Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku's smile turned crooked at the treatment, but he wouldn't let it go to his head. This was only for today, and while he did enjoy it, it was far from necessary. He sat down in the chair and looked at the food in front of him, all of it smelling delicious. He wasn't sure where to start.

Light remained behind Riku, smirking at him as he looked at the food. She had to admit that it did look delicious. She placed her hands on his shoulders and began to massage them gently, her eyes on the top of his head since she didn't feel like leaning too far forward to see his face. "I heard you went to Disney Town," she commented then.

Riku blinked, out of his trance at the smell of the food. He nodded. "Yeah, I did," he confirmed. But of course Lightning already knew that. "Was that your suggestion, or was that all Sora and Kairi?" He doubted Lightning would suggest an amusement park of all places to go; Nautilus wasn't a fond memory for either of them. It had to have been Sora and Kairi, especially Sora.

"I told them to keep you out of the house," Light piped, continuing to rub Riku's shoulders. "The rest was all them." She didn't have the right to take up all of Riku's birthday; he had other people that cherished him and wanted to spend time with him. So in a way, it was great that things could unfold like this.

Riku smirked, tilting his head back to look at the person behind him. "I'm not surprised," he said, of either thing. Lightning would demand something like that, and his friends would want a day to go to an amusement park. His birthday was the perfect opportunity for that, as well as Lightning working on her cooking skills.

"Not surprised that I didn't have the creativity to plan your whole day?" Light smirked, withdrawing her hands from Riku's shoulders. "Thanks." Of course she was joking; she and Riku both knew that when it came to gifts and planning day trips, neither of them were very creative. She could make a million different battle plans in one sitting, but sketching out a date was nearly impossible for her.

Riku lifted one of his hands and grasped Lightning's before it got too far, his hold gentle. "That you ordered me out of the house, I mean," he said in his defense, even if Lightning was joking. She needed time to herself to both cook and surprise him. "...But now I know why you did. So...thank you." He appreciated the effort, even if he wasn't worth it.

Light smiled, leaning down to give Riku a kiss on his forehead. "You're welcome," she said. She gently withdrew her hand from his, motioning to the assortment of food on the table. "Go ahead and get started. I'll be right there." She just needed to take care of one last thing before she was ready to sit down.

Riku nodded slightly and did as told, deciding to go for the meat first. That should have been an obvious choice from the beginning, but it all looked so delicious he couldn't decide then. Oh well, he time he dug in, and that's exactly what he did. But of course, he made sure not to look like a fool and be disgusting; he was twenty-one now. It was time to behave as such.

Lightning returned with two champagne glasses in her hands, both filled with a red wine. She didn't drink often, and when she did, it was simply wine as opposed to beer. She went out and bought the wine and glasses for Riku's birthday tonight so they could share his first drink. She set it down on the table by him, looking to see his expression when he noticed.

Riku had just swallowed food, and good thing too, because he was sure he would have choked on it. "Whoa..." he said, looking from the glasses to her. "Wine?" He had never tasted the stuff, or any kind of alcoholic beverage. And last time he checked, Lightning didn't really drink either. The fact that she bought a bottle of wine for this was flattering, as the entire night so far had been. You didn't have to do this...

Light's lips turned up in a half-smile at Riku's childish expression. He was so fascinated by the red liquid. "Yes, wine," she agreed, holding up her own glass as she stood next to Riku's chair. "You are an adult now..." So she figured that she would make some available for him to try. If he didn't care for it, she'd just take it back to the kitchen.

Riku lifted an eyebrow. "I was an adult at eighteen," he reminded her, gently taking the glass from the table. He lifted it and sniffed the wine, as he usually did with taste tests. He wasn't sure what he'd think, but it was worth a shot. He wouldn't waste a glass of the expensive beverage.

Lightning briefly rolled her eyes. "You know what I mean," she said simply. He may have been an adult, but he couldn't drink alcohol until now. So now he was a full blown adult, though saying it like that sounded silly. That was why she let her former sentence do the talking.

Riku smirked, his eyes lifting from the glass to Lightning. "Thanks," he said, about the offer as a whole. Lightning didn't have to go as far as wine, but he appreciated it as well. He was actually happy to be sharing his first drink with her. It could be considered a monumental moment.

Lightning grunted a "you're welcome". She lifted her glass a little bit, holding it by the bottom of its rounded glass. "I tried to think of a toast, but I wasn't creative enough..." She felt a little sheepish for not being able to think through that when she already did so much, but she couldn't change anything now.

Riku chuckled slightly, looking down at his glass. "Um..." he tried, lifting his free hand to run through his hair. "To...uh...being an adult?" He glanced up at her and smiled, that being the best he could come up with. In truth, he didn't need a toast. That was the farthest thing from his mind with everything else today.

Lightning smirked, tapping her glass against Riku's. "To being an adult," she agreed. She already was an adult for a few years, but hey, Riku's toast was as good as any that she thought of in her head. She lifted the glass to her lips and took a sip of it, actually enjoying the flavor. It had been a long time since she had a good glass of wine.

Riku took a sip at the same time as Lightning, and he took in the taste. It wasn't totally sour, but it was mostly sweet. He actually expected it to taste horrible, but it was quite good. He hummed at the taste. Lightning picked a good wine, not that he would know too well.

Light lowered her glass after her sip and silently watched Riku. Seeing that he didn't spit out the wine after the first taste was a good sign. Of course she wouldn't have been offended if he didn't like it; it wasn't as if she made it or anything. In fact, she wouldn't have been offended if he hated dinner either. She only would have been sad.

Riku felt Lightning's gaze on him, and he met her gaze. Seeing that she was still standing, he motioned with his head for her to have a seat. This dinner wasn't just for one; it was for the both of them, and it was surely cooling off. It was time they ate, and Riku got a taste of Lightning's meal.

Light glanced over at the available seat, heading towards it in silence. It was as she sat down that she asked Riku what was on her mind. "What'd you think?" If he didn't like it, she was just going to take it back to the kitchen. That was part of the reason that she was still standing up earlier. Oh well; she wouldn't mind if she needed to stand up again to take the wine away.

"Not bad," Riku said, setting the glass down as he got more food on his plate. "I thought it'd be awful, but I think I might like it." The wine wasn't bad, but it would require him getting used to the taste. It was alcohol after all, so it wasn't like he had an acquired taste for the stuff.

Lightning hummed her response, settling into her chair. Though she was quite hungry, she didn't go for any food immediately. Instead, she looked directly across the table to Riku. "...And the food?" she asked. What do you think? She had to admit that she had butterflies in her stomach out of nervousness; she knew that Riku didn't care if the food was perfect or not, and that he just cared she put effort into it, but she at least cared about the quality of her gift.

Riku smiled crookedly. "Getting there," he replied, sending Lightning a wink across the table before he got a little more food. He was flattered that she did all this for him. Taste wouldn't even matter. The fact that all this effort was put in was more than enough. He was sure Lightning did great.
