Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning felt the cold flaming hands leave her face, Caleb jumping out of the way to avoid the attack from Riku. The fireballs crashed down at her feet, not injuring her--thank goodness. She breathed a brief sigh of relief, opening her weary eyes to look at Riku. Thanks.

Riku's hard eyes met Lightning's, and he easily interpreted her message. He would always protect her; she had to have known that. If Caleb went for her again, Riku would pull the same stunt. He still had his magic. They couldn't take that away from him.

Lightning witnessed Caleb take a step in front of her again, though his back was to her, as he ordered Stefan to take care of Riku. He wanted an easy way to torture Lightning, but he wasn't going to get it. She tore through the few tendrils that wrapped around her legs, lifting them up high as she wrapped them tightly around Caleb's neck. You're going down.

Stefan had taken a few steps toward Riku, but that was when he saw Lightning's movement. His eyes widened, then hardened. "You little--"

Riku fired off another fireball at Stefan with a grunt, seeing that Lightning had the upper hand on Caleb. Stefan fell with a wince, but Riku knew that wasn't good enough. "Force," he muttered, seeing a dark orb of gravity come down on the brother. It kept him pinned to the floor, buying Lightning some time.

Lightning tightened her legs, and finally, she got the leverage she needed. She heard the snap and felt it against her legs, the body going limp. It was dead weight--literally. The tendrils loosen on her arms, only then realizing that they had cut through her skin fairly deeply when she was trying to use them to hold both herself and Caleb. Now wasn't a time to worry about that though; now they could finish this quickly.

Stefan heard the snap, and when he looked over, he saw his brother's lifeless body crumble to the floor. "Brother!" he screamed in horror. That witch! She just killed... She just...

"We need to end this," Riku said, trying to hold his gravity spell for as long as possible. "Now." The Darkness wasn't as powerful, but he was still bound. They had to defeat Stefan in order for it to go away.

When Caleb died, the Dark energy in the room was halved. Kain tore his arms out of the weakened tendrils of Darkness, landing on the ground with a grunt. Kain walked over to the body on the ground automatically, summoning his weapon to his hand. He wordlessly stood above Stefan before stabbing him directly in the heart, ending his struggle immediately. Finally, the monsters were tamed, and the Darkness was fading away. It's over.

Riku fell from the wall once the Darkness began to fade, landing on one knee and seeing the carpet return as the Darkness fled. He rose to his feet, eyes darting from one dead brother to the other. Both gone for good, and so was this problem. Kain didn't have to marry Evelyn, but he would have to explain the mess.

Kain looked over to his two best friends, seeing them already kneeling on the ground and inspecting each other. Riku wasn't so quick to get to Lightning since she was further away. Kain looked at her at the thought, eyes widening slightly at her. "Lightning," he said lowly, voice weaker than usual. "Your arms..." There were obviously other wounds on her body from when she froze time and fought on her own, but he saw that where there were lines of tendrils before, now there were gashes that were oozing blood.

Riku's eyes found Lightning just after Kain said her name, and her wounds had his eyes softening in worry. "Light..." he said softly, then moving quickly to her side. He hesitated touching her because of her many wounds, not sure what to do. He had enough magic for a Cure spell. He could help her.

Lightning looked over at Riku, seeing his worried eyes. "I'm alright," she assured him, voice soft with him. "I'm okay, see?" She put on a weak smile, ignoring the tickling of the dripping blood going down her arms, hands, and then down her fingertips before dropping to the ground. She was in a lot of pain and very weak; in fact, she didn't feel like standing on her feet for another second. But Rosa was in bad shape too.

Riku gave Lightning a stern look despite her smile, something he loved to see. But he knew it was fake. She always said no masks, and yet that was exactly what she was doing. He wordlessly grabbed her bloody hands and called to a silent but strong Cure spell. The blood could be cleaned up soon, but the wounds needed to be closed.

Light winced when Riku grabbed her hands, but that was her only sign of pain. Her eyes flickered shut at the warm sensation of healing, her cuts starting to close with the spell. She felt bad somebody else didn't get this kind of relief, but she was thankful nonetheless for Riku's silent insisting.

When Riku felt the Cure spell finishing up, he opened his eyes to look at the woman he loved. He was glad she was alive; he nearly lost her multiple times. But...he wasn't the only one to almost lose someone important. He turned his head to look toward the King and Queen. Cecil was holding Rosa's face in his hands, giving her words of reassurance. She clearly needed to be healed. Riku could help with that if they let him, but they had no idea who he was. They didn't even know he was in the castle all this time.

Light opened her eyes after a few moments, following Riku's gaze to Rosa and Cecil. Just from knowing him so well, she could tell what he was thinking. "Go on," she said softly. If he had any magic left, then he should give it to Rosa. Lightning wasn't completely healed yet, but she'd survive.

Riku looked over at Lightning at her insistence, and he nodded to her as he slowly released her hands. He walked over to the King and Queen, and upon them noticing him, he bowed slightly, asking if he could offer his help. Cecil accepted immediately and Riku knelt down next to Rosa, wiping his hands on his pants to get some of the blood off before he touched her. He then took her hands and casted the same spell as he had for Lightning, eyes closing at the action. He couldn't restore her Light, but he could at least help with her weaknesses and wounds.

Rosa is in good hands, Kain realized silently. Riku was going to do what Kain couldn't: being useful when it mattered. He looked over to Lightning and walked over to her, his expression devastated. I am so sorry, he silently apologized, kneeling down before Lightning. I didn't protect you. You paid the price for my weakness. But Lightning surprised him. She knelt down in front of him and gave him a hug in reassurance, her hand finding the back of his head to give him comfort.

Rosa sighed in relief when her wounds were healed and she was given a second wind. She grasped Riku's hands as he tried to pull away. "...I do not know your name, nor why you are here, but thank you," she said, her gratitude heavily laced into her voice. Even if this battle was unexpected, she was glad for the assistance present at the time. Even if the man in front of her held Darkness within him.

Riku was startled by the gratitude. Surely Rosa knew he had Darkness in him, but she accepted his assistance. "...Of course," he said with a small nod. As if he was going to leave when things were this bad. Not only for Lightning, but he owed it to this world to help. He brought more Heartless during the invasion. He had to help somehow.

Lightning withdrew from the embrace, keeping one hand on the back of Kain's neck and placing the other on his shoulder. "I don't like that look of self-pity," she said quietly to him. Of course he was used to her boldness, but he wasn't accustomed to her reading him so well. "Everyone freezes up sometimes. That's when you rely on us. Alright?" She may have been leaving this world soon, but she would always be his friend.

Riku helped Rosa to her feet, which was when Cecil took over and supported her. He turned to look at the woman he loved, only to see her once again in Kain's arms. He didn't frown, and he didn't furrow his eyebrows in concern. He just looked. There was something between Kain and Lightning, Riku couldn't deny that anymore. But...she said she would go home. Whether that was with him to the Islands or back to Cocoon, she wasn't staying here. That was more important than Riku's thoughts on their relationship.

Lightning set a hand atop Kain's head, pressing down on it as she rose to her feet shakily. She was worried about Kain, but it wasn't her place to put him back together. Cecil and Rosa would have to step in. Right now, it was time for her to sort out her own life--the life she had with Riku. As Kain rose to his feet in her line of sight, she looked past him to Riku, seeing him looking at her with an expression she couldn't read.

Riku met Lightning's gaze, and he held it as his thoughts continued. The idea of home was appealing. He missed his friends. He missed the beach, the sea, and the sun. The Islands were home, but then again, so was Lightning. Wherever she was, he wanted to be. He didn't want to be apart from her again. He made that mistake once; he wasn't doing it twice.

Lightning approached Riku, careful of her own unsteady footsteps. She didn't want to trip and fall on her way to him. When she stepped right in front of him, she placed her hands on his shoulders and pressed against them, leaning up and giving him a kiss on the lips. This mess is finally over.

Riku hadn't expected the kiss, but he didn't refuse it. His hands fell to Lightning's waist as he returned the affection, though he pulled away a moment later. His time here was up, but so was Lightning's. She could finally leave this place, and come home.

Light rested her forehead against Riku's shoulder, finally beginning to express the weakness that she felt. In all seriousness, she didn't know how she found the strength to remain on her feet, even now after the Darkness was all gone. She had no energy left.
