Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Lightning didn't stumble at all when Riku climbed onto her back, not like the other girls who were struggling to keep their balance with the weight on their backs. "Yeah," Light agreed with a smirk. This was obviously her race. Nobody else even stood a chance against her, especially not in the uneven terrain. Everyone here may have grown up along the beach, but they didn't train in the sand like she often did.

"On my mark," said the referee. "Three...two...one...go!"

Snow watched from the sidelines as everyone took off. Well...the only person who took off was Lightning; all the other girls tripped or stumbled upon starting. One girl even face-planted. Snow started to laugh, but he bit his fist as to not laugh too loud. That was just plain rude.

Lightning heard multiple people laugh from the sidelines, and she turned to walk backwards so that she could see what happened. Everyone else tripped up and fell before they even got past the starting line. She smirked and slowed her jog to a walk, eyeing the surprised people in the crowd who looked at her strength and grace. "Well that was pathetic," Lightning said so only Riku could hear.

Riku chuckled lowly, looking at the finish line. Was it even necessary to keep going? "That's my girl," he said quietly, planting a kiss in Lightning's hair. He was proud of her for being so strong, but that was the thing. He wasn't sure he would ever fall in love, but he did...and she was a warrior.

Lightning walked backwards all the way to the finish line, not tripping up once. Just to take it the extra mile, she casually walked back to the starting line with Riku still on her back. The crowd wasn't sure what to do with her. They were so surprised that somebody was actually strong enough to complete the task and to do it twice that some of them forgot to cheer for her. But as soon as Serah and Snow began to cheer loudly, the rest of the crowd began to follow suit.

Riku only smirked as he hopped off Lightning's back, his feet hitting the sand. He stood next to her and looked at the crowd that clapped, realizing the truth: they were admiring her strength. He was proud of her, but she already knew that.

One of the competitors who had dragged his girlfriend to her feet glared at Lightning. He knew that he wasn't the only one who had ill will towards her now; all the guys were humiliated that they had been undone like this. "She-man," he breathed under his breath, catching the attention of Lightning and receiving a surprised expression. How could she be surprised though? She was too manly not to make fun of.

Riku's senses were up to par, even higher actually. So, just like Lightning, he heard the comment as well. He instantly got defensive, his aquamarine eyes turning hard as he glared at the guy who dared to say such a thing. What was that? his glare seemed to say. Who had the guts to insult her like that? Clearly she was stronger than the average woman, which meant she was a match for any guy who took her on.

Another guy, further down the line, stepped forward to join the insulting. "Must be on steroids or something," he taunted. "What a freak." He noticed Lightning's eyebrows furrow then as she silently glared at him. She didn't have any defense because she agreed with him: she was a freak for being so strong.

Riku realized this was going to turn ugly, so instead of playing along, he decided to be cool. There were kids nearby, after all. "C'mon, Light," he told her softly, wrapping his arm around her lower back and starting toward Snow and Serah. It was best just to get out of here before this got really ugly.

"Wait a second, she-man," another one said. He reached out and grabbed her forearm, yanking her away from Riku while she was off guard. "Let's have a race. You and your boy against us carrying our girls." They would regain their honor here. Maybe she was a freak, but she wasn't stronger than they were. They would prove it here and now.

Riku got on the defensive immediately, stepping forward and grabbing the guy's arm, making him release Lightning. "Don't touch her," he warned the guy lowly. Or he would be answering to Riku. And right now, Riku's temper was the last thing this guy wanted.

"You want to challenge me to a race after all that?" Lightning huffed, not bothering to rub her arm where the guy grabbed her despite instinct. They saw her walk that distance twice without stumbling under Riku's weight and they were still dumb enough to want to face her? "Fine. Riku, let's go." In her mind, they'd have to stop harassing her if they realized that she was stronger than her and that her victory wasn't just a fluke.

Riku turned his head to protest, but he realized it would be a waste. Lightning wasn't going to back down from a challenge, especially one that tested her strength. He didn't say another word as he went to the starting line, wanting to get this over with.

Lightning walked over to the starting line next to Riku, seeing the displeased expression on his face. Maybe she shouldn't have accepted the challenge, but she couldn't back down now. While the arrogant boyfriends were coaxing their girlfriends onto their backs, she motioned for Riku to get on hers. She wanted to beat these guys to a pulp, but she could only beat them in the race tonight.

Riku climbed onto Lightning's back like before, but he wasn't happy about this. He looked to his sides, seeing the girls on top of their boyfriends' backs. And they were all giving Lightning dirty looks. Riku shook his head and focused forward. Do your thing, Light.

Lightning heard the referee count down the same way before, smugness in his tone. She could tell that he thought that she was doomed to fail. She gritted her teeth and looked forward, her body tense as he shouted the word "go." She didn't let her temper cloud her senses as she pushed off faster and smoother than any of the other guys did, though they at least didn't topple like all the girls did earlier.

Snow watched from his place on the sidelines, arms crossed as he witnessed Lightning's smooth start. But...something didn't feel right. In fact, he thought he saw a few of the guys share a look. What did that mean?

  • Author

Lightning was about five feet ahead of the rest of them and she was only going at the jog she started at earlier. The distance was bound to keep growing, too, because her pace was faster than the rest of theirs. She spun around and began to go backwards again, noticing that the children who had previously been watching were gone now. Their parents saw what was happening and decided to leave while the kids were oblivious to the tension. That gave Lightning the freedom to do some taunting of her own. "What's the matter?" she taunted lowly, her pace the same as she jogged backwards. "Didn't you guys want to beat me?"

"Light..." Riku said in uncertainty, tense. He didn't think teasing those guys was the best idea, but he knew Lightning was past the point of no return. He would have normally been amused by her taunting, but something felt wrong. He didn't like it, and a look on one of the guys' faces did little to settle his worries.

Lightning heard Riku's worried tone, but her eyes warned of what was coming more quickly than his voice did. One of the guys purposely kicked sand up at her face, and in order to avoid it, she had no choice but to jump into the lane of two of the other guys. But they were prepared for her. They both sprinted forward quickly after  they dropped their girlfriends and came at Lightning, one of them yanking Riku off her back by grabbing his shirt and the other yanking Lightning towards him by pulling on hers.

Riku grunted roughly when he landed on his back in the sand, the wind getting knocked out of him. As he tried to regain his senses and breathe, he heard laughter not too far off. He knew it. He knew something bad was going to happen. Why didn't he just make Lightning walk away from this?

The other pairs ran on to the finish line, another one still grabbing the front of Lightning's shirt. While they cheered for their victory and taunted her from afar, she glared at the one who held onto her. The only reason she didn't tear herself away yet was because Serah didn't just pick out the costume for her; she also made it. She didn't want to risk ripping it because of this guy's stupidity. Meanwhile, the one that grabbed Riku approached her from behind, lightly fingering her tail.

Snow saw what was happening from where he stood, and he fought the urge to march over to where Lightning was. But Riku was rising to his feet. He would give him a second to try and solve this, but if anything happened--physically--he would step in and offer his assistance.

Light felt her tail getting toyed with, and she looked over her shoulder to see him twirling it with his fingers. He kept on inching in closer to the tail's root, which was not okay with her. But before she could do anything to get him away from her, she felt a hand grab her face.

"Eyes on me, freak," the boy in front of her taunted, his hand smushing her cheeks a bit as he looked at her. Her glare was a furious one, but again, she didn't say a word against him. He thought she was submitting, but in reality, she was accepting that she got herself into this situation because of her big mouth and speaking words now wasn't going to help her.
