Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Roxas only smiled at the call of his name, his heart racing despite how soothing Naminé's voice was to his ears. He stepped over and set his guitar against a nearby rock, then holding his hand out to the woman he loved. Come here...

Namine abandoned her sketchbook and pencils as she lightly stood up on her feet. Roxas wasn't too far away from her, so it only took a few steps for her to reach him and slip her hand into his. He was being silent too for the moment, and she wasn't sure if he was waiting for a further response from her or if he said everything there was to say. She opened her mouth to try again, though she couldn't find words then either.

Roxas lifted his finger and pressed it gently to Naminé's lips. Even if she seemed speechless, he wanted to speak before he lost his nerve. "Shh," he gently shushed her, a weak smile on his lips, but then it slowly transformed into a nervous, lopsided grin. "...There's a lot I want to say. About you...about us."

"You already said a lot," Namine said with a weak smile. In today, in the meadow, in the song...So much was said, even if it wasn't all words. His actions expressed just as much as his words did, and she thought that she knew everything that he had to say. He was going to say that he loved her, and she was going to say the same to him. No words were truer than the "I love you"'s that she gave to Roxas.

Roxas chuckled weakly, lowering his gaze to his and Naminé's hands. "I know," he agreed softly. "But...if you can believe it, there's more. I guess...I can't say enough." Naminé always had him declaring his love, one way or another. This time, he would take a different route, one that expressed his feelings for Naminé in a more permanent way. Marriage.

Namine bit down on her lip, suppressing a gentle smile. I'll let you get on with it, then, she thought, squeezing Roxas's hand. Whatever he had to say, and no matter how much it made her blush, she'd let him say it. Somehow she had the impression that he would explode if he didn't get things off his chest. To think that she made him love her this much...To think that was the same exact love she felt for him...There was nothing greater than having love returned.

Roxas lifted his gaze back to Naminé, and upon seeing the look in her eyes, he gathered enough courage to voice his thoughts. "...Remember when we first met? I thought everything was right in the world, and so simple, but...then the Darkness came. Everything changed," he explained. "I started losing my way, and who I was, but then you showed up." He smiled warmly, squeezing her hand. "You helped me recover who I truly was, and where I was supposed to be. Naminé...you were my guiding light."

Already, in just a few sentences, Roxas successfully made Namine's blush return. She lifted her free hand to her scarf and held it up to her lips, as if that would somehow hide her shyness or the blush. But she held Roxas's gaze, something about it keeping her locked onto him. He was always sincere, but she had never seen him quite like this.

"I had to join Sora, just as you had to join Kairi, but the two of them didn't shape who we were. Not completely," Roxas continued softly. "I wanted to protect you from the Organization the second that guy in the black coat showed up in your room, even if it was Riku. And then when DiZ took you away, I was scared of losing you, even if we hadn't known each other long at all." He shook his head with a small smile. "It only took me a few days, despite all the chaos, to know that you were important to me. More important than anyone else I met in the short time I was alive as a Nobody."

Namine remembered it all clearly, and even if she didn't know Roxas's perspective before, she knew hers. She knew she liked Roxas before she even met him. She thought that he would be a lot like Sora, who she already met and admired. He was like him, but he also wasn't. In the end, she cared for Roxas because of who he was, not because of his connection to Sora. And that day, with DiZ and Riku...she hoped he would rescue her. She put a lot of faith in him from the get-go.

"...Through Sora and Kairi we eventually met again, and that was one of the happiest moments of my life," Roxas revealed, lifting his hand to tuck back some of Naminé's blonde hair. "After all that time, I finally found you again. As long as Sora and Kairi were together, we were too, but...then we became our own selves. Without Sora's influence, I still cared about you, and eventually came to love you. You taught me how to love, Nam. You gave me the ability to love, and for that I will always be grateful to you."

Namine's cheeks went from watermelon pink to cherry red. She didn't know what so say to any of that, not that she felt pressured to say anything at all. Roxas... All she could do was keeping thinking his name, and all the feelings that went along with it. Love, care, safety, fun, romance... There were a lot of feelings she associated with Roxas, and the main one was bliss. Bliss and unfailing love.

Roxas moved his hand to cup Naminé's warming cheek, his lips forming a soft smile. "...I love you more than anything," he declared. "You give me strength, and courage... I fight to defend you and come home to you. You are home. My heart belongs to you. I guess it always has." He swept his thumb gently across her cheek. "...Naminé, you're my oxygen, my gravity. I'm here because of you."

Namine's hand slowly lowered the scarf that was blocking her lips. Even if Roxas initially shushed her, she couldn't help but say one thing now. "Roxas..." She wanted to say all those words right back to him. Whenever she felt lost, he was there. He was stable when she wasn't, her home to come back to and find shelter in. Without him, she would have never survived everything life threw at her.

Roxas moved his hand to brush some of Naminé's hair back again, his heart growing warm at the way she said his name. "...I can't live without you, Nam," he declared quietly, only the crickets chirping and the fireflies dancing around them. "Things have been tough for both of us, but we've always overcome them together, and that's the way I want it to stay. You and me, forever."

"Me too," Namine agreed softly. It was like he was reading her mind. Both of them had a lot of challenges in life, and they were always heartbreaking, but by the end of the day, they were still together and still in love. She wanted to face every situation knowing that the two of them would always love and cherish each other.

"Good," Roxas said with a small nod. "Then there's something I need to ask you..." Roxas stepped away slightly, his fingertips trailing Naminé's palm as he released her. He summoned Oathkeeper to his hand, a Keyblade he found very fitting for this situation, and turned. He lifted the Keyblade into the air with his arm, casting a silent spell that illuminated various spots throughout the meadow, giving it a warm glow.

Namine turned in the direction of the lights, remaining silent even if she was confused. Roxas said he had to ask her something, but now he had his Keyblade out and was casting some spell to brighten the area. But then she realized that he wasn't just brightening things up. Words were being written in the air.

The lights around the meadow shot up and danced around the sky above Roxas and Naminé, coming together to form the question Roxas wanted to ask the most for the longest time. Even if the words were written out in Light, he wanted to voice the question himself. Roxas smiled and quietly sent his Keyblade away as the Light magic formed his question: Will you marry me?

Namine lifted her hands to her lips, eyes wide as she looked up at the words. Will you marry me? Even with the fluffy speech and the events of the day, she hadn't seen this coming. She choked back a laugh, moisture appearing in her eyes automatically. Roxas's speech took away her breath; She didn't even have a voice to answer with...

Roxas looked to Naminé, the two of them still facing each other. She practically glowed with the added light, but she was anyway, just because of what was happening here. And that made this that much easier. "Naminé," Roxas called gently, lowering to one knee as he pulled the small box from his pocket. It was time...

Namine's moist eyes landed on Roxas again, watching him intently as he got down on a knee and pulled out a small box. By now, she knew what would be in that box. He had it a little backwards, asking her the question and then showing her the ring. But all she could think was, Oh my gosh. Roxas is...proposing. Even if that was exactly what was going on, the words still took a moment to form in her mind. Roxas was asking for her to marry him.

"...You've made this Nobody a true Somebody," Roxas said, looking up at the moist eyes of the woman he loved. That he adored and would cherish forever. "And I don't ever want to lose that feeling. As long as I'm with you, and you're by my side forever, I know I'll see the Light in the deepest Darkness. So...Naminé..." Roxas opened the box to reveal a beautiful engagement ring, one he traveled worlds to find. "...Will you marry me?"

Namine saw the ring shine in the light of the words, and she saw Roxas's eyes glowing too. He had to know her answer. Even without words, he knew. She nodded behind her hands that were still to her lips, though she forced herself to say the words. "Yes," she said, vocie wavering because of the happy tears. "I will."

Roxas blinked at the words, that single one--"yes"--taking his breath away. He beamed instantly and took the ring out of the box, then holding out one of his hands to take Naminé's. She accepted his proposal... Naminé was going to be his wife.
