once Naminé got back to her drawing, he would sneak away to prepare for his true surprise. The opportunity he had been waiting on for years.

Namine watched Roxas retreat for a few moments, but then she returned to her drawing. She wanted to incorporate the fireflies somehow, because they were so beautiful in her eyes, but she wasn't quite sure how to do it. Maybe in the shades of the trees she could start drawing them...Or maybe she should just start a new picture that was set at night when the fireflies were most obvious. Or maybe she should focus on not cluttering her picture with them at all...

Roxas waited a few moments before quietly rising from his seat. The look on Naminé's face gave her away--she was so focused on her work that she wouldn't notice him leave. He silently stepped away to go to the center of the meadow, his guitar in hand. In his pocket, the item he stole from his backpack rested in secrecy. He patted it as he let out a quiet breath, closing his eyes as he focused on calming himself down. First thing's first, he thought. ...Play.

The shadows, Namine decided. She would draw some fireflies in the shadows. It was fitting since the picture was set during sunset. The light of the fireflies would barely be noticeable compared to the sunset, but she would know.

Roxas turned, gazing at Naminé as he stood a few yards away. Fireflies moved around the open area, but his eyes were on Naminé. The person who taught him how to love, who convinced him he could love. Roxas let out another small breath and situated his guitar, the strap going over his shoulder as he held it in the correct position. He then began to strum the newest song, looking up to the woman he loved.

It took Namine a few moments to realize that Roxas was playing louder than he was before. And he was standing behind her, so that she couldn't see him. She glanced over her shoulder curiously, noticing parts of him lit well with the fireflies. Roxas looked beautiful. Not in a girly kind of way, but he was handsome and strong but gentle and loving, and now she couldn't take her eyes off him.

"I see something in you, something nobody sees," Roxas began, his eyes stuck on the light blue opposite him. "I see yellow and blue, yeah, the sunshine and the sea." He took a small step forward, singing to the woman he loved. "When I think of love, I think of you. Yeah, it's my favorite thing to do... You're my missing puzzle piece. Yeah, you are perfect for me."

Namine set down her sketchpad and pencil, turning around completely. Roxas wasn't just playing for fun anymore, she realized. He was playing a song for her. A song that she never heard before. As usual, her cheeks began to turn pink at the sentiment and the lyrics. Roxas's songs always made her feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

"You walk into the room. All eyes are on you. Everyone wants to know your name," Roxas sang, closing his eyes as he continued. "Baby, you make 'em swoon. Yeah baby, you're so smooth. You take every breath I breathe away." He opened his eyes to gaze at the girl he loved, strumming new chords. "Just wanna tell you, baby, how much I am feelin' you. You, you, you, you, you..."

As usual, Namine's blush remained. It wasn't a cool night (yet), but she got chills. Whenever Roxas wrote her a song and sang it to her, she was touched. But often times he was too excited to keep the song a secret and consoled her throughout the writing process for advice. This song was different though. Much like everything else today, it was a complete surprise.

Roxas smiled slightly at the look on Naminé's face, finding it too adorable to conceal a smirk. "Yeah, you've got your own rules," he continued. "I don't mind playin' your way. Baby, take me to school. And I'll pay attention to every word you say, yeah." He sang the chorus again, strumming a little faster. "You walk into the room, all eyes are on you. Everyone wants to know your name. Baby, you make 'em swoon. Yeah, baby, you're so smooth. You take every breath I breathe away... Just wanna tell you, baby, how much I am feelin' you."

Namine pulled her legs close and wrapped her arms around them, not taking her eyes off Roxas for a moment. She noticed that smirk tugging at his lips and returned it with a sheepish smile of her own. He surely was used to her shyness by now. But then again, she still wasn't used to the feelings that hit her hard when he sang and played to her. It would always set her heart aflutter.

"I'm right where I wanna be," Roxas sang, taking another step closer to Naminé as his smile widened slightly to reveal some of his teeth. "Next to you standin' next to me. Oh baby, why don't you take my hand, and we'll walk to the other side, where all we see is that love is blind? I think by now you understand." Roxas's eyes had closed with the high note, but he opened his bright blues to stare into the eyes he loved. "Just wanna tell you, baby, how much I am feelin'..." He returned to the chorus, the last part of his newest song, another that declared his love for Naminé.

Namine bit down on her lip. Roxas always wrote to tell her how he felt, and this one flat out said that. She wished that she was good with words like he was. She wanted to put her love for him into beautiful words and song, but she wasn't good at doing that. What she was good at was showing it through her actions, and through her eyes. Her eyes definitely reflected her feelings at that moment.

"...You take every breath I breathe away, ohhh," Roxas sang, eyes on the woman he cherished with all his heart. "Just wanna tell you, baby, how much I am feelin'... Just gotta tell you, baby, how much I am feelin'!" Roxas squeezed his eyes shut with the emotions that ran through him, but then he opened them to look at the person before him. "Just wanna tell you, baby, how much I am feelin' you." He strummed the last chord, and the meadow was filled with the sounds of nature. His first declaration of love was over, but there was more in store.

Even if Namine's words weren't so eloquent, she felt like she had to say something after a song like that. She couldn't not return his love somehow. "Roxas..." she tried, though she fell short of actually completing the sentence. There really weren't any words that were good enough to describe what Roxas's love meant to her.
