Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Kairi moved her arm closest to Sora as she turned her head to him, her hand finding his back. She didn't believe him, and she was sure that showed. He looked so...devastated, hurt. She didn't like it at all.

Sora felt Kairi's hand on his back as well as her gaze on his face, and he knew that she didn't believe him. "It's no big deal, what happened at the carnival," he said softly. "He just...pushed my buttons." He made Sora sound like he was defenseless, and he hated that.
"...It looks like he did more than that to me," Kairi said, tilting her head a little bit as she gazed at the boy she loved. He didn't look good, even if he tried covering it up. She wasn't fooled.

Sora kept his gaze down, not knowing how to respond to that. Of course Chris did more than that, on the beach. But Kairi didn't know that. "...After we left, Riku and I got in a fight," he said softly. "I'm upset about that." He wasn't lying when he said that; he was always sad when he and his brotherly figure fought.
Kairi arched an eyebrow at that. "You and Riku?" she asked, making sure she heard Sora correctly. They fought afterward? But why?

Sora nodded slightly, keeping his gaze down. "I was stupid and lost my temper," he said softly, knowing that he wasn't blowing things out of proportion. He was such an idiot, using Riku's title against him. Only looking back did he see how much it offended him.
"You've been losing your temper a lot lately," Kairi pointed out softly, remembering that Sora'd told her earlier he lost his temper as well. "Why is that?" She didn't like that Sora was getting angry so much; it was like a bad omen.

Sora looked down, knowing that Kairi was right. He really had been angry lately, especially the past day or so. "...I'm just stressed," he said softly. It was taking longer for him to get the Keyblade back than he expected, and he didn't like feeling so weak without it.
Kairi let her hand run over Sora's back then, in a small soothing motion. She didn't like to hear he was stressed, but it was expected. A lot was going on.

Sora felt Kairi's hand run over his back, and that encouraged him to keep speaking even if he didn't really want to admit his feelings. "I thought I would have the Keyblade back by now," he said softly. "What's taking it so long...?" He shut his eyes, sad.
Kairi felt her eyes soften at that. "Maybe, it'll come back when you really need it," she said. "There aren't any real threats, you know?" Chris was an exception, but he wasn't supposed to be handled with the Keyblade. That would have been...unnecessary.

"Maybe, but..." Sora opened his eyes, looking down. "...I feel incomplete without it. I miss it." He used it to do so much good, and it felt like it was a part of him. And now he was without it, and he didn't know when he would get it back.
"Your heart needs time to heal, Sora," Kairi told him quietly, still rubbing his back. She knew that he was missing the Keyblade; she saw it in him every day. But he had to be patient. The Keyblade was being that way with him.

"...Riku's a Keyblade Master now," Sora said softly. "And I can't even hold a Keyblade anymore. And...I want to follow in his footsteps, but I can't." He couldn't do it without the Keyblade.
Kairi felt herself be impacted by Sora's sadness, experiencing it within her own heart. "Sora..." she whispered, though she wasn't sure what to say. This was awful, seeing him like this. It broke her heart.

Sora felt like he ran out of words now, but he did keep thinking certain thoughts. We've always competed against each other, trying to top each other and all. But really, I was just trying to be like him. I was trying to be strong like him...Sora's thoughts went across his heart without his permission or knowledge, letting Kairi know what he was thinking.
Kairi blinked at the words that were sent through Sora's heart to hers, but by his face, she knew that he didn't know it was transmitted in the first place. "...Don't think like that," she said softly. He had so many reasons to set himself as his own individual.

Sora blinked when Kairi spoke, surprised. But then he realized what happened: Kairi heard the thoughts that were spoken through his heart. He sighed, lowering his head. She wasn't supposed to hear that...
"It's wonderful that you look up to Riku, and I can see why you do. He's a great person," Kairi admitted, lowering her head a little to try and get a better look at the boy she loved. "But Sora, you're an individual. And even if you've done a lot of things in the past just to be like Riku, you're a different person than him. You have some similarities, but in the end, you're you." She smiled weakly at him, bringing her hand on his back to his shoulder closest to her. "And that's the boy I love."

Sora kept his head lowered, and though he wanted to believe Kairi's words, he couldn't help but ask a question. "Why?" he asked softly, wondering why she loved him. "He's better at everything than I am. He's smarter, stronger, more mature..." Riku was an incredible person, and Sora didn't think he could live up to that.
"Riku's wise beyond his years. You both are, but he just has a little more information from his own experiences," Kairi reply gently. "And even if he does prove stronger physically, you have an incredibly strong heart, Sora. And in my opinion, that beats brawn any day."
  • Author
Sora didn't know what to say to that, so he just stayed silent. Kairi said he had a strong heart...Did he really, though? Clearly it wasn't strong enough to wield the Keyblade.
Kairi gazed at Sora gently, and when she saw that he wouldn't respond, she continued. "...You saved me, you know. My heart found you when it needed somebody to protect it. I don't think it could've chosen a better guardian," she said softly, a very faint smile on her lips as she gazed at the boy she loved.
  • Author
Sora felt touched by Kairi's words, and a faint smile appeared on his lips. That's right...He had managed to protect Kairi's heart years ago. And he still did, whether it was from physical danger or emotional. But, he couldn't do the former without the Keyblade...
"Riku may have tried in his own way, but he never did that, did he?" Kairi asked, wanting Sora to talk to her. She was trying to make a point; no matter how much Sora wanted to be like Riku, she didn't love Riku. She loved Sora, and only Sora.
