Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Don't look so sad," Light pleaded, eyes threatening to fall shut at Riku's gentle movement. Whatever had him so sad was unimportant. She figured it was because the villains got to her tonight and took part of her memory, but there were worse things than losing a few hours of her memory.

Riku smiled weakly. "Sorry," he whispered. He wasn't trying to be so vulnerable, but he didn't really care anymore. All he wanted was to make sure Lightning was okay again. Did she remember what he did? Would she forgive him for it? Those were important questions that needed answers.

Claire lifted a hand and set it atop Riku's head, her fingers weaving partially into his hair. "If we need to stay up and talk a little bit, I can..." she offered quietly. Whatever was distressing him, she wanted to take it away so that he would feel better. She didn't think she could peacefully sleep knowing Riku was this upset.

Riku shook his head a little, but not enough to disrupt Lightning's hand in his hair. "It's okay," he said softly. "We'll talk in the morning." He leaned toward her and pressed a kiss to her forehead. She needed to get some sleep before they talked about anything. It would be a mess otherwise.

Lightning could tell that Riku meant it, at least in the aspect that he wanted her to sleep. She exhaled a quiet breath from her lips and slowly shut her eyes, allowing her hand to remain on top of Riku's silver hair. Tomorrow, then, she silently thought. Tomorrow they'd sort this out.

Riku pulled back from the small kiss and gazed at Lightning for a moment. She needed her sleep, so he would leave her to it. He lightly grasped her hand and set it on the mattress so he could rise to his feet. He wouldn't leave, not again. Instead, Riku would stay by her side as long as she needed him, despite his fears.

The next morning, Lightning woke up and she was alone in the bed. She was groggy enough that she didn't notice Riku in the other side of the room at a small table, two plates of breakfast food sitting on the table along with drinks. She slowly sat herself up in the bed and looked towards the balcony and all the sunlight that poured into the room. It must have been mid-morning by now.

Riku was already starting into his food, sitting at the table on the opposite end of the room. When he caught movement out of the corner of his eye, he turned his head to see the woman he loved finally awake. "Good morning," he called gently. She had been out for some time, which was good. She needed it.

Lightning turned over onto her other side to look at Riku, one of her arms propping her up. "Morning," she mumbled softly, still tired. Riku looked like he had been awake for a while, and obviously he went downstairs too, since there was a smorgasbord of food in front of him. Had he expected her to wake up, or had he gotten all that for himself?

Despite Riku's worries, he couldn't help but smile at Lightning's grogginess. "Hungry?" he asked then. She had to be. Dinner was a long time ago, way before the ball last night. She had to be starving, much like he was. Hence all the food.

Lightning hummed a "yes" tiredly, though she didn't get out of bed for the food. She instead collapsed back into the bed, pulling up the blankets as she snuggled into the pillow. She was hungry, yes, but she was also both tired and lazy. Getting food downstairs was out of the question, but she even questioned whether it was worth it to walk halfway across the room to get it.

Riku's smile softened, as did his eyes as he gazed at the young woman who couldn't get out of bed. He rose from his seat, his food forgotten as he grabbed the tray meant for Lightning and started toward the bed. He stopped next to her, tilting his head to the side. "Sit up, sleeping beauty," he said softly. He would hand off her tray so she could eat in bed.

Light mumbled her resistance tiredly, her hand first finding Riku's hair before she lowered it to the tray for a food she could grasp with her hand. She found it and brought it up to her lips, chewing the food with an expression that showed some triumph and silliness along with her obvious grogginess. She didn't need to sit up to eat.

Riku chuckled softly, surprised that he could be so lighthearted after last night. But then again, he was with his Light. She brought out the good in him, even when he used the bad against her. "I'm not gonna stay like this all morning," he told her softly. "Scoot over and I'll put it on the bed for you."

"Mm-mm," Lightning hummed, shaking her head against the pillow. She was going to be difficult and keep Riku right there, even if it was just for a little bit. Besides, he was smiling this morning...It was nice to see him not looking so sad like he did last night. And it was nice to be more energetic than she was last night so she could encourage that smile.

Riku sighed and hung his head, eyes closing. Fine, he would stay here for a little bit, but his food was getting cold. And he brought a buffet. He needed to eat to fuel his body, especially when he felt he would be experiencing a lot today. He was actually surprised Kain hadn't come by yet. Riku was sure that would be soon, though. Kain couldn't stay away from Lightning for long, much to Riku's chagrin.

Light had compassion on Riku and began to sit up in bed. She gently took the tray out of his hands and set it in her own lap instead so that he could be free to get back to his own food. Hers was still warm, so she assumed that he wanted to get back to his before it chilled.

Riku rose to his feet and leaned forward, placing a kiss to Lightning's pink hair before venturing back to the table. He sat down and got to his breakfast, reminding himself that he would need to rub this kind of food in Sora's face when he got back home. If he got back home. He didn't think he would be returning to the Islands anytime soon.

Light quietly ate the food on her plate, not finding the silence between her and Riku anything that she needed to break. She didn't know what to say, anyway. Even with sleep, she didn't recall any of the memories that she lost last night. It was alright though--maybe some things were better off forgotten.

Riku finished up his food quickly for how much he ate, and he left his tray on the table to join Lightning on the bed. He crawled in next to her and laid down, sighing as he put his hands on his flat stomach. Good thing he had the Keyblade, or else he'd be really out of shape.

Lightning set her tray on the end-table beside the bed, even if she did have a few food items left. She laid back down and curled up against Riku's side after ducking her head under one of his arms, listening to his heartbeat as her head was against his chest. She liked mornings like this where they could take their time getting ready and just lay in bed for a little while.

Riku looked down at Lightning, moving his arm so his hand rested against her shoulder. "...You feeling okay today?" he asked softly, lifting his eyes to the ceiling. She seemed a lot better after a good night's rest. But it wasn't exactly a good night. Not from Riku could remember at least.

"Yeah," Light said quietly, remaining where she was. "I feel fine, except..." She trailed off briefly, but since she knew Riku would force it out of her eventually, she just came out and said it. "There's a blank part of my memory. I don't remember anything from the start of the ball up to when I was with the castle healer." Whatever happened with the villains was gone from her mind, as if it had never been there.

Riku closed his eyes at the news, not sure how he felt about it. True, Lightning was blind to what occurred, but...she missed vital information. Like the brothers, and all they wanted. And then there was Riku's Darkness... Riku felt his skin crawl at the reminder, the images appearing in his mind and causing him to tense.

Light felt Riku tense, and she assumed he wasn't happy she lost part of her memory. "Sorry," she added automatically. "I know we promised to dance with each other, but I don't remember that dance." She was sad too, because dances with Riku were really rare. Someday she hoped to make up for that dance that was gone from her memory.
