Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

"Love you too," Light murmured into Riku's neck, allowing her eyes to fall shut as she said the words. Her love for him wasn't going to change, now or ever. She decided that she wanted to spend all of her life with him no matter what happened. At least now she knew the drunkenness wouldn't happen again.

Riku turned his head and placed a kiss to Lightning's pink hair. "I'm sorry," he murmured against her head, keeping his lips there. He would regret this for a very long time. Even if he wasn't in his right mind, he made a huge mistake.

Light nodded softly, though she didn't move her head enough to force Riku away. "I know," she said quietly. Of course she was upset about all that happened, but they couldn't turn back the clock and erase all that. All they could do was keep moving forward and leave those horrible memories behind them.

Riku looked down at the woman in his arms, though he couldn't see her face all that well. And now that he paid attention to her body--though not like the group of guys did at the bar--he could tell her skin was hotter than usual. "...Are you feeling okay?" he asked after a moment. "Other than the obvious, I mean." Was she sick?

Lightning nodded softly once more. "I'm fine," she said quietly. "It's nothing." Those two tired answers contrasted one another though; one minute she said nothing was wrong, then she said something existed, but that something was nothing. And even though Riku was probably still a little hungover (unless the pill worked its magic by now), he would most likely see through her contradictions.

Riku could feel Lightning's forehead against his neck. "...You're burning up," he told her lowly. Something was wrong. He was hungover, and she was probably sick. This wasn't a good combination. Both of them needed to clearly rest.

Lightning relaxed her arms around Riku as she nodded for a third time. "I know," she revealed softly. She was sick ever since Riku stumbled out into the living room, but he hadn't noticed until this point because he had been distracted. She wasn't offended by that. More than anything else, she was just tired.

"You should rest," Riku said, pulling back slightly so he could see Lightning's face. His hands went to her shoulders, though she was still close. She had been so busy taking care of him that she neglected herself. Now that he was feeling a bit better, he could turn the tables and come to her aid.

Light looked up at Riku with tired eyes, her hands remaining on his waist. "I'm fine," she repeated quietly. "You're the one who should be resting." Hangovers weren't fun from what she heard. And she imagined that Riku didn't get a full night's sleep since he was probably sick throughout the night.

Riku kept his hands on Lightning's shoulder, looking toward the doorway. "Lay down with me," he requested then. If he had to rest, she would rest with him. Besides, after their most recent conversation, he didn't want her from his side. He needed to make up for his behavior the night before.

Light looked to the living room. "The couch," she said softly. "...After you heat up the eggs and get something in your stomach." He was going to get sick again if he didn't eat soon. Though he may have deserve some more sickness after his actions the previous night, she didn't want him throwing up anymore.

Riku nodded slightly, lifting one of his hands to cradle Lightning's face. "Go get settled. I'll be there in a few minutes," he told her gently. He would do as she said and eat the eggs. There wasn't much to eat, considering she only made a small amount with his sensitive stomach in mind. That was fine by Riku. Once he was finished eating, he would join her on the couch.

Light briefly took in the sensation of Riku's hand on her cheek, the feeling different than usual because for once, his hand was cooler than her cheeks. Since she didn't feel very good, she only nodded slightly to Riku's words before she headed to the couch and sat down on one side, resting her head against the side of the couch.

Riku did as Lightning instructed, heating up the eggs before eating them. It didn't take long, considering how hungry he was and how empty his stomach was because of all his puking. But once the food settled, he would be much better. After putting the dish in the washer, Riku joined Lightning in the living room. He made sure to grab one of the blankets she had been using and covered both of them up. It was chilly in her house, mostly because the snow had been unexpected, just like a lot of things last night.

When Riku joined her on the couch, Lightning shifted so that instead of leaning on the side of the couch, she leaned on Riku's side. Despite the fact that he was as warm as he always was, he didn't compare to her today. If she was smart, she would have checked to see what her temperature was before sitting down, but she could easily say that she wasn't completely with it today.

Riku made sure to tuck the blanket around Lightning before his arm encircled her. It was when he felt her skin that he blinked. "You're really warm," he told her gently, pulling her closer. Why was she sick? She never got sick.

"Mhm," Lightning hummed quietly, her eyes already shut since she was comfortable against Riku and under his arm. She already knew that she was burning up; everything felt cold compared to her, and her head was pounding like a drum. This was what she got for sitting outside all night; she couldn't deny that she brought this upon herself.

Riku thought back to the previous night, his eyes on the floor as he held Lightning. "...Nobody slipped anything into your drink, right?" he asked. He didn't remember specifically if she even had a drink, but that wasn't the point. She never got sick, so what happened? Did somebody slip her something when she wasn't looking, or was it something else?

"No," Light said quietly, hearing the concern laced in Riku's voice. "I didn't drink anything." If she was with it, she would have told him exactly why she felt like she was sick, but she wasn't connecting two and two. To her, Riku was just asking a question that was disconnected from his previous statement about her fever.

"I don't get it," Riku thought aloud, lowering his gaze to the blanket over his and Lightning's laps. "How did you get sick? You never get sick, Light." It was concerning, since what he said was correct. The last time Lightning had been sick that he could remember was when the Corps drugged her tea for training purposes. That was it.

Lightning breathed a quiet breath through her nose. Now she understood what Riku was getting at. "I needed to cool down after what happened last night," she said quietly. "So I sat outside for a while." And that "a while" turned out to be almost the entire night. She came in right around sunset, after all.

Riku frowned, holding Lightning a little closer at the words. "Not your best choice," he stated, bold. There was no point in beating around the bush, not anymore. She made a bad decision in sitting outside, and by the looks of things, without much warmth. But Riku caused it. She did say she needed to cool down; he had her temper flaring last night, didn't he?

"I know," Light agreed quietly. She was already beating herself up over that, but it was the best option she had at the time. She didn't want to talk to Serah or to Snow; that was why she urged the latter to go home so that he wouldn't stick his nose into their business. She had to admit that some of her anger came from Snow's actions last night too.

Riku let his jaw rest against Lightning's head, his arm still wrapped around her. He didn't say anything more, simply thinking back to the night before. He remembered mostly everything, though a few details were forgotten. It was a birthday celebration, and while it had been fun, it was dramatic as well. Riku guessed that was to be expected; nothing in his life was ever too simple. A night out with Snow turned into a drama fest, one that included a group of pigs ogling Lightning. Riku had been drunk at the time, but his heart had controlled his actions then.

Lightning briefly opened her eyes, appreciative of Riku's lack of further scolding and his gentle presence. "Feeling better?" she asked after a few moments of silence. The medicine she gave him earlier should have taken away the feeling of the hangover, and the food should have settled his stomach. Hopefully he was almost back to normal now.
