A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Roxas gazed at the beauty before him, feeling her fingertips graze his forehead. He blinked slowly at the feeling. "...You're my fiancée," he said softly, the words feeling foreign. But he liked the feeling all the same. "...We're getting married." They had to be the first Nobodies to ever do that.

Namine laughed, not in humor, but in happiness. "I can't wait," she whispered. "Wait till Kairi hears about this..." Her sister was going to freak out when she heard. And Sora too, if he had no clue that Roxas was planning to propose to her. And Riku and Lightning--they were going to be thrilled for them too.

Roxas grinned at the thought, but then he remembered the guy who was practically his brother. "Sora already knows," he admitted. Sora knew from the very beginning what he was planning on doing. Back when he was buying the flowers from Kenzi, and his actions were suspicious, Sora got him to spill. But that was before Valhalla happened. It felt like a lifetime ago.

"And knowing how he likes to talk, Kairi probably knows," Namine chuckled. She loved Sora very much, but he wasn't the best secret keeper, especially with big news like this. If he did blab to Kairi, then Kairi did a good job containing her excitement and keeping the secret. As it was, she was impressed Sora kept the secret.

Roxas shook his head, looking back up at the sky. "I made him promise not to tell a soul," he revealed. "That included Kairi. I want to see her face when you tell her." Roxas and Kairi had rough pasts concerning Naminé, because Roxas hurt her so many times. That was something he didn't like to think about, but he made up for it in the end. He believed he redeemed himself somewhere along the way; Naminé did accept his proposal after all.

Feeling the cell phone in her pocket, Namine felt inspired. "I feel like snapping a picture of the ring and sending it to her," she giggled. And Sora could record the reaction somehow. But what a humorous way to break the news to her best friend! She wouldn't see it coming.

Roxas pursed his lips, thinking about it. "I dunno," he said softly. "I mean, it's up to you. I'll just have to give Sora a heads up. He'll want to be prepared for that squeal." He chuckled lightly at the thought. Sora's eardrums would scream in protest to that loud of a noise, he was sure.

"Can you text him and tell him to record her reaction?" Namine asked as she began to sit up. For one thing, the idea had her too excited to lay down. But she also needed to get her phone out of her pocket if she was going to send Kairi a picture of the ring. This is gonna be great...

"You bet," Roxas replied as he reached into his pocket. He pulled out his phone and held it above him as he texted, still reclining on the ground. He sent a text to Sora to get ready for a high-pitched scream, and to record Kairi's reaction. But before sending, he decided to attach a picture to it. "Nam," he said, then sitting up as well. "Take a picture with me, for Sora."

"Okay," Namine said. Once she pulled her phone out of her pocket, she scooted closer to Roxas so he could snap the picture. She naturally smiled, for more reasons than one. She knew Kairi was home tonight, because she talked about how she and Sora were taking a date-night. This was too perfect.

Roxas lifted his phone and prepared for the shot. "Show off that ring," he told her with a crooked smile. He gave Naminé a few seconds to do that before he grinned at the phone and snapped the photo. After a second he pulled it back and viewed it, happy with the result. It was then that he sent his text to Sora, giddy for his friends' reactions.

Namine giggled, smiling at Roxas's joke. Now she just needed to send Kairi the text. "I'll wait a minute before texting Kairi," she said. That would give Sora the time to read the text and get his phone ready to record Kairi's reaction. Roxas was probably right before when he assumed Kairi would scream. 

Roxas nodded in approval before reclining once again, letting his hands cradle the back of his head. This night was perfect. The proposal went without a hitch, and the girl he loved said yes. He couldn't believe this... It was still so hard to grasp. He was going to get married!

Namine could hardly wait two minutes before she couldn't take it anymore. "Alright," she declared. "This is it." She held up her phone above her hand, fighting the trembling in her hands that came from excitement. The first picture she took was surprisingly decent, so she sent it along to Kairi for her to gush at. 

Kairi heard her phone chime, having recognized that Sora's did so just a second ago. It wasn't too late, so dinner was almost finished. Still sitting at the table, she grabbed her phone, unaware of the fact that her husband could be taping the entire thing. She saw it was a text from Naminé, and upon opening it, her heart stopped. "Oh...my...gosh," she muttered. A ring... A beautiful diamond ring! "Sora..."

Sora silently grinned, holding up his phone as he recorded Kairi's reaction. Obviously she just got a text from Namine, like Roxas said that she would. So far the reaction was pretty quiet, but he was prepared for Kairi to get loud as soon as it registered what that ring meant.

Naminé sent this text to Kairi, and it was on her ring finger. There was no need for a caption. She looked up at Sora with wide eyes, ignoring the fact that he was recording her. "...Roxas just...He proposed?" she asked in shock. No way... Sora would have told her! But as she looked at the picture again, she knew it was real. The ring was gorgeous, and its placement was so obvious. "Holy..." She took in a breath, but then she rose from her seat and started squealing uncontrollably as she practically hopped around the dining area. Roxas proposed!

Sora laughed, though he brought his free hand to his lips to cover the reaction. This recording was to get Kairi's reaction to the proposal, not Sora's reaction to Kairi's reaction. If he had more than two hands, he would have covered his ears for a moment there. She was so excited it was hard to keep her in the picture with how much she was moving around.

"Sora!" Kairi shrieked, looking at him from her place by the table. "Roxas proposed! Roxas and Naminé are getting married!" She squealed again, grinning happily. She couldn't believe this! Naminé and Roxas were engaged!

"Yeah, yeah they are!" Sora laughed. "Why don't you call Namine and share your excitement with her?" He imagined that Namine and Roxas were expecting Kairi to be too excited just to talk to Sora, and if they were expecting that call, they hopefully knew to keep the phones away from their ears.

Kairi was so distracted by the news that she didn't even think of calling Naminé. But that was about to change. She speed-dialed her and put her on speaker phone, waiting for the blonde fiancée to pick up.

 

Roxas lifted his head slightly when he heard Naminé's phone ring, and he smirked. "There she is," he stated. He expected Kairi to call as soon as she heard the news.

"Oh here we go," Namine laughed. This was going to be good. She picked up the call and held the phone far away from her ear, putting it on speaker before she gave Kairi a casual "hello". But this call was going to be anything but casual.

Roxas winced at the high pitched squeal on the other end of the line, but that was when he started to laugh. He knew this was going to be the result, hence his warning to Sora. Sorry, bro, he silently called. Poor Sora was probably suffering from deafness by this point.

Namine's laughter blended with Roxas's at the shriek. "What is it, Kai?" she barely managed through her laughter. "Is there a bug or something?" She could hardly play innocent, and hardly speak with how much she was giggling. This was definitely the kind of reaction that she was expecting from Kairi.

"Are you kidding?!" Kairi said into the phone. "You're engaged!" If only they could see her now; she was still light on her feet with excitement. "Roxas, you clever little sneak! I should have known this was coming!" She could usually sense this stuff, but not this time. He did a good job at hiding it.

 

"Thank your husband for helping me keep the secret," Roxas said, gazing at the phone Naminé held in her hand. It was hard to keep such a great secret, especially when it was so awesome. He and Naminé were finally engaged... It was surreal.
