Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku fought the urge to hiss at how cold Lightning's body was, instead locking his jaw as he held Lightning close. He stepped away from the tub slightly and slowly began to lower her, making sure she had her footing before releasing her. Of course, he kept one arm around her waist as he reached for the towel, ignoring his own wet skin and instead focusing on hers. She had just been freezing to bring the fever down, but now her body needed to warm up. Riku would be sure to help with that.

Lightning had one arm wrapped around Riku's lower back to help her keep her balance as she stood on her feet. Considering the fact that she could hardly feel her feet, she did depend heavily on Riku to keep her upright. And the shivering was overwhelming too. She nearly lifted her free hand to grasp at Riku's opposite shoulder, but the sensible voice in the back of her head told her not to touch Riku further when she was freezing and soaking wet.

Riku wrapped the thick towel around Lightning's shoulders and made sure to pull it tight over her body, only releasing her to do the action. Once she was bundled up in the towel, he wrapped his arms back around her to try and warm her up, briefly realizing that his being shirtless would actually grant her more of his body heat. He mostly focused on getting her to stop shivering; he didn't really like to see it.

Light's eyes shut halfway as she was wrapped in the warmth of the towel and the warmth of Riku's arms. The warmth made her more sensible and mentally aware, so she realized what this must have been doing for Riku. "N-no," she shivered, refusing to wrap her arms around Riku and make him colder. "Y-you'll f-freeze..." She could go wrap herself in blankets and be fine; Riku didn't need to put himself through this for her sake.

"I made you sick in the first place," Riku said in Lightning's ear, running his hands up and down her back to help warm her up. "I don't care about being cold for a few minutes." He was the one who put Lightning in the bath anyway. It was his idea, so he would suffer whatever consequences came with warming her up. It was the least he could do.

"Riku, no," Lightning murmured. She lifted her hands and pressed them against his chest to get him to back off, but she had no strength to enforce her will. It was her own stupidity that got her sick, not Riku. And even if he did make her sick, she didn't want to make him freeze along with her. It wasn't fair.

"Lightning, let me do this," Riku requested in her ear, voice firm. He didn't care if he was getting cold. He didn't even care if he was wet. All he wanted was for her to be okay again. And not just physically, but mentally as well. He screwed with her and caused a rut in her relationship with Serah and Snow. Riku would pay the price for that, and if this was part of it, so be it. Riku needed to man up and take responsibility, even if he was drunk and didn't have control of himself the night before.

Light gritted her teeth, her hands curling slightly on Riku's chest. "L-let me change," she said, looking up to see Riku's stern face. He could help her warm up after she got into some dry clothes. If he wasn't going to give up on this, then it would be beneficial for both of them if she got out of the soaking-wet clothing.

Riku pulled back slightly to look at Lightning, and when he met her gaze, he hesitated. Just letting her go worried him. What if she collapsed again? No, he would be standing right outside her bedroom door as she changed. If she fell, he would hear it. "...Okay," he said, beginning to release her. He would let her change, and then he would help warm her up.

Lightning planted her feet firmly, reaching out a hand and grasping the sink to keep herself up. She couldn't very well cling to Riku, since he'd leave while she changed. She was still so frozen, but she reasoned with herself that if she could put up with five more minutes of it, it would start to get better. At least she didn't feel like she was going to pass out anymore.

Riku kept a hand on Lightning's back, gazing at her from his spot beside her. She could at least make it to the bedroom, right? It wasn't that far, only a few feet. All she had to do was get changed and then he would come back in and help her get to sleep. All she had to do was manage to get clothes on. That was it.

Lightning did make her way to the bedroom, and Riku made his way to the hallway. He already assured her that he would be standing right outside, not that she needed to be told that. Though she really wanted to put on layers of clothing, she knew that if she did, she'd overheat again. So she put on sweatpants and a plain T-shirt before she threw her wet clothes onto the bathroom floor. Despite everything, she still didn't feel very good...She sank down to one knee in front of her wardrobe, her back to the door as she tried to forget her dizziness.

Riku heard a faint thump from his place outside, and his eyebrows furrowed at the sound. "Lightning?" he called, knocking on the door. He waited a second to open the door, peeking in cautiously. That was when he saw her by the wardrobe, down on one knee and feeling miserable. He went to her side, staying calm despite his worries. He bent down next to her and lightly gripped her upper arm, starting to pull her to her feet. "You should lay down."

Light stepped in front of Riku, wrapping both of her arms over his shoulders to keep herself upright. "Bed's not..." She didn't bother finishing, figuring that the rest of obvious. The sheets may have been washed and dried, but they weren't put back on the bed--or so she thought. If she had been paying attention when changing, she would have seen that the bed was made and ready for her. But in her current mindset, she supposed that it was back to the couch, unless he took her to Serah's old bed.

"The bed's fine," Riku said, his arms resting on Lightning's lower back. "Snow made it for you earlier. Now c'mon, you need to rest." He shifted his hold on her, escorting her over to the bed and helping her lay down. He would rest with her, of course, since he still needed to recover from the night before. But first he had to help warm Lightning up; her body was still cold.

Claire laid down in the bed, not bothering to pull up the blankets that were at the end of the bed. Riku didn't say anything, but she knew that he was going to hop into  bed with her to help her overcome the cold. After all, he had wanted to take away all the cold right after her bath, so she was sure he would want to do that again now.

Riku climbed into bed with Lightning, pulling up the covers and settling in next to her. He made sure to tuck the blankets around her before he embraced her, keeping his promise of warming her up. Lightning's skin was still ice cold, despite her changing. Riku knew that was his fault, but at least her fever had gone down a bit. That was a plus.

Light automatically shut her eyes at the warmth that surrounded her, her body relaxing in Riku's arms. All day, she had been too hot. But now she was finally starting to get back to a more comfortable temperature. She sighed a quiet breath of comfort, whispering a quiet thank you to Riku as she felt exhaustion kick in.

"Mm," Riku hummed softly, his chin resting on top of Lightning's head as he gazed across the room. He was still bare-chested, so her cold skin caused chills to run up his spine, but he knew her being cold was his fault, so he took it. Riku closed his eyes as he tried to relax, keeping Lightning close and warm in the meantime. Once she was comfortable and asleep, he would take care of his own needs. She came first.

Lightning briefly opened her eyes in Riku's chest, her eyes landing on his bare chest. She could tell that he was cold just by looking at his chest, and he was tenser than usual. Sorry, she thought in silence, unaware that the word transferred to Riku. Even though he wanted to be like this and take the cold away from her, she still felt bad for freezing him.

Riku could tell that what he felt in his heart wasn't meant to reach him. Regardless, he pulled Lightning a little closer, using his body heat to warm her up a bit more. He didn't care about being cold; he'd suffered worse. He would be fine.

Light felt Riku pull her closer, and she fought the natural instinct to hug him in response. Though he was willing to be cold to warm her up, she wasn't going to make him suffer more by putting her hands on his back. She felt bad enough as it was, making him this frozen. But still, his warmth...It was so nice. So comfortable.

"Go to sleep, Light," Riku told the woman he loved gently. She needed to get her rest. The fever had gone down, and she already took her medicine and filled her stomach. Now it was time to sleep. She would feel better after she did.

Lightning fought even harder not to wrap her arms around Riku at his coaxing voice. Still, she managed to keep her eyes half-open as she looked at Riku's chest. "I'm making you cold," she mumbled audibly, her voice showing both bitterness and sadness. She didn't like to put him in such a position of discomfort, no matter what the circumstances were.

Riku smiled weakly, despite the fact that Lightning couldn't see it. "But I'm making you warm," he replied, actually speaking this time. That mattered more than being cold. Besides, he had the covers and she was already beginning to warm up. He'd be fine.
