Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning faced Riku head on after she set the sleeping puppy down on the porch. Thankfully, he didn't wake up with any of her movements. She lifted her bare hands to his warm cheeks and gazed into his eyes for a few moments before she leaned forward and connected her lips with his in a kiss. "I do too."

Riku wasn't used to Lightning communicating with his heart, especially when her emotions impacted his own. It was a new experience for him, but when she kissed him and silently told him she wanted the same, his heart soared. He kissed her back, one of his hands coming up to rest on her waist. She wanted kids...with him? He assumed that was what she meant, but this was huge.

Lightning nearly smiled at Riku's emotions, since they impacted her heart just as much as t hey rested in his. She didn't make this confession lightly. But now that the future was bright and full of hope, she was too. She wanted to bring a child into this world.

Riku pulled back from the kiss after another long moment, chuckling softly as he rested his forehead against Lightning's. If Sora or Kairi heard that confession, Riku was sure he would never hear the end of it. But he knew that those two would try for a baby soon enough; it was just a matter of time. Now, Riku knew that the same was for him and Lightning, after she said yes.

Light smirked softly, her eyes remaining shut as she took in Riku's silent expression of emotions. "Careful," she whispered. "Your soft side is showing." "And it's cute." He said that her soft side was cute, but his was the same, even if he was tall and muscular.

Riku chuckled more, both at the verbal and silent words. He leaned forward and placed a kiss to Lightning's lips again. "I love you," he declared lowly after pulling back from the kiss. Riku never doubted that Lightning would accept his proposal, but this just confirmed it. Marriage, then kids. It was so bizarre.

"Love you too," Lightning responded in a quiet murmur. She couldn't say she always loved him since they had a rocky start, but she loved him now, and once she started loving him, she couldn't stop. She tried to stop loving him before, but it was impossible. They were meant to be together.

Kairi looked up briefly from her spot by the puppies, and it just so happened that she looked at the porch when she did. She caught Riku and Lightning having a moment, and whatever Lightning just said, it had Riku smiling. Those two were going to get engaged soon, she just knew it. It helped that Riku asked her and Sora for their opinion on a few of his ideas, but that was months ago. It was bound to happen now that things were back to normal with everyone. Actually, better than normal. Everyone couldn't be happier.

Everyone played around in the snow for a little while, building snowmen, throwing snowballs at each other and playing with the puppies. Sora eventually spurred Aqua to create their own ice-rink, and she just finished that. It would be perfect for hockey, just as soon as they found nets that they could use. He was stoked.

Riku walked with Lightning over to the new skate rink, where he saw Roxas quickly strapping on his skates. The blond was more than ready to get on the ice, even if he had little experience compared to Riku on the ice. Regardless, he could see that Kairi was anxious to get on it too, albeit somewhat nervous. Aqua, on the other hand, started skating away, as graceful as ever. Riku only smirked, his hand in Lightning's as he watched his friends enjoy the season. He would be on the ice soon enough.

Lightning squeezed Riku's hand as they stood beside the rink, her eyes following the people that were already on the ice. "Why don't you head out?" she suggested. "I'll skip this one." Though she had skates that would fit her (Serah's skates), Lightning didn't know how to ice skate at all. She never tried before.

Riku's eyes found Lightning then, and he blinked. "You don't wanna skate?" he asked. She seemed all for the idea earlier, though he might have misinterpreted; maybe she was excited for everyone else. Did she not want to skate, or did she not know how? Lightning, agile and graceful Lightning, not knowing how to skate was shocking, if it was even true.

Light glanced down towards one of the stray puppies subconsciously as decided it was best just to tell the truth. "I don't...I mean...I never learned how to..." She was a little embarrassed to admit that she didn't know how to skate; it was something everyone knew how to do. Then again, she was very different from "everyone".

Riku smirked slightly. "Really?" he asked, lifting an eyebrow. That was...cute. Lightning was all kinds of adorable today, but that was more than okay. It was Christmas after all. "I guess that means I'll just have to teach you." They hadn't opened gifts yet, but this could be one form of a present.

Claire lifted her eyes over to Riku, meeting the mirthful look he wore. "I don't want to hold you back though," she said quickly. "Everyone's probably waiting for you." Sora and Kairi looked for an extra opportunity to hang out and play with Riku whenever they could, since he was on Cocoon a lot of days.

Riku shrugged slightly. "So? They can wait a little while longer," he insisted. He wanted to teach Lightning how to skate. Besides, everyone needed some warm up time anyway, before the hockey game started. "Go get your skates." He was excited to teach her.

Lightning saw that Riku wasn't going to give this up, and because it was Christmas, she decided to humor him. She smiled weakly and walked back to her home, finding her skates instantly and returning to Riku's side. She was probably going to make a fool of herself, but if Riku was happy, she'd be a fool for him.

Riku was already on the ice, skating around a small curve of the homemade rink when he spotted Lightning. Kairi whizzed right past him, getting the hang of it once more. At his surprised expression, she simply waved and continued her gliding. Roxas was busy setting up the hockey nets, and Aqua twirled gracefully in the center of the rink. Riku, on the other hand, made his way over to Lightning in the meantime. It was time for her lesson.

Light sat down on a chair they placed by the rink, starting to slip off her boots so that she could put on the skates. Fang, Vanille, and Noel were all around, and she figured Fang at least would tease her for being graceless for once. But like she reasoned with herself earlier, if skating with Riku made him happy, she'd do it.

Riku skidded to a halt near the snow, making sure that he didn't kick up any ice with the move. He looked at Lightning and smirked, excited for this. He would finally be able to teach her something new, and he would get to hold her close. Of course, he bet this was going to be amusing. She would probably fall, and bring him down with her.

"You're such a show-off," Light said to Riku as she began to tie up her laces. She obviously never saw him skate before, but that didn't mean that he wasn't skilled at it. It seemed like he was great at everything he picked up; he was lucky it all came so easy to him.

Riku rolled his eyes, chuckling lowly. "And you're a slow poke. Need help with those laces?" he asked, lifting an eyebrow. It could get complicated, but he figured Lightning could handle it. If not, he would assist her. He was pretty quick with it.

  • Author

"I can at least do this," Lightning said as she rolled her eyes in response. However, the truth was that the laces were taking her a while. She understood how to lace them up, but she was going slowly because this was her first time actually doing it. She never even laced up Serah before.

Riku shook his head and started forward, stepping through the snow in his skates and balancing easily. He bent down in front of Lightning and grasped her hands, stopping her. "You're doing it wrong," he told her both teasingly and jokingly. He would show her how.

Lightning glanced down at her skates, checking them over with her eyes. "Am not," she teased right back. She may not have done it before, but she still knew what skates were supposed to look like when they were laced up right. But if Riku wanted to intervene, she wouldn't stop him. This was his time to get what he wanted; later, she'd get what she wanted when they drank hot chocolate together in front of the fireplace.
