Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning looked away. Did he embarrass himself? That wasn't the right way to describe what he did. He kissed another woman right in front of her. Just the mental picture of it brought back all of the feels that she had at that moment. Jealousy and heartbreak. And that stab of overwhelming strength...She felt it again, and it momentarily broke down the wall she set up between her and Riku and hit his heart too.

Riku froze at the pain that impacted his heart. What was it? It felt...familiar, in a way. He tilted his head as he looked at her, his eyebrows furrowing. "...I'll take that as a yes," he said, referring both to her silence and the feeling in his heart. It wasn't from him; it was Lightning's reaction to his question, and apparently to what he did last night. Obviously it wasn't good.

"It's nothing," Lightning mumbled, though she was lying. "I'll be right back." She left the room before Riku could protest. If her face wasn't flushed before from the fever, it certainly was flushed now. But the wall was back up now. She didn't want him connected to her heart after that betrayal. Yet she didn't want him to suffer either, which was why she returned to the room with water and an anti-hangover pill for Riku to take. After setting those down next to him, she moved to pull down the shades so he could see more easily.

Riku ignored the new medicine and another glass of water, instead focusing on the coffee table. He tried so hard to remember what happened last night. Snow would know, but he didn't want to face another person regarding this. It seemed too humiliating. What happened when Lightning showed up? He remembered her telling him to go home...

Light finished with the shades and saw Riku sitting there blankly. He was trying to remember what happened, but he wouldn't--not unless he got the Black Raspberry mix last night. It was a special drink that allowed people to remember what happens when they're drunk. She approached him and stood in front of him, taking the pill off the stand and holding it in the palm of her hand. "Take it."

Riku glanced at the pill and then Lightning, taking it and popping it in his mouth. He swallowed it without water, his eyes staying on Lightning as he thought things over again. She was there, he knew she was. Why would she be so upset otherwise? Did he have too many drinks? There was the vodka, the shots that Snow bought, the whiskey, and then there was Cocoon's special drink. What was it called again?

Lightning didn't like how Riku was staring at her. It was like the events of the night were beginning to surface, and looking at her was bringing them back. She glanced away in discomfort. "You should go take a shower," she said awkwardly. "I'll wash the sheets." It was easier than having a conversation with Riku when he didn't even know what he did.

Riku didn't say anything, instead doing as Lightning insisted. He wordlessly rose to his feet and tore his eyes from her, walking out of the room to reach the bathroom. Once inside, he stripped and took a shower like she told him. It would get rid of the alcohol smell at least.

Lightning finished throwing the sheets into the washer and had time to spare with Riku's shower, so she hopped in the spare and cleaned herself up. It was a quick shower since she didn't feel like standing up. Upon finishing, she simply put on sweatpants, a tank-top and a sweater before she returned to the couch and the blankets.

Once Riku finished with his shower, he had a clearer head. And while he changed, things began to come back. He remembered that the pain he felt when Lightning's heart connected with his had been present the night before. And it had been after... Riku grunted, lifting a hand to his head as he squeezed his eyes shut. The memories were painful, and they came in a rush. A girl--Rachel--who had been flirting with him all night. Then he yelled at Lightning about Kain, and grabbed Rachel to prove a point. A point that didn't need to be proven, and was completely unnecessary.

Breakfast, Lightning thought. It wasn't good to take pills on an empty stomach, so she supposed it was a good idea to make something for Riku to eat. She tiredly brought herself off the couch and headed to the kitchen, starting to make an omelet without a word. Riku probably wasn't thinking about how he needed to take care of himself, but she was.

Riku only had sweatpants on by this point, but completely dressing was the last thing on his mind. Now, he felt his heart drop to his upset stomach. He kissed another girl. No, he made out with her. He made out with Rachel, right in front of Lightning. He groaned and ran a hand through his damp hair, feeling sick again. What have I done?

Riku's not going to remember what happened, Lightning realized as she blankly made the eggs. So what was she supposed to do; she couldn't blame him for something he couldn't remember doing. But the things that he said...the things he did... those lingered in her mind even if he was sober now. Her memories would last forever.

Riku swallowed back the bile that began to rise in his throat, fighting it. No, he wasn't going to get sick over this. He was an adult and he was going to face this problem like one, even if he was exhausted and feeling miserable. But...Lightning had to feel worse. She was on the receiving end of everything. Riku dropped the shirt he nearly put on, leaving it on her bed as he left the bedroom and started down the hall, smelling eggs. The smell was both appetizing and nauseating.

Light would just act like nothing happened for a while. She had to at least give Riku time to recover from his hangover. And she hoped that in a little while, she'd be feeling less rocked too. His drunken words shouldn't have gotten to her so much. That kiss shouldn't have messed with her. But even as she consoled herself about this for the hundredth time, she still didn't believe it.

Riku approached the kitchen, and once he saw Lightning, he stopped. The food was probably delicious, but he just didn't have an appetite. Not after last night and all he drank and all he did. He wronged the woman he loved. He betrayed her and committed a sin. He kissed another woman, when his heart was solely devoted to Lightning.

Light poured the scrambled eggs onto a nearby plate, sensing a presence behind her. She grabbed the plate and a fork out of the drawer before she turned to face the shirtless man. Even if she looked Riku in the eye, her eyes were guarded, as was her heart. "Here," she said, holding it out for him to take.

Riku shook his head, not accepting the plate. He simply looked from the food to the woman he loved. The only woman he would ever care for. Not some girl he met in the bar. Riku was ashamed of himself, and that shame kept his words caught in his throat.

Lightning didn't notice the change in Riku since he returned; she was focused solely on giving him what he needed. She extended the plate further. "You can't take a pill like that without some food in your stomach," she said factually. He was going to get sick if he didn't eat something.

"I don't care about the food," Riku said, ignoring the plate once more. His eyes were on Lightning's, even if she didn't bother looking into his. He knew why she was avoiding him, but if that was the case, why was she doing all of this? Why was she still taking care of him? She should have thrown him out on the street.

Lightning didn't understand why Riku was being so stubborn, or why the vibe she got from him was different. But she was tired and sick and she wasn't in the mood for any of this. "I do." She practically shoved the plate at his stomach, though she didn't ruin the food. "Eat it." If you know what's good for you, you'll take it and eat.

Riku didn't appreciate the impact toward his stomach, already sensitive there as it was. He grabbed the plate and put it on the counter, though he didn't exactly do it lightly. His eyes found Lightning again, and he wasn't going to focus on anything else but her. She needed to talk to him. They needed to talk about what happened last night.

Light's tired temper got the better of her. "Fine," she spat. "Throw up some more. See if I care." She wasn't going to put up with this. She stepped over to walk past Riku, simply planning on returning to the living room to rest. She didn't have anything better to do, and being around Riku when he was so stubborn and weird wasn't doing her any good.

Riku winced when Lightning raised her voice slightly, his head still pounding. "No," he argued lowly, grabbing her arm before she got past him. He backed her up into the nearby counter and blocked her in, his eyes never leaving her. They were talking about this, now. They had to.

Lightning set her hands on the counter behind her, automatically leaning away from Riku when he boxed her in. He had no right to keep her trapped, not after what he did the previous night. Of course he didn't remember any of that though. "What's your problem?" she hissed at him in frustration and weariness.
