A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Riku was caught off guard with the direction the topic took, and he couldn't help but smile nervously. "...Right," he said with a small nod. Proposing... For some reason, he felt like that was a long way off. Especially after what happened most recently.

"We're lucky, Kai," Namine said to her sister. "We didn't have to stress about any of this!" All she had to do was show up for her date with Roxas and go through everything he had planned. She was grateful to be the girl in his scenario, and in most scenarios in life, since she loved dolling herself up and wearing cute dresses.

Kairi nodded in agreement. "Best birthday ever," she said, lightly bumping Sora's shoulder with hers. He was sweet enough to surprise her for her birthday, and then proposed to her on top of it! It was one of her most favorite memories.

Sora gave Kairi a look. "It wasn't my birthday," he said as he played dumb. But of course he knew that he proposed to Kairi right on her eighteenth birthday; that had been the point of everything. He wasn't able to wait a day longer to propose to her, so he did it the very day she became an adult.

Riku rolled his eyes as Kairi lightly punched Sora in the arm. Talk of proposals...actually made Riku sad. He always wanted to propose to Lightning, but now he didn't know where their future lied. Was it together, or apart?

Light and Riku stuck around for a little bit with his friends, but then he said that they had to go, and they'd be going back to his house for a brief bit before they left again. The way that everyone said goodbye to Riku made it seem like he was leaving and not coming back soon, which confused her. What confused her even more was that when they arrived at his home, he went back towards the bedroom immediately.

As Riku walked toward the bedroom, Jazz ran out from it and nearly collided with him. "Easy," he said with a faint smile. She didn't really pay attention to him, instead approaching the woman who joined Riku in what used to be Lightning's condo. Jazz hadn't seen her in a long time either. Good enough distraction for Riku to get his things.

Probably just getting changed, Lightning thought of Riku, dismissing her confusion in favor of the dog. She got down and scratched Jazz lovingly behind the ears, receiving a kiss or two for her actions. Here was another person that she missed. When she finally settled down, she wanted at least one dog in her household.

Riku busied himself stuffing a duffle bag full of clothes that he'd need for at least the next few weeks. If there were any clothes that he didn't have, Kain would find something that would do well enough. But that was the thing that Lightning didn't know: Riku was going to stay with her in the castle. After all this time, he couldn't be without her. And he doubted she would do much better without him.

Light got down onto her back and let the dog stand over her as she gave Jazz a belly-rub. It was unusual to see a soldier like her in such a lowly position, but she had a soft spot for Jazzy and was willing to show it, especially since she didn't know when she would see the pet again.

Riku stepped out of the bedroom with the duffle bag over his shoulder, stopping once he saw what Lightning was doing. "Don't get too attached," he said then, smirking. "She's going to my parents'." He still needed to give them the money they would need to take care of her for a little while.

Light looked up towards Riku, giving an "umph" when Jasmine stepped on her stomach in her rush to get to her master. She sat up and looked over at him, utter confusion on her expression. "Why does she need to go to your parents?" she asked then. Why did it make a difference where Jasmine was going, since Lightning was leaving? Then her eyes landed on the dufflebag over Riku's shoulder and her mouth ran dry. Riku packed things...his things.

Riku lowered his hand and scratched the top of Jazz's head, who sat down beside him. His smirk remained at Lightning's question, and expression. "Because I'm going with you," he declared. He wasn't going to lose Lightning again.

Though Riku was smirking, Lightning's expression showed no amusement. She was both surprised and horrified. "I can't let you do that for me," she said, shaking her head as she slowly rose to her feet. Riku just got home to his friends, and he was so happy to be here! She couldn't drag him away from the place and people he loved.

"Nobody's letting me do anything," Riku said, starting forward with Jazz hot on his tail. "I'm doing it because I want to." He saw Lightning's face when she was requested to stay. It wasn't good, and to help with that, Riku decided to go back to the castle with her. It was Riku's choice.

Lightning kept her eyes on Riku as he approached, ignoring the excited pooch behind him. "But..." she said, voice dry. He was still doing this because of her, and most likely for her sake. She caused him enough stress over the past few weeks, and now she wished he would just stay home and relax with his friends for a bit.

Riku stopped in front of Lightning and lifted a hand to cup her face. "But nothing," he said with a small shake of his head. "I'm with you...okay?" He wasn't going anywhere. He made that mistake once. He wasn't going to do it again. She had to have realized that.

Light lowered her gaze to the hand on her cheek, feeling the warmth beneath it. Riku's tone said that he couldn't be swayed to take other action, not even for a second. He was as sure as she was about helping Kain. She was going for Kain's sake, and he was going for hers. She lifted a hand and set it on his, shutting her eyes briefly. "...Thank you."

Riku smiled faintly, his eyes resting on Lightning's face as he took in the feeling of her hand over his. He longed to touch her in ways like this for a long time. They hadn't really had any physical contact except for the Heartless attack and the ride here on his Glider. It was kind of sad, really.

Lightning opened her eyes and gazed up at Riku. "This won't be for nothing, I promise," she assured him quietly. They weren't going to Kain's world without purpose. She was going to do the best she could to help him thoroughly and quickly so that both of them could come home together and stay there for a long time.

"I know," Riku replied, running his thumb over Lightning's skin briefly. He trusted her judgment with this situation, and while she didn't ask for him to come along, he wanted to be sure she was safe. Conspiracies were dangerous, from what he remembered from movies and school. He wasn't taking a chance at leaving Lightning alone, even if Kain could protect her.

"Soon we'll be home to stay," Light said, slowly lowering her hand from Riku's on her cheek. Wherever they decided to call home, they were going to be there together and they were going to be happy for once. No more of this grief nonsense tearing them down or the past nipping at their heels. It was time to move on.

Riku nodded slightly before letting his hand fall from Lightning's cheek. He wasn't sure what home she was talking about, Cocoon for her and the Islands for Riku, or one for both of them. They would have to see how things went. But standing here now, Riku had to fight urges. Affection... Riku had to fight affection.

Lightning was disappointed when Riku's hand fell from her cheek. She didn't want him to stop showing that he cared or to stop showing her tenderness. This whole situation...was so frustrating. She scoffed and suddenly took a step forward, closing the gap between her and Riku as she put a hand on the back of his neck and pulled him in for a kiss.

Riku's body tensed when Lightning came closer, but his eyes naturally closed at the kiss. He hadn't expected her to initiate such a thing. Just the day before she was kissing Kain... Riku dropped the thought along with his bag, the strap sliding down his arm until the duffel hit the floor. Riku brought one hand up to cup Lightning's face, the other grasping her waist as he kissed her back.
