Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Oh great, fun, Lightning thought. She wasn't at all good at letting go and having fun herself; what was she going  to do with the kid? Actually, there was a bigger question that was nagging at her: What would she end up doing with her own kid? How could she have a positive influence on her own child if she didn't know how to have fun? She groaned again, lifting her other hand to her face in stress.

Riku could sense the distress in Lightning's heart, and that upset him. He wasn't upset with her by any means, just the situation. She could do this. He knew she could. Didn't she have any memories of being with Ven, playing with him at all, or Serah? Like he said, things with kids usually came naturally for most people. If she needed help, he would offer it. Better yet, Kairi would. She was amazing with kids.

Lightning could tell by the silence that Riku didn't know what to do with her. That made two of them. She slowly lowered her hands from her face, rising to her feet at the same time. "I'm going to take a shower," she said quietly. It was late now and they should have been going to bed soon.

Riku nodded slightly and took his hand back, his eyes lingering on the woman he loved. She really was being too hard on herself. If she wanted to practice with other kids to build some confidence, he was sure Kairi would let her help out at the daycare. It wouldn't be too big of a deal.

Lightning took her shower and hoped that the warm water would wash away some of the tension. It at least gave her some silence to think. She couldn't have been that dense when it came to fun; Serah wouldn't have turned out alright if that was the case. She just needed to let go of this notion that she didn't know what fun was; she may not have experienced much of it growing up, but she would make sure Serah's kid did. I've got seven months to come up with fun things to do. That's enough time.

A couple weeks later

Riku approached Lightning's front door, sticking the house key she had recently gotten him into the lock. He fought the urge to shiver with how cold it had been on this world lately, but it was December, so it should have been expected. Christmas was around the corner, but for Riku, that wasn't his top priority. A little while ago, he had stopped by to check on Jazz when his parents told him she had been acting strange. He took her in afterwards, and now she was staying here in Bodhum with him and Lightning. He wasn't sure what was going on with her; she was agitated a lot, her appetite fluctuated, and she had gained a lot of weight. It worried him, but all he could do was keep an eye on her and hope for the best.

Lightning heard the front door open even though she was at the opposite side of the house and very occupied. She looked down at the dog on the ground, though Jasmine paid no mind to her. "Stay," she said, though she knew that Jazz wasn't going to move anytime soon. She left the dog in the room and headed towards the front door, calling out the name of the person she thought came in. "Serah?" she called, her tone off with worry. Serah was bound to be worried when she saw Lightning's appearance: she was wearing a pair of gray sweatpants and a blue long-sleeved shirt that was pulled up past her elbows. Aside from that, there were traces of blood on her arms and hands.

Riku stopped, having just shut the door when he heard Lightning's voice. And the off tone that was in it. "Riku," he called back, eyebrows furrowing. He started to take off his boots, then hanging up his coat. Lightning seemed a little worried, but why? Was it Jazz?

Lightning stepped into the entrance hall, seeing the person who addressed himself. She frantically called Serah a few hours ago when this all began, but her sister hadn't been in. She thought Serah got her voice mail but apparently not. "Oh, okay, well...Welcome back?" she tried, her voice still strained. She didn't really know what to say or how to break this news to Riku.

Riku's eyes darted over Lightning's form, spotting the blood immediately. He blinked. "...What's going on?" he asked in caution. She didn't have any cuts on her, from what he could see, so what was wrong? It was Jazz, wasn't it? Was she...dying?

Lightning smiled weakly. "I figured out what was wrong with Jasmine. Come on." She motioned for him to follow her, the young woman starting towards the laundry room. That was the only room that was suitable for Jasmine now; she created quite a mess this time, but it was a good mess. Riku would see soon why she was smiling despite her current tired, dirty body.

Riku did as Lightning requested, following her through the house. This had something to do with his dog, he knew it. But what was wrong with her? Or was anything wrong, considering Lightning had smiled? Riku noticed they were heading toward the other side of the house, so he guessed his questions would be answered in a minute.

Lightning didn't bother stepping in the doorway, knowing that would block Riku's view. It was quite a sight, even if she had been exposed to this for some time. Jasmine suddenly went into labor a few hours ago and had nine healthy puppies. Light had suspected that Jazz was pregnant when she first saw her, figured it was an unreasonable train of thought and let it go, and then was proven wrong today. It was alright with her though; Jazz was never sick, she was only pregnant. And now she brought life into the world, without much help from Lightning, since she had no clue what to do during the whole thing except reach in every once in a while to try and do something.

Riku stepped toward the laundry room, eyeing Lightning when she didn't go inside. "What?" he asked lowly, confused, but then he turned his eyes to the room. He grunted at the sight of puppies on the floor, cuddled up to Jazz's side. Little whimpers met his ears, and when he looked at Jasmine, he saw her cleaning the fur of one of her babies. Babies... Jazz had been pregnant this whole time? The dog looked up at him and yapped softly, to which he released a single-noted laugh. Puppies... Are you serious?

Lightning looked over at Riku, chuckling softly. His expression showed surprise as well as joy. "Welcome home," she repeated. "You missed a lot while you were gone." It had been scary since Light was so confused about what to do, but Jazz thankfully did know. Motherly instinct, she supposed.

Riku glanced over at Lightning, his lips still parted in awe. He couldn't help but smile as he placed a hand on her shoulder, then looking back to the little creatures on the floor. Jazz was a mother... That was so bizarre. She was only a few years old! He guessed he could both blame and thank his parents for this; clearly Jazz wasn't completely looked after while he was gone.

Light looked back at the dogs when Riku did, a faint smile still on her lips. "Guess these are Jazz's wild years," she mused. "Getting pregnant like this..." She figured it wasn't possible for Jasmine to be pregnant because she thought she wouldn't come into contact with other male dogs with nobody watching, but apparently she slipped away from Riku's parents sometime.

Riku chuckled softly, stepping forward into the room and kneeling down next to his dog. He lightly rubbed her head, looking from her to the babies gathered around her belly. "...Kairi is going to freak over this," he said, that being one of the many thoughts running through his head. Kairi loved puppies. As soon as she heard about this, she would be over in a heart beat. "Serah too."

"No kidding," Light agreed with a smirk. She too stepped into the room, kneeling down beside Riku. The mess was mostly cleaned up now that all the puppies were born partly thanks to Jazz and partly thanks to Light. Obviously she never saw puppies born before, so today was quite an adventure. Even if they were just out of the womb, they were cute little things.

Riku let his hand fall from Jazz's head, instead moving the other to lightly touch one of her babies. He ran his index finger lightly over the black fur, smiling stupidly. This was so cool... Even if he was twenty-one, this still fascinated him. He'd never seen anything like it. The miracle of life was a magical thing.

Light looked over at Riku, unable to keep her eyes off of him for too long. Yeah, the puppies were adorable and so was Jasmine as she took care of them, but Riku looked so...free of worry. He had been really concerned over Jazz lately and now he was experiencing the child-like joy of seeing new life. She couldn't help but lean her head on his shoulder in hopes of his joy connecting to her further.

Riku turned his head, gazing at Lightning before he kissed her head of pink hair. "Thank you," he said softly. She helped Jazz, he guessed, which would explain the blood on her skin. She didn't have to do that, but she did. He didn't have to thank her, but he did. Lightning was probably freaking out the whole time, which got him smiling slightly. She was the best.

"What're you thanking me for?" Light asked then, her gaze now on the pups. She really didn't do anything, in her eyes. Yeah, she made sure Jasmine had water, towels and room to do what she had to do, but that wasn't much. Jazz definitely did all the hard work today.

"You got your hands dirty, for one," Riku said with a smirk, his eyes finding Lightning's arms. But then he found the pups again. "And you took care of her for me." Jazz relied on Riku to survive, and now, Lightning. She wasn't just Riku's dog anymore; she was Lightning's too.

"I tried," Lightning agreed softly, though a small smirk was still on her lips. "I think she would have had it under control whether I was here or not." Jasmine knew exactly what to do despite the fact that she never had puppies before. That was good for Lightning, who freaked out the whole time and worried about letting the dog die during labor.
