Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku picked up a piece of bacon and bit into it, releasing a breath at how his mouth watered at the taste. The cooks here were fantastic. As he chewed, he looked to the woman he loved, who confessed she still loved him after all he put her through. "...Thank you," he said with a faint nod. Her hospitality wasn't necessary.

Light released a "hmph" at Riku's delight at the food and another hum around her mouth-full of food at his gratitude. It wasn't a big deal; it wasn't like she prepared the food. But he probably preferred this, because the cooks in this castle were much better than Lightning could hope to be. She was happy to just deliver the food and let him sleep for a few minutes longer.

"No...you don't get it," Riku said with a small shake of his head, forgetting the bacon in his hand. Lightning didn't understand, even if he was thanking her for the food. He was thanking her for saving him last night, saving everyone. And he was thanking her for trusting him to save her from the Darkness. It had been a nightmare, to even see her surrounded by it.

Light swallowed her food and looked over, her expression conveying her confusion. She guessed that she didn't understand, because she had no clue what Riku could be referring to other than food. His expression now was too serious and earnest to be referring to the food, even if it was amazing.

Riku looked away, down at the tray when he saw Lightning's expression. "I mean..." he tried, closing his eyes for a moment. "Thank you for yesterday. For saving us...and for trusting me." He helped her, when she could have shooed him away. She could have requested Kain instead of Riku.

"Oh..." Light felt her cheeks turn a bit pink as she lowered her gaze to the tray as well. "Don't mention it." It wasn't a big deal. She just did what was natural; she fought to protect the people that she loved, and Riku fought to protect her. She reached out to him from the Darkness naturally, because she had to trust Riku with her life no matter what state their relationship was in.

Riku smiled a little, opening his eyes to gaze at Lightning before he followed her request and let the conversation drop. He instead returned to the food, seeing that there were all kinds. Biscuits and gravy, pancakes, bacon, eggs... It was like a buffet. Whenever he went home, he would have to rub this in Sora's face.

Light looked back over at Riku and chuckled at his pleased expression. He looked like a child in a candy store. "Here," she said, picking up some food and holding it out on her fork for him to try. She got something unique on her plate and figured he could try some of her food.

Riku glanced from the fork to Lightning before leaning forward and taking a bite. He pulled back slightly and chewed, his eyebrows furrowing. But not because it was gross; because it was delicious. "What is that?" he asked around his food, then swallowing. Whatever she got, he wanted some.

"Some apple thing," Lightning shrugged. She was sure there was a formal name for it, but it was like an apple bread, or apple pastry, or something of the sort. She hadn't tried any of it yet, but it looked good enough to her when she went down to get food that she scooped some onto her plate.

"Sounds like you've never tried it," Riku said with a small smirk. He reached over and gently took the fork from Lightning. He got more of the "apple thing" on the fork and held it out for Lightning to taste this time. Feeding each other could be seen as a romantic gesture, and maybe it was, but Riku didn't want to read too much into it and get his hopes up. What if Lightning didn't want to get back together? What if she still wanted to try with Kain?

Light was amused by Riku's actions and humored him. She took the bite off the fork and enjoyed the apple food. It was delicious, as was everything else made in that kitchen. "...This would be amazing with whipped cream or syrup," she said, lifting her eyes to Riku. It was a shame she didn't get any for it while she was down there.

Riku nodded his agreement. While he held Lightning's fork, he went ahead and got into some of the eggs. "Where's the kitchen?" he asked before taking a bite. The pancakes needed syrup anyway. He would go get some.

"Same place it was a week ago," Light piped, being a wise-guy. Riku ate here a week ago; she knew that he did. After their argument, she made him promise that he would eat something and sleep before leaving the next day. If she found out he wasn't true to his word then, she was going to be ticked.

Riku glanced away a bit. "...Right," he said with a small nod. He carefully got out of bed and fetched his shirt on a nearby chair. He slipped it on before grabbing his shoes, forgetting about his bed-head for the moment. He wasn't too worried about it. After tugging on his sneaker, he looked over at Lightning. "Should I get seconds?" he asked, referring to the apple stuff. He had a feeling they would be eating that most.

Light opened her mouth to say that they could both just eat downstairs, but then she realized that eating in bed was much more appealing than that. "Seconds sound good," she said instead. "And water sounds good too." If Riku wanted to pick up a glass of water while he was down there, she'd appreciate it.

"You got it," Riku said with a small nod, smiling again. He just couldn't help it. He was finally on good terms with Lightning, or at least civil. That was better than yesterday, when she kissed... Riku stopped the thought and ran a hand through his hair, then leaving the room to get what they needed.

Light watched Riku leave the room, and once the tray and everything was off her lap, she sighed, closed her eyes, and leaned back more comfortably into the pillows. She assumed that they were a couple again after last night. He was wearing her necklace again for one thing, but he also slept in that bed with her. Those were two signs to her that Riku believed they were in a relationship again, at least, that was how she took it.

It didn't take long for Riku to find the kitchen; much like Sora, he found them easily no matter what place he was in. He grabbed another plate of the apple stuff, whatever it was, and grabbed some syrup and whipped cream. He ventured back upstairs and into the bedroom, finding Lightning in the same spot, though the tray was in a different position. He walked over and sat quietly on the bed, placing the items he had on the tray.

"You're awfully quiet," Light commented, looking over at Riku as he placed things on the tray. There was more of that apple stuff, and he thought to get syrup and whipped cream too. With critical eyes, she realized that he forgot to retrieve a glass of water. Well, she'd tease him about it as soon as he reasoned why he was so quiet this morning.

"I've always been quiet," Riku reasoned, not realizing that he had forgotten an item. It could easily be retrieved; teleportation was a lovely thing. He went ahead and took the already-bitten-into apple pastry and let Lightning have the new one. He proceeded to cover his in whipped cream.

"You're quieter than usual though," Light said, reaching for one of the pastries. "Is it guilt that you forgot the water?" She looked over and smirked at him, taking a bite out of the food. It was delicious, just as she expected it would be. Just like teasing Riku would be.

Riku froze, holding the whipped cream over his pastry still. Thankfully he stopped putting pressure on the trigger, or else the thing would have been overloaded. Smooth move, he scolded himself, sighing as he closed his eyes. "Sorry," he said with a sigh. He opened his eyes and put his stuff aside, moving off the bed. "I'll be back."

  • Author

"Relax," Light said with a soft smile. "It's okay." I just won't have anything to wash down this delicious food, she thought of saying, though she stopped herself. She wasn't sure if Riku was seriously upset that he forgot the water or not, so she'd wait to make jokes until she knew where he stood.

Riku looked over at Lightning, shaking his head. "We'll need some anyway," he said, rising to his feet. "Besides, it'll only take a second." He closed his eyes briefly before focusing on his Dark Powers, then teleporting away from the bedroom in the blink of an eye. He found himself in the kitchen, though he did startle the cooks with his arrival. He smiled sheepishly as he grabbed two glasses of water before fleeing from the room via teleportation. Riku returned to the bedroom with the glasses in his hands, his eyes finding Lightning instantly. Told you it would take a second.
