Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Just do it, Riku!" Lightning manged to gasp, the spell looser than the other one. She knew that this was difficult and that he didn't want to hurt her, but the paralysis spells were hurting her worse than his Darkness ever could! Besides, the men outside had no compassion for Riku's plea; the paralysis spell was still active.

Riku didn't hesitate, even if he wanted to. Lightning's plea was enough for him. He lifted his other hand to the side of Lightning's head, channeling his Darkness to the surface. Purple and black swirls licked at his skin and circled his hands as he forced it upon Lightning, knowing it would hurt her. He never wanted to use his Darkness against her...but he wasn't given a choice. He concentrated on Lightning through his efforts to fight it, eyes hard as he looked at her. I'm sorry...

Lightning was finally able to breathe again, though she did wince at the cold flames. They weren't burning her skin that much, they were just uncomfortable for now. She peeked her eyes open and looked at Riku, seeing his eyes full of remorse. "That's a relief," she said to him, keeping her eyes locked onto his. "Thanks." This was better than suffocation by far.

"Stop it," Riku whispered, voice pained. He understood that Lightning was feeling better without the paralysis, but...this wasn't a good substitute. In fact, it seemed like Riku was in more pain than she was because of this. His eyes stayed locked on hers through it all, afraid that the two outside the cell would demand more of him. Lightning couldn't handle too much....

"It's not so bad now," Lightning whispered, though she began to feel her weakness to Darkness acting up. She shut her eyes to hide that weakness, one of her hands resting on Riku's shoulder. "I promise." It was okay...Maybe she could just get away with playing this up in front of them so that they'd think she was being tortured when it really wasn't that bad. As reading her thoughts, Caleb spoke up.

"That's pathetic, Keyblade wielder," Caleb scolded. "Use more power. And keep both hands on her head. We want her disoriented." She was clearly intelligent, and if she had the brains to get them out of the situation and RIku had the brawn, Caleb and his brother were going to be severely outmatched.

Riku closed his eyes in disgust, but he listened to Caleb. It wasn't like he had a choice. He either did this, or Lightning died. He ground his teeth together as the Darkness grew stronger, no longer surrounding his hands; it licked at his arms too. Riku opened his eyes to look at Lightning, unaware of the fact that their hue was changing to that of amber. He hadn't used this much Darkness, in this much focus, for a long time.

Lightning winced again, tightening her grasp on Riku's shoulder. Alright, this was painful. I can't deal with this for long, she thought to herself. I need to think of a way out of this. But Caleb's words echoed in her ears. He wanted her disoriented, and that was what was starting to happen. Aside from the weakness, she could hardly form a coherent thought in her head. The Darkness was beginning to affect her more and it was starting to scare her.

"I'm sorry," Riku said pathetically, fighting the urge to stop. He couldn't, or Lightning would die. But this torture... It wasn't any better. "I'm so sorry." One of Riku's worst nightmares was becoming reality. He didn't want to do this... Never in a million years. But now... Riku gritted his teeth, closing his eyes painfully.

Lightning opened her eyes and looked at Riku, her blue eyes weak. "It's okay," she said, slowly lifting one of her hands to his cheeks. She stroked it lightly, her eyes following the motion. "It's okay. You just...think for the two of us, okay?" She couldn't think like this. She could hardly even form a coherent sentence. Everything was blurring but she knew she wouldn't pass out. This was only messing with her mental awareness, not her physical consciousness.

Riku opened his amber eyes, gazing at the woman he loved. He took in the feeling of her hand on his cheek, but not enough to distract him from what he was doing. If he faltered, even a little bit, Lightning would pay the price. "Light..." he said weakly. She had a lot of Darkness affecting her right now. The outcome wasn't going to be good. Not in the least. Just the knowledge had Riku fighting tears, a sight not fitting for someone with eyes of Darkness.

"You be strong for both of us," Lightning requested, her eyes flickering shut. She couldn't hold her hand up against Riku's cheek any longer, so it fell and went lax on his shoulder. She was so, so tired...She couldn't even remember why Riku was doing this to her in the first place. Why? Why was he causing her so much pain? Why was he so close to crying...?

Stefan couldn't hold back a triumphant smile. What a nice thing to see... A Keyblader of Light undergoing pain, and causing it to his own lover! This was a great plan. He gave his brother props for coming up with this so quickly; this was better torture than he ever imagined.

Riku shook his head a little, his hold on Lightning secure despite her lack of energy. What, was this going to make her pass out? The sooner that happened, the better; she would suffer much less if she went unconscious. But...how could he be strong for both of them now? They were both vulnerable.

Lightning mumbled incoherent words under her breath, something about not feeling good. She fell forward slightly and found herself leaning against somebody's warm chest, her eyes shut so she didn't even see who it was. The warmth of their body sharply contrasted the cold hands on her face. She was really feeling ill...

Riku turned his head, his hands remaining on the sides of Lightning's head as he glared at the two brothers outside the cell. "Is this enough for you yet?" he practically growled, amber eyes sharp with hatred. Whatever was happening to Lightning, it wasn't good. They got their laugh. This needed to end.

While the brothers outside chuckled and shook their heads for Riku to continue, Lightning was oblivious. All she could feel was the warmth, coldness, and the swimming of her head. "Why...?" she asked weakly, the remainder of the question going unsaid. Why was she feeling so awful? Who was doing this to her? Where was she...?

Riku snarled much like a beast of Darkness at the two outside the cell, but Lightning's lingering question had him looking down at her. His eyes went from their hard state to that of sorrow, and he closed them. "...I'm so sorry," he apologized lowly. He hated this. He hated it.

"Where...am I?" Lightning asked slowly, her position remaining the same. She couldn't think straight; she couldn't figure out where she was or why she was in such confusion. She felt like a scared little child and all she wanted was for the pain to go away.

Riku tensed in horror at the question. He was erasing Lightning's memory? Oh no, he thought with dread, eyebrows furrowing as he ground his teeth together. "Shh," he shushed her quietly. It was going to be over soon, or so he hoped. He just wanted this to be over!

"It hurts," Lightning mumbled into Riku's chest. She couldn't even hold herself up against him. It was fortunate that even if he was holding her head, his body was strong enough on its own to keep her upright against him. Suddenly a memory flashed before her closed eyes. "This is...Kain's castle...Where's Kain...?"

Riku was tense before, but the mention of Kain had him stiffening more. "...Shh," he said again, not knowing how else to respond. He highly doubted Kain was out of the loop here; he surely noticed Lightning was gone and was probably frantic. Right now, Riku couldn't help her; he could only hurt her. Kain would have to be the savior in this case.

"Kain..." Lightning said one last time, though the memory of his name disappeared from her mind as soon as it left her lips. She would have vocalized more of her questions, because she was so clueless, but she was so, so hopelessly tired. She leaned into Riku's form further, her body limp with weakness. Make it stop...somebody make it stop... "...Ri...ku..."

Riku squeezed his eyes shut tighter, a tear escaping against his will. It trickled down his cheek as he kept the Darkness going, but it wasn't at its full strength. But Stefan and Caleb didn't need to know that. The less they knew, the better. But that wasn't the same case for Lightning. The less she knew, the worse things would become. And Riku was the cause.

Minutes passed in nearly silent agony. Lightning was so disoriented and exhausted that she didn't know where to begin with her questions. And even when she tried to think of a question, it was never complete in her mind, let alone in her words. Every once in a while she would mumble something under her breath that even she didn't understand, but then again, there wasn't a thing she understood anymore.

Kain followed the sense of Darkness and found the jail cells. He had wisely used the passage-ways to get there, and as soon as he saw the situation, he lashed out. He broke through the door and viciously attacked the two brothers with his weapon, swinging it hard enough at them that they were flung towards the other exit. He was furious. "Enough!" he boomed at Riku. "It's over!" Whatever this was, it was over!

Riku glanced over at Kain, but he didn't flinch at his tone. Instead, he worked on willing the Darkness away. "...You're too late," he declared in agony. The damage was already done... Damage he caused. Lightning was...he didn't know what, but it wasn't good.

Kain watched the cowards run away, deciding to allow them an opportunity to flee. He yanked the prison door open and ran into the cell, kneeling down next to Riku and Lightning. "Lightning?" he asked quietly, speaking to the woman he cared for in a gentle tone. "Are you alright?"

Finally, there was a question directed at her. Or so she thought. Either way... "Who's...Lightning?" she mumbled tiredly. That simple response made Kain's eyes widen drastically.
