Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Kairi rolled her eyes at her husband, only a little bit of her soup left. "Wait until the wedding gets closer," she said. "Naminé will be just as bad as I was about a month from the big day." Kairi had been losing her marbles when her wedding wasn't too far off. Naminé was stressing a bit now. She'd be worse later.

"Poor Roxas," Sora muttered, rubbing the back of his head with his hand. He knew how it was to be an upcoming groom. He wasn't stressed out with saying "I do" and he was sure Roxas wasn't either, but soon he'd start adopting Namine's stress and have to help out with the wedding. That wasn't too fun.

Riku chuckled softly, finishing off his soup with one more spoonful. Once he swallowed, he stood up to grab his friends' bowls. "That kind of stress is something I can wait on," he said with a faint smile. Was he hinting at marriage? Possibly, but surely his best friends already knew that he wanted to propose to Lightning. It would have to be a little while, considering what happened the night before, but they would get there eventually. Hopefully.

Sora wasn't oblivious to the hint at marriage, but it didn't occur to him that maybe he shouldn't make it more obvious. He spoke up anyway. "You'll probably have the worst stress of us all," he piped with a smirk. "Light doesn't look like the kind of girl who'd have fun planning a wedding." He glanced over at her and noticed her pink cheeks, figuring it was a blush.

Kairi's eyes widened when Sora spoke, and she whacked him in the shoulder, sending him a look of warning. Riku's reaction to this wasn't any better, since he decided to leave the room at that point. Now was no time to bring up marriage in front of Lightning. She seemed...off.

"What?!" Sora cried in his defense, looking over at Kairi. "It was obvious what he was talking about!" If he understood what it was, then Lightning must have understood, because she was a lot more intelligent than he was. "You got what he meant, right, Light?" She had to help him out somehow, or Riku was going to beat him up for this.

Light smiled weakly. "Yeah," she nodded. "I got it." Even with her clouded mind, she understood what Riku had been implying. They practically were engaged anyway, except for days like this when Kain crept back into the picture. Why did Serah have to bring him up?

"Sora!" Kairi hissed, leaning over and placing her smaller hand over his mouth. "Be quiet. Please." He was making this worse. Couldn't he tell that Lightning's reaction was...well, weird? Kairi understood that she was intelligent, so she obviously caught the hint, but she wasn't blushing. Kairi could tell from the moment she walked in that Lightning wasn't feeling well. Talk of marriage wouldn't help.

While Sora shot Kairi a look of bewilderment mixed with a little bit of hurt, Lightning stood up for him. "It's alright," she assured the pair, seeing Sora's eyes go over to her when she spoke. "Riku's dragging his feet because he doesn't want the stress. Didn't the stress make you gain a few pounds, Sora?"

Sora looked down at his stomach, setting a hand on it automatically. Of course it wasn't like he gained more than a pound or two...but he had to admit that he was starting to lose his six-pack. Naturally he wasn't offended by the comment, though. He would have spoken up to respond to it if Kairi's hand wasn't still over his mouth.

Kairi couldn't contain her chuckles at the comment, her hand falling from Sora's mouth as she leaned against his side in her amusement. Lightning was right; Sora did gain a few pounds, but he was still handsome, toned, and attractive. That would never change in Kairi's eyes.

"You know, there are perks to having a softer stomach," Sora said, wrapping an arm around Kairi's shoulders as he looked to Lightning. "It's a better pillow for the wife. I'm really packing on a few pounds for you, babe." The last sentence was obviously directed at Kairi, and when he finished, he leaned over and gave her a kiss on the side of her head for good measure.

Kairi only giggled again, closing her eyes at the kiss. "Your consideration is appreciated," she told him, her arm over his "soft stomach." He was still her Sora, no matter what. Even if the outside changed, his heart would always be the same. That was what mattered to Kairi...even if Sora's looks were a major plus.

"This is quite a sacrifice, you know," Sora continued with Kairi. "I need to stock up on plenty of sweets and junk food to get this stomach in perfect shape for you. I hope you appreciate all I do for you." He smirked at her, though he wondered in the back of his mind where Riku was. He just went to the kitchen to put away dishes, so he should have been back by now.

Kairi smiled and looked up at her husband, oblivious to his other thoughts concerning Riku. "I contribute to that, you know. My brownies and hot chocolate this time of year are pretty popular," she pointed out. She heard Roxas requesting them just the other day. Not that she was too surprised. Namine was best at cookies, Kairi at brownies.

"Glad we're working towards the same goal," Sora grinned. She was feeding him and he was eating it. He was just glad that he and all of his other friends didn't need to fight anymore against Heartless or anything. There were so many Keyblade wielders in the worlds that the threat basically disappeared. Now he didn't have to feel guilty about getting out of shape.

Riku returned to the kitchen in time to hear the last bit of the conversation. He took a seat in the available chair, crossing his arms over his chest as he looked to his best friends. "Maybe in a few years it'll be sympathy weight, huh Sora?" he asked, lifting an eyebrow. When he glanced over at Kairi, he saw her eyes twinkle. She got what he was getting at: pregnancy. Babies. A family.... Lydia.

This time, Sora was the one who blushed. "Yeah," he agreed, scratching at his head. Both he and Kairi wanted a family someday, but their first goal was to get a little more stable financially. Then they'd have a kid. Personally Sora was hoping for a boy that he could roll around in the mud with and play pirates with.

Riku gazed at Lightning when his friends were silent, when Kairi gazed up at Sora as the wheels in her head turned. He remembered the future he encountered with Lightning, one with Lydia. The girl he claimed as his niece, his godchild. He hoped she still existed in this future. He loved her already.

Sora looked down at Kairi, catching the look in her eyes. She wanted a family too, and they were both ready for it in their hearts, but they needed some stability. They wanted to be sure they could provide for their kid when they came into the world. He cleared his throat, looking over at Riku. "Well anyway, that's a long way off."

"I'd hope so," Riku said with a faint nod. "You two can barely take care of yourselves these days." They were still rocky financially. They'd only been married for half a year. They still had a long way to go before kids came into the picture.

  • Author

"I wouldn't say barely..." Sora contradicted. They were getting better. Kairi had a job and so did he, and they were doing a lot of saving up. Hopefully they could try for their first kid in a year...He and Kairi were both anxious for that part of their lives. He wondered about Riku though...He didn't seem like he would be a kid person on the outside, but Sora knew the opposite was true.

"We're working on it," Kairi said in her and Sora's defense. When Riku lifted an eyebrow and gave her that look, her eyes widened. "Not that, you perv! Our finances!" She grabbed a nearby pillow and chucked it at Riku, not moving out from underneath Sora's arm all the while. Riku caught the pillow easily, simply chuckling while Kairi's face burned in embarrassment.

Lightning did what Kairi couldn't from her distance away. She grasped the pillow on her side of the couch and threw it at Riku, knowing that because she was closer, it was more likely to hit him. There had been some space on the love-seat for him to sit next to her, but she figured he just took the first seat he saw open. It was a shame; it would have been easier to hit him if he was right next to her.

Riku grunted when he got hit in the head, and he shook it when he recovered. "Hey!" he called in protest, then throwing his pillow in Lightning's direction. He didn't throw it hard, of course; he knew she wasn't feeling well, and he wouldn't ever physically hurt her, especially on purpose.

Lightning didn't catch the pillow, though it thankfully hit her chest instead of her head. She gave Riku a look as she wrapped her arms around the pillow and also brought her legs up in front of her. "Rude," she taunted in silence, her expression the same as it was since she first got hit by the pillow.

Riku got the familiar sensation of Lightning's heart reaching his, and he smirked. "You still love me," he taunted back. Sometimes he wondered why she did, but that wasn't a thought to have now. Sora and Kairi were here. He had to act like everything was fine.
