Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

    Forever Love

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

"Yes it did," Riku said softly, lifting his hand to lightly twirl Lightning in her spot. "Piano, right?" He never listened to music these days, but the song she was transmitting was peaceful. He really liked it, and the fact that Lightning did this just so they could dance together. It was flattering.

Light opened her eyes, finally realizing that Riku was subtle dancing with her. The twirl, however, was much less subtle than just swaying with her. "Oh!" she gasped quietly, going along with the motion of the twirl before she was brought in to Riku's chest. She moved her hand from his shoulder to his chest, looking up at him with surprise and glee in her eyes. It actually worked...

At the look in Lightning's eyes, Riku smiled. He held Lightning close and took in the happiness he saw on her face, wanting to keep it there for a very long time. Now that things were looking up, he believed he could do just that. It was a goal of his, and he planned to achieve it.

Light looked up at Riku, blushing for more reasons than one. She couldn't believe she didn't notice right away that he heard the music, and she couldn't believe she was so delighted over something so simple. It was childish and slightly embarrassing. Not only that, but it was distracting, and since she wasn't focusing, the music disappeared.

Riku didn't care that the music disappeared. He instead let the waves be the music, and he continued to sway with the woman he loved. Lightning's blush had him smiling crookedly, just because it didn't happen often. But he was sure it would be happening again soon. He had some plans up his sleeve.

Light's blush remained when she realized that Riku was going to continue the dance whether they had music or not. She smiled weakly and kept her hand on his chest, eyes closing as she swayed with him. This was a replacement dance because she couldn't remember their last one. She had a feeling that this dance was better than that one anyway.

Riku could tell Lightning's mind was turning, and he wasn't sure what she was focusing on. Regardless, his eyes were locked on her blush. It was the smallest thing, but it was great all the same. Lightning was too tough to blush, until Riku came along. He changed her, just as she changed him. For the better too. At the thought, Riku swayed to one side and then put Lightning in a dip, supporting her with his hand on her back.

Light's eyes shot open at the dip, the young woman automatically bringing her hand to Riku's back to stop herself from falling. Of course she was never in danger of falling in the first place; this dip was done by Riku on purpose. She looked up at him with surprise at first, her blush remaining as she looked up at that cheeky expression of his.

Riku chuckled softly at Lightning's expression, but after a moment he pulled her back upright, continuing to hold her close. He didn't want her daydreaming while they were dancing, which was why he dipped her. But her mind could wander if she focused on their future. Was she on the same lines as him? Marriage...and possibly a family?

Light slowly found comfort in Riku's chest again, her eyes flickering shut as she swayed with him. "You're such a dork," she mumbled to him, though her tone was obviously loving. He may have been a dork, but he was exactly what she needed on so many occasions. He may have been strong and serious, but he was also vulnerable and goofy. Just the person to bring out the latter two traits in her.

"But I'm your dork," Riku replied gently, smiling crookedly. He was Lightning's dork, idiot, and many other things, but what mattered was that he was hers. She couldn't disagree with that. Sure, they didn't get along at first, but now they were hopelessly in love. It was hard to grasp just how much Riku loved Lightning sometimes. The thought of marriage had his heart racing every time he thought about it; he never thought he'd find the woman he'd want to marry. Riku never thought he'd ever get married. Years ago, it was farthest from his mind. Now it was a different story.

Light sighed, though she was smiling faintly as she wrapped her arm further around Riku's back. "You're my dork," she agreed simply. And she was glad to have him as opposed to anyone else. With all that happened recently, she couldn't help but think of Kain and how he tried to win her heart. But no matter what he did, he couldn't compare to Riku. Kain could have tried whatever he wanted and it wouldn't have mattered; Riku already had her heart.

Riku's smile turned more genuine and he pulled Lightning closer, resting the side of his face against the side of her head. If he could be a dork, he'd rather be Lightning's dork. It wasn't as humiliating, and he actually liked it. In the past, a name like that would have offended him, but he wised up and matured to who he was now. True, he was still immature in some ways, but he had a long time to be the man Lightning wanted and needed.

"What am I to you?" Light asked softly in Riku's ear. Riku was her dork, but what was she to him? Going back to her earlier thoughts, she remembered how she thought of herself as a freak, but she knew that Riku would never call her his freak. It would have been completely cruel and unlike him to say something like that.

Riku closed his eyes, releasing a small breath as he continued to smile. "....You're my Light," he declared softly. She was his Light in the Darkness, no matter what. "You make me feel whole, and you give me strength. You're my Claire." She always would be. He couldn't imagine life without her, and he didn't want to.

Light set her hand on the back of Riku's head, her eyes open when Riku spoke those words to her. "So serious," she whispered, though she was teasing him to cover for the blush further lit her cheeks. Going from terms of "dork" to "Light" was quite a jump, and while she appreciated his words more than anything, she hoped to hear a response that was a little less serious.

Riku chuckled slightly. "Fine," he said softly. "Then you're my Wonder Woman." He knew Lightning would get a kick out of the reference, but it was true. She was a fighter, a "warrior goddess," and she was tough. But she was compassionate all the same, beneath her harder exterior. And he was perfectly okay with it.

Light pulled back a  bit, looking at Riku's face in amusement. "Wonder Woman," she mused, giving him a look. She had a feeling that the name came around because of her strength, but she wasn't sure what would bring up that name or what other parts of the heroine correlated to her. She was curious to hear Riku explain his idea further.

Riku sighed when he caught Lightning's expression. She wanted him to explain, didn't she? He looked over her head at the cliff they were near before. "...You're a soldier," he started softly. "But you're more than that. You don't just fight to fight; you do it for the greater good, and for those you care about." He then lowered his gaze to her. "And not only are you beautiful, but you have a beautiful heart. You're not heartless, despite your tough skin. That's significant to me."

Light was glad Riku wasn't looking at her at first; it gave her a chance to lower her eyes before he looked back at her and could lock her eyes in place. She couldn't meet his eyes when he was showering her with compliments like this. She looked past him to the festival lights, letting the silence linger for a few moments before she filled it. "Still so serious," she teased quietly.

Riku groaned slightly, exasperated. "You didn't laugh at Wonder Woman!" he said of his joke, pulling back slightly to look at her. "What more do you want from me?" He was joking of course, because he would give Lightning everything if he could. But he was being honest; no masks, like they preferred.

Light smiled kindly, setting her hands on Riku's shoulders. "I want a lighthearted name like 'dork' or 'goof'. Something without any relation to fighting or anything like that. And I want it...by the end of the night." She'd give him some time to think about it; she wasn't completely unreasonable, after all.

"Oh, c'mon! You know I'm not creative," Riku said in his defense, his hands now resting on Lightning's waist. Their dance was done now, but that was okay. He enjoyed it for as long as it lasted. But now he had a new task: a nickname much like dork but not insulting. Perfect.

"And that's why I'm giving you the rest of the night. It's pretty reasonable, you know." Light smirked at him from behind her pink bangs, standing still for the sole reason that Riku's hands were on her waist and she didn't want them to move. Even if he didn't come up with a name, she'd forgive him this one time.

Riku hung his head slightly, looking to the side. "Fine," he said lowly. He would think of something, but it would take a while. He was never good at this kind of stuff. Calling Sora lazy was easy, because he was. And calling Kairi stubborn was easy for the same reason. But Lightning? He wasn't sure.
