Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku rolled his eyes and grabbed his glass holding his newest order, a drink that was dark brown in color. "I'm doing fine," he said, words slurring as he lifted the glass to his lips and took a drink. Once again, he noticed that he wasn't tasting anything, but that was alright. He didn't even care.

Light tightened her grasp on Riku's leg, though her gaze was on Snow Villiers. "I think you guys have been out long enough," she said to her brother-in-law. "Why don't you come home?" Riku wasn't acting like himself, and she knew that he wasn't the type of person who liked to lose control of himself in any situation. She wanted to get him away from the drinks as soon as possible.

Snow motioned to Riku. "Look at him! He's having a great time!" he assured Lightning, smiling. "He's having fun. Let him live a little, Light." Riku would regret this in the morning, sure, but he deserved to let go. Besides, this was what turning twenty-one involved.

I should have known I couldn't reason with Snow, Lightning scolded herself. She shook her head to Snow's response and looked back to Riku, though his mind wasn't what it normally was. "Riku," she said gently, though she did raise her voice to speak over the crowd. "Let's go home. It's late..." It was a sorry excuse to tear him away from the alcohol, but she was so surprised at the situation that she didn't know what else to say.

Riku turned his head to look at Lightning, and his eyes turned hard. "Why are you here?" he asked then, words slurring slightly but his tone coming across as dark. "Shouldn't you be with Kain?" Because Riku wasn't in his right mind, he reflected on his mistake, and that was what happened with Kain. All he could focus on when he saw Lightning was that stupid kiss she shared with Kain right in front of him, which was meant to hurt him. It did. She succeeded.

Light's eyes widened, though she was mostly confused at this point. "What are you talking about?" she asked, keeping her hand on Riku's leg as she completely ignored Snow's presence behind her. Why on earth was Riku bringing up Kain? And even though his eyes weren't normal, there was still a genuine look of anger and hatred behind them.

Riku caught Snow making motions at him just beyond Lightning, but his eyes were stuck on the woman in front of him. "Kain, your 'Prince Charming,'" he mocked, glaring at Lightning. "The one who can give you a life of luxury and support I obviously wasn't good enough for." He turned, grabbing his glass and taking another drink as he ignored the grip on his leg.

Light's mouth was agape in surprise. She didn't know what to say to any of that. Riku was too wrong for her to even correct him, and too drunk to even listen. Even if the words came out in a drunken slur, her heart ached with every cruel word that Riku spat at her. Kain was not her Prince Charming, and Riku was plenty good enough for her. He can't mean this, her logical brain told her, though her heart disagreed.

Riku felt the touch on his leg, and he lifted a hand to push it off. "So go," he said, speaking over all the noise in the room. "Go back and kiss him some more. See if I care." In truth, he would, but he wasn't in his right mind. He wouldn't even remember this conversation in the morning, or the problems it would cause.

Lightning took her hand back and took a small step away, though she had no intentions of running back to Kain. These were just drunken words...They didn't mean a thing...Even when she was repeating those mantras to herself, her heart still ached. Riku wasn't Riku when he was drunk like this. She didn't like it.

Snow glanced from Riku to Lightning, and upon seeing her face, he reached forward to grab Riku's drink. "Okay, bud, I think she's right. That's enough," he insisted. This was getting out of hand, and this wasn't what Snow had in mind. Was Riku a sensitive drunk? No, he couldn't be. He had been fine up until now.

Riku moved his drink over, out of Snow's reach. "I'm fine," he said, words slurring. He was perfectly fine. Mad, but he was okay.

If Riku was rambling about Kain when he was drunk, Lightning knew that it meant he thought about Kain recently. The kiss too. She knew it was unwise to ask him about his feelings right now though. Whatever answers he gave wouldn't be completely reliable...So she bit her tongue and looked over at Snow, seeing that his amused expression was gone by now. "I'm not going to fight him," she said more quietly. "Bring him home when he's ready." In the mean time, she would leave. Staying wasn't good for anybody.

Riku simply smirked at Lightning's words, tipping his head back as he finished the last of his drink. But then he came up with an idea, something he wanted her to see and remember before she went home. "One second," he said, turning to face Lightning. He looked from her to the room, his aqua eyes searching for a particular person in the room. Once he found her, he would show Lightning what this kind of suffering was like.

Lightning misinterpreted Riku's words but left the smirk alone. She just said that she was leaving, and Riku told her to wait a second. That made it sound like he was ready to go home with her, away from the alcohol that changed his behavior. She was confused about why he was looking around though. Hopefully it was just to say goodbye to someone.

Riku rose from his seat, having to grip his chair to steady himself before he brushed past Lightning, his chest brushing her side as he maneuvered through the crowd. His eyes were on a girl with black hair, the red underneath helping her to stand out. He went up to her and grabbed her by the wrist, smiling at her before he brought her with him. She had a nice body and beautiful brown eyes, and she came onto him earlier. She was happy with his interference, smiling up at him as he led her toward Lightning and Snow.

Once Riku came back into view, Snow saw who was with him and groaned. "Oh no," he mumbled, bringing a hand to his face and leaning his elbow against the counter. This was bad.

Lightning looked over at Snow, ignoring the extreme confusion, concern, and jealousy that had her heart in a tizzy. "What?" she asked him. Though she didn't want to look at Riku, she found her eyes drawn back to him and the girl who she felt was a lot more beautiful than she was. What was Riku doing...?

Riku bumped into someone on his way back, and he glanced over his shoulder and mumbled a "sorry" with a stupid smile. The girl with him simply laughed. He pulled her up to the bar, standing a small bit away from Lightning and Snow. "This is Rachel," he said, looping his arm around her shoulders. Rachel leaned into him, placing a hand on his stomach. "She's been keeping her eye on me all night."

Lightning felt sick to her stomach at the sight. She subconsciously took a small step closer to Snow, though he couldn't protect her from what was coming. She was caught off guard, but she was intelligent. Riku brought up the fact that she kissed another man earlier. Now he was here with a girl holding onto him. "Riku," she pleaded, voice hoarse. "Don't..."

Riku lowered his gaze to Rachel, who looked back up at him. He smirked. "You're gorgeous," he told her, seeing her smile. "Mind if I do something?" When she shook her head, Riku turned to face Rachel completely, placing his hand on the back of her neck and bringing her close. He crushed his lips to hers in a rough kiss, one that only anger and jealousy could create.

Lightning couldn't breathe. She stepped back further and hit her back against the bar before she set a hand on it to keep her balance. She didn't think Snow ever saw her so off balance, but she wasn't concerned with what Snow thought of her right now. She wanted to look away. She wanted to scream at Riku to stop kissing Rachel and to come back to his senses. But her voice was lost and her chest was constricted in tightness. This felt like a literal stab to the heart, and seeing that her heart was connected to Riku's, she was sure he felt that stab too.

Riku was forced to pull back from the kiss, wincing as he turned his head away from Lightning and Snow. There was a sharp pain in his chest, but what was it from? He was too out of sorts to really know or care.

Rachel looked up at Riku, her hand on his cheek. "Why'd you stop, baby?" she asked with a smirk. "Come on. I won't bite...unless you want me to." She bit her lip and kept her grasp on one of Riku's strong arms, his hands on her small waist. He was too cute.

Lightning seethed. This was worse than her kiss to Kain. If Riku was fully aware of himself, he'd know that. But he wasn't, and because of that... She stepped forward, closer to the pair. "...Don't take advantage of him," Lightning ordered Rachel in a hoarse voice. He was drunk. He wouldn't really act like this. Nobody should have been taking advantage of Riku when he wasn't himself like this.

Rachel lifted an eyebrow, her hand remaining on Riku's tight arm. "And you are?" she asked, looking the pink-haired girl up and down. Who did she think she was, ordering Rachel around? That was just plain stupid. This was none of her business.

Lightning tensed, fists curled down by her sides. Don't get in a fight. Don't do it. She wouldn't do anyone any good if she did that. "I'm somebody you don't want to mess with," she said lowly. "Former officer of the Guardian Corps, trained to do whatever it takes to protect what I care about." She lifted a hand and pointed it at Riku. "He's what I care about, and I will do whatever to protect him."

"He obviously doesn't care too much about you if he's kissing me," Rachel snapped, her hand leaving Riku's cheek and instead touching his built chest. She got a feeling this "former officer" was a girlfriend of some kind, maybe even ex-girlfriend. Crazy ex? Possibly.

Riku's grip tightened on Rachel's waist at the pain he was experiencing, his chest throbbing. What was going on? He tried to focus on it, but all of his senses were clouded due to the alcohol. What was he just doing?
