A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

While Lightning lingered back a few steps (because of her confusion), Namine remained mostly unaware of the tension. She figured that since Lightning and Riku were here together, things were better between them. She approached her brother figure happily, giving him a hello as well as a hug. "Welcome home," she said with a soft smile.

Riku returned Naminé's embrace. "Thanks," he replied with the same faint smile from before. He caught Kairi rising from her seat to come over as well, with Sora in tow. Roxas was already saying hello to Lightning.

After Namine let go of Riku and went to say hello to Lightning and ask how Serah was doing and all that, Sora approached his best friend and gave him a man hug and a cheesy smile in greeting. He didn't dare tease him about Lightning though, because he couldn't even tell if they were a couple or not. Besides, Kairi would kill him if he hurt Riku's feelings somehow.

"You didn't eat the whole menu, did you?" Riku asked, releasing Sora. Just as he did, Kairi hugged her brother from the side. He wrapped one arm around her shoulders, squeezing her gently. She giggled at his joke in the meantime. Now that she and Sora were married and had a budget, eating out was a special thing.

"I would if the wife let me," Sora smirked at the woman he married lovingly. It wasn't that he was starving or anything now that they had a stricter budget; he just missed pigging out like he used to do and playing video games whenever he pleased. Oh well, the sacrifices were well worth it.

Kairi stepped away from Riku, running her fingertips over Sora's arm as she passed to say hello to Lightning. She greeted the woman with a hug, the norm for her, and asked her how her vacation went. She would let Sora and Riku catch up; Riku had been distant the last few weeks, with good reason.

Lighting responded to Kairi's inquiry about her vacation, not hesitating even though the term was incorrect. It wasn't a vacation by any means, it was just...time away from home. She hoped that she didn't miss too much here or on Cocoon. Something caught her eye in the sun, and her eyes wandered down to the source. A ring on Namine's left hand. She looked up at the blonde and caught her eye, her confusion turning to revelation. Namine's...

Roxas was standing next to Sora and Riku while they talked, though his eyes rarely left Naminé. He had a hard time being away from her ever since the proposal. Of course, that had always been the cause, but it increased tenfold when she let him slide that ring on her finger. The ring Lightning just noticed. Roxas couldn't help but grin, something that stopped Riku mid-sentence. Maybe we should tell them now...

Lightning looked over at Roxas while Namine caught onto Light's realization and giggled, and though Lightning and Roxas had some trouble in the past, she smirked at him in silent congratulations. He screwed up big enough for her to slap him, but all in all, he really wasn't a bad guy. She approved of Namine's choice, just as long as Roxas didn't hurt her like he did before. Since Namine had so many people watching out for her, she doubted it would happen.

Riku, for once, wasn't the observant one. He had a lot on his mind to distract him. He looked from Roxas to Naminé, and then Lightning to see her smirk. "...What's going on?" he asked lowly, eyebrows furrowing. He didn't understand what was happening.

"Uh-hum, well..." Namine laughed sheepishly, subconsciously putting her hands behind her back as she approached Riku. She guessed now was the best time to tell him, since Lightning already noticed on her own. "I sort of got, um..." She smiled slightly, holding out her left hand for Riku to see her engagement ring.

Riku's eyes immediately darted from Naminé's smile to the jewelry on her finger. A ring... A ring?! "...No way," he said in disbelief, taking Naminé's hand and inspecting the ring further, as if it might disappear. Roxas and Naminé got engaged? Roxas proposed?

 

Roxas nodded from his spot, grinning with pride. "Yes way," he replied. He and Naminé were engaged. They had been for...how long now? It was hard to count. Each day blurred together. Sometimes Roxas thought he was dreaming. It was too good to be true.

Namine giggled at both reactions to the situation; Riku's confused and disbelieving one and Roxas's giddy response. "Way," she agreed, allowing Riku to inspect the ring. It was a nice one, and she was proud of Roxas for picking it out all by himself. He had good taste in rings, and proposal methods.

Riku looked from the ring to Naminé, and he couldn't help but smile. He was happy for both of his friends. "Congratulations," he said, looking from the bride-to-be to Roxas. "About time." He was wondering when that was going to happen, though he hadn't thought about it lately; he had his own life to deal with.

"You're calmer than Kairi was when she found out," Namine laughed, looking to her sister in the memory. The phone call had been hilarious enough, but once she watched the video Sora recorded, it had become even more hysterical. But of course Riku was calm; he always was.

"A lot of screaming and jumping around?" Riku guessed, releasing Naminé's hand to cross his arms over his chest. He imagined it had something to do with that. Kairi was always a fan of weddings.

 

Kairi giggled sheepishly, clasping her hands behind her back. "...Guilty," she said, blushing. She couldn't help it! She just loved weddings! And these were her two best friends! She had been waiting for them to get this far for so long.

Sora pulled his cellphone out of his pocket and handed it over to Riku once he had the video up. "I recorded her reaction until she realized I was recording her," he smirked. "Take a look. You too, Light." The young woman moved over closer to Riku so that she could watch it over his shoulder and see just how excited Kairi got. 

Riku pulled up the video and watched with intrigued eyes. Sora started recording just as Kairi's phone chimed. He observed her staring at the screen for a moment in shock and questioning Sora, but he blinked when she started screaming and jumping around. He found himself laughing, though he silenced himself when she called Roxas and Naminé. Luckily he could hear both sides of the conversation, since Kairi put it on speakerphone. Where was he when this happened? With Lightning?

Lightning had also chuckled at Kairi's enthusiastic reaction, silenced herself during the phone call with Namine, and then starting laughing again when Kairi realized that she was being recorded and she chased Sora around for the phone to see just how much he recorded. All four people in this scenario were so energetic and amusing, and watching this, she realized she missed them.

Sora's panicked voice got cut off when the recording finished, and Riku smirked before handing the phone back to his best friend. "Where was I during all this?" he asked lowly. He was quite curious as to when this happened as well. Was it just yesterday?

Since Sora obviously didn't know how to answer, Namine kindly told Riku the truth of the matter. "It happened nearly a month ago, so...I don't know where you were then." Maybe he was on Cocoon since that planet was like another home to him, or maybe he was looking for Lightning. Riku was hard to keep track of these days.

Riku blinked at the response. "...You kept it a secret for that long?" he asked. Apparently he was the only one other than Lightning who was out of the loop. But...why didn't they tell him? That would have been around the first week Lightning was gone, so he hadn't been too worried around that time.

"Well...We didn't really see you, and when we did..." Namine trailed off, leaving the rest for Riku to figure out. He was having a hard time while Roxas and Namine were full of joy. It hadn't been easy to see him like that and not share their happiness with him, but the timing just hadn't been right.

Riku caught on quickly to what Naminé meant, and he glanced at his friends to see similar expressions. "Oh..." He lifted a hand and ran it over his silver hair. "Well, no big deal. Good for you guys, though. I was afraid Roxas would never get the guts."

 

"Hey!" Roxas cried, eyes wide. "That took some careful planning, okay?" It took a long time, but it was worth it.

"You try doing a proposal sometime," Sora smirked at his best friend. "It's harder than you think." He spent a lot of time considering how to propose to Kairi, and Roxas likewise took his time with Namine. He did hope to see Riku engaged sometime in the near future, and to Lightning.
