Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

"No, no, listen to me," Riku said, stepping forward and holding Light's face in his hands. "Claire, this is possible, okay? Sora and Kairi, they do this all the time." His aquamarine eyes were sincere, pleading with her to believe him. "Have you ever noticed the weird looks they give each other? It's like...like a conversation is happening between them that only they can hear. I think this is it." He couldn't be wrong. No...it was impossible. He had to be right.

Light looked up and saw Riku's desperate eyes that were pleading for her to believe in him. She always believed in him, but this...this was crazy. "I never saw anything," she said quietly, being honest. "I don't know what's going on, but...hearts don't talk to each other..." She was against believing in miracles, and to her, it would have been a miracle if this type of thing did exist. "I don't believe this type of thing exists, but I wish it did. It would save me from saying a lot of hard things." She wasn't even aware that she said those words to Riku just then, or that the first words she said to him were some of the hard things her mind was centered on.

"What kind of hard things?" Riku asked then, confused. "Like you being a freak?" He heard that, just like he heard the most recent confession. He wasn't making this up! Why couldn't Lightning just believe him? He didn't get hit on the head; he didn't suffer any head injury. He was telling the truth.

Light's hand dropped from Riku's chest, her grasp completely withered away at the words. "What...?" she asked weakly, her eyes showing the same vulnerability and insecurity that they had when she first thought the question in her head. She silently asked Riku if she was a freak, not that she ever delivered that message. But right after she thought that, he started to act strange-- Her eyes widened drastically, locked onto Riku's. He heard the question. That was what started all this.

Riku kept the close proximity, his hands still holding Lightning's face. "I know that's what you asked me," he told her softly, speaking over the waves. "You wanted to know if I thought you were a freak." He felt himself getting defensive with that bit, because he would never think of Lightning in that way. It was an insult that she even asked. "And if you think you're a freak, I'm worse than you. Look at what I'm trying to tell you." He was trying to tell her that his heart spoke to her. If anyone was a freak, it was him.

"No--" Lightning said, her voice caught in her throat. "You're not the freak. You...and I...And you heard..." She couldn't even put the words together. "You're right and I just...It's...It's not that I doubted you, it's that I didn't want to believe it. ...It'd be too good, and I didn't want to get my hopes up, so I--" She sighed, lifting her hands to his face. She couldn't articulate herself at all, which was rare for her. "I'm so sorry, Riku. You're not a freak. You're right. Hearts can talk..."

Riku gazed at Lightning's, his hands remaining on her face. "...You believe it?" he asked softly. Lightning actually believed what he said? He heard her heart speak to him, he felt it come in contact with his. It was the weirdest thing, bizarre even, but it was true.

"I heard you," Light said, stroking his cheeks. "I felt you touch my heart. I have to believe you." She was really against believing in things that were too good to be true, but Riku didn't lie to her. He didn't lie to her face and he didn't lie to her heart. This was real.

Riku couldn't help but smile in relief, glad to finally be believed. He knew he wasn't making this up. The sensation was too amazing to ignore, and he never wanted to neglect it. It felt great, to speak to Lightning's heart without speaking at all. Riku knew their hearts were connected for real after they shared the Paopu fruit, but this proved it even more.

Light saw Riku's smile, and it made her heart drop. She knew that she had been hurting him by saying she didn't believe hearts could speak, but seeing his face now made her realize just how sad it made him, and how relieved he was to believe. "I'm so sorry, Riku," she repeated again, keeping her hands on his face. I'm so sorry I'm so stubborn.

"No," Riku said with the smallest shake of his head. He made sure not to force her hands away from his face; they were cool against his burning cheeks. "Don't be. This is...amazing." He always knew that Sora and Kairi had something special by the way they simply looked at each other sometimes, and now he knew what it was. And it was even more special because he experienced it himself. He and Lightning were truly connected, now more than ever. His heart could speak to her... It was the oddest thing, but he loved it all the same.

Light tilted her head slightly, keeping her eyes on Riku. He seemed happy--no, delighted at all of this, but she still felt bad about how she came across through it all. "Riku..." she said quietly, slipping her hands onto his shoulders. I have a right to be sorry; I made you feel like a freak. What kind of a girlfriend would do that so harshly?

Riku's smile slowly began to fade. "What?" he asked softly, speaking over the soft waves. Why was Lightning being so hard on herself? Yes, it hurt that she didn't believe him at first, but his heart reached her for him, without him trying. That was still significant.

Light lowered her gaze to Riku's chest. She was taking away his happiness again. First it was because she didn't believe him, and now because she couldn't let go of the guilt. She was criticizing herself for making him feel like a freak, and now she was criticizing herself for making him sadder again. Can't do anything right, can I? she thought, though she didn't believe the words went through to Riku. She really didn't know how this whole thing worked.

Riku stared at Lightning with soft eyes, wondering what was wrong. Did she still feel bad about doubting him? Honestly, he would have too, if he was in her position. It was nothing to feel bad about. "Claire," he said softly. It was okay...really.

Light locked her jaw at the name that only Riku was allowed to speak. He used it during some of their most intimate moments, and he was choosing to use it now. But why? She didn't deserve it at this moment. She shut her sad eyes, unaware that aside from words transferring between hearts, feelings also crossed the bridge as well.

Riku closed his eyes at the feelings that impacted his heart, feelings that weren't his own. They belonged to Lightning. He let one of his hands fall, his fingers lightly gripping her waist. He wanted to tell her not to worry, but would she believe him?

Lightning looked up at Riku, seeing his more solemn expression. Somehow, she knew that her feelings had reached him. "Crap," she thought, unaware that he words were transferring to him again. "Now I made him sad. Way to go--you're a great girlfriend." The last sentence was spoken with sarcasm even in her mind, the warrioress vulnerable to using sarcastic remarks every now and then.

Riku smiled slightly, though it was in amusement. He found it funny how Lightning referred to sarcasm to describe herself. Little did she know, she was fantastic. "You are a great girlfriend," he told her, using his heart to do the talking. "The best. I made the mistake of letting you go once, but I'm never going to do that again. You have my heart, always." He would never take it back. Lightning had it and protected it; Riku didn't want it back.

Light's eyes widened briefly at the words and the warmth that flooded her heart. While her thoughts had been sarcastic, Riku's were genuine. They had the ability to half the sorrow in her heart just by going straight to her heart. It wasn't that she ever doubted Riku's words were genuine, but actually feeling what he was feeling as he spoke them to her. ...Wow.

Riku's smile remained as he opened his eyes, his gaze instantly locking onto Lightning's surprised face. He stroked her cheek with his thumb, just letting her take in his words. He knew she felt them, heard them, whatever. However this heart-communication worked, Riku knew Lightning understood him. That was all that mattered.

Light kept her eyes locked onto Riku's as she finally began to grasp this. His heart could talk to her heart, and hers could talk to him. She was beginning to realize all the implications of communicating this way. "...Say something else," she silently requested, hoping and praying that the words reached him.

Riku's smile widened slightly at the request. "...I love you, Claire Farron," he announced, his adoration for her transferring to her heart as well. He wasn't going to ever take the declaration back. He couldn't, not after leaving her for a while. His life was set. It was with her.

Claire finally smiled at the words. It was impossible not to smile at the words and the sensation that came with them. "And I love you, Riku Cole. I always will." There was drama lately with Kain, and while she did have to admit she had a connection with him, it was Riku that she would love and cherish for the rest of her life.

Riku gazed at Lightning as those words impacted him, his heart warming at the declaration. He then leaned forward, pressing his lips to Lightning's in a loving kiss. He would never get tired of those words. Not ever. One of these days, he hoped to make the woman before him his. Claire Cole.
