Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku released a small "hmph" in agreement, running his index finger lightly over another puppy's back. "Mother's intuition," he added. Jazz knew what to do automatically, and while that was in her blood, he believed it was the same for humans as well. A while ago, Lightning had been afraid for how she would act around her future niece or nephew. She would be fine. It would come to her naturally, and maybe--just maybe--if the two of them raised a child together, the situation would be the same.

Lightning hummed quietly in agreement. She took her head off Riku's shoulder as she leaned forward, one of her fingers touching a puppy. "It's funny," she said softly. "I was just telling Kairi at Thanksgiving that I wanted a dog or two..." Now she and Riku had ten dogs. That was more than she initially wanted, but she'd deal with it for now.

Riku couldn't help but chuckle. "We've got a lot more than that on our hands now," he said, his eyes finding Lightning. "Knowing Kairi, she'll beg to keep one." And they would let her, of course. It was Sora that Kairi would have to convince, after all, since any decisions in a marriage were made together. Regardless, they would have these puppies for a while. Riku and Lightning would have to get used to the cleanliness now, before it got crazy with all these dogs.

Lightning looked over and met Riku's eyes with a childlike expression unlike herself. "And what about me?" she asked then. "Do I have to beg to keep one?" Or would Riku just let her keep a puppy without forcing her to plead for one. Maybe she wasn't a huge puppy person; she liked dogs that were full grown and able to do things with, but these were Jazz's puppies, so of course she didn't want them to disappear and go to strangers.

Riku turned his head, smirking. "I figured you would keep one anyway," he said, lightly nudging her with his shoulder. Lightning didn't have to ask, of course. He assumed they would keep at least one for themselves, but also for Jazz. Losing her babies would be hard on her.

Light smiled softly, nodding. "Then how about two?" she asked then, lightly nudging another puppy's nose when he squirmed over towards her. She allowed her eyes to rest on that puppy instead of Riku, her gaze naturally drawn to the little things that were so demanding of affection just from their appearances.

"Let's not take on more than we can handle," Riku said, lifting his eyebrow. His eyes found the puppies again, and Jazz as she rested. She had to be tired. Delivering nine puppies couldn't have been easy, even if she knew what to do naturally. Women were exhausted after one, usually. Maybe they needed to leave Jazz and the puppies be.

Lightning's small smile faded away as she looked towards Riku once more. She reached for one of his hands and held it between hers, her eyes locking onto his immediately. "Two," she requested again quietly. She didn't want to completely split up the family. Though she may not have seemed to be the compassionate type, she was placing herself in these puppy's paws. She knew that she wouldn't want to be separated from her sibling, so she assumed this little guy she was nudging felt the same.

Riku glanced from the puppies to the hand locked into his. Meeting Lightning's eyes, he detected the seriousness immediately. She meant it; she really wanted two puppies. Three total. "...Okay," he replied with a nod. Two puppies it was.

Lightning blinked in surprise when Riku met her request. She expected him to not agree to her whims or understand any of her thinking. Maybe he didn't understand, but he comprehended enough to know that she had some serious reasons for wanting more than one pup. She smiled weakly in gratitude, her eyes falling back to Jazz. "One big happy family," she said softly, though she wasn't sure if she was referring to Jasmine and her puppies or her, Riku and their new dogs.

Riku smiled, keeping his hand in Lightning's. He gave it a small squeeze. "What makes you want two, anyway? I thought you only wanted two dogs tops," he stated. She meant it, with wanting to keep two puppies. He didn't mind, but they would have their hands full. He hoped they could handle it.

Lightning couldn't look at Riku, knowing her answer was too serious and could take away some of the happiness. "I don't like the idea of siblings being separated," she said quietly. "And I know we can't keep all of them together, so I thought maybe if we could just keep two..." He got the picture. When her mother died, Lightning was always afraid some social worker would take Serah away from her and she'd be all alone with no reason to live. Yes, the circumstances were very different with the puppies, but her feelings were the same.

Riku separated his hand from Lightning's and instead rested it against the back of her neck. He leaned over, placing a kiss to her temple. "Like I said," he replied lowly, smiling ever so slightly, "two it is." He understood. Lightning wanted this, so she would get it. Two puppies, two siblings and their mother. It worked for him.

Light's small smile remained as she closed her eyes. "Thank you," she said quietly. Thank  you for understanding--for not teasing me about these irrational feelings of mine and for making me feel reassured about my choice. She didn't mean for the words to transfer to Riku's heart, though it wasn't anything that he shouldn't have heard in the first place.

Riku felt Lightning's emotions and words impact him, which had him eyeing her longer. She felt relief, comforted, but there was no reason for her to be uneasy beforehand. He meant what he said. Riku let his other hand come over and turn Lightning's chin toward him, the young man then placing a kiss to her lips. She had nothing to worry about. He adored her, so she would get anything she wanted out of him.

Light already had her eyes shut, and they remained that way when Riku turned her face and kissed her. She turned slightly and wrapped her arms behind his neck, leaning into the kiss and disregarding the other ten beings in the small room for the moment.

Riku smiled slightly behind the kiss, his hand cupping Lightning's cheek now as the other rested on her back. He kissed her gently for another moment before retreating, opening his eyes and brushing her hair away from her face. "You have me wrapped around your finger, you know that? Anything you want, you'll get," he told her softly. Lightning was a big part of Riku's life now. If not his whole life. She had an even bigger impact on him than Sora and Kairi these days.

Lightning knew the words were serious, but she smirked because of one of her trains of thought. "Oh?" she said quietly. "So you would have given me all nine puppies if I asked?" Of course, she knew that was pushing it; he was reluctant to even take two. There was no way he would have taken all of them.

"Possibly," Riku said with a crooked smile. "It all depends on how we handle them for the next few months." They would have the puppies for a while. They would have to see how they functioned with the responsibility, but Riku highly doubted that nine puppies would work out.

Lightning peeked her eyes open to look at Riku, a small half-serious smile on her lips. "It'd be an adventure," she stated quietly. They were on plenty of adventures together, but this one was something else entirely. It wasn't the kind of adventure where life or death were on the line; this was the kind of adventure she wanted now.

"We'll see," Riku said, leaning forward and placing a kiss to Lightning's forehead. He then leaned back to retreat, not that he could do much with Lightning's arms locked around his neck. They needed to give the new mother and her puppies some space.

Lightning noticed Riku pull back, and she got the message. She took back her own arms and stood up, glancing from the dogs to Riku. "I'm going to get cleaned up," she sighed, looking back down at her arms. She definitely wanted a full shower to clean up the blood, though there really wasn't that much of it. She had been in far worse shape with cleaning up blood before.

Riku rose to his feet as well. He nodded slightly and stepped out of her way, motioning for her to head on out. He would make sure Jazz had enough food and water to last her a few hours, then get busy with something else. He imagined Lightning would call Serah soon to let her know the news.

Christmas Day

Lightning dodged a wandering puppy, hardly avoiding stepping on his fragile back as she grabbed a plate off the counter. It was early afternoon now and everyone invaded her home. The gang from Destiny Islands was here and so was her family from Cocoon. All in all, it was about over ten people squished into her living room who were waiting for the snack tray that she was trying to get out. She was playing host today, not that she felt very good at it as she ducked past Snow's flailing arm to place the tray on a table. Naturally Sora and Roxas pounced on it instantly.

Kairi sat on the floor in a sweater and jeans, holiday socks on her feet as she rested Indian-style. Her eyes were alight with glee as she watched the puppies run around. They were fenced in around the main area of the living room, but one managed to slip by and sneak into the kitchen. She caught Riku go retrieve it out of the corner of her eye, meanwhile cooing at a puppy that pounced on her lap. "Aww, hi!" she squealed, cuddling the puppy to her chest. They were all so cute!
