Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning's eyes had been wide ever since the moment she heard Roxas's holler. She didn't even know how to act on instinct when she was on the ice, and either way, Riku's grasp on her hands was way too tight for her to slip away when he fell down. She fell right along with him, though she at least aimed for the ice beside his body so she wouldn't elbow him in the stomach when she came down. Unfortunately, she elbowed the ice instead.

Riku managed to wrench his hand out of Lightning's and keep her head from hitting the ice. As for her elbow, no such luck. "Roxas!" he scolded, looking over and seeing the blond pushing himself out of the pile of snow he managed to hit.

"I'm sorry!" Roxas cried, brushing the snow off his coat. "It was an accident, I swear!" He stepped back on the ice, gliding over to be next to Lightning. "You okay, Light?" He hadn't meant to hurt her, or anyone for that matter. He just misinterpreted the distance.

Light began to sit herself up, though she wisely didn't use the arm she landed on to help her up. That was throbbing pretty badly. "I'm alright," she said pretty calmly. "Don't worry about it." She didn't want Riku biting Roxas's head off because of a mistake, nor did she want Roxas feeling too guilty. These things happened.

Roxas dug into one of his pockets, where he kept a small vile of a potion. He held it out for Lightning to take. "Here. Just in case," he offered with a faint, sheepish smile. It was the least he could do, considering he caused whatever injuries she may have had. It was an accident.

"I'm fine, seriously," Lightning said, shaking her head. "Besides, you should keep that for the hockey game." She looked at Riku, who was still a bit peeved, before she looked back to Roxas. Riku was going to get some kind of payback in the game, or just be rough in general. Either way, he'd be needing that potion.

Riku and Roxas made eye contact before he smirked. "She's right, you know," he agreed with a nod. "Besides, I've got magic. I can take care of it. Just watch where you're going next time." He didn't want Lightning getting any worse injuries when she was still learning.

Roxas put his potion back in his pocket and gave Riku a mock-salute. "You got it, chief," he said with a faint smile. He then lowered his arm, looking to the woman beside Riku on the ice. "Good luck, Lightning." He waved and then skated off, making sure to watch where he was going this time.

Lightning hmphed at Roxas, watching him go. She would need all the luck that she could get at this rate; she wasn't even able to skate with her knees bent. She set a hand on the ice and slowly tried to stand up, her hurt arm dangling by her side. It wasn't that bad, so she was just going to ignore it. It'd get better in a few minutes.

Riku wordlessly stood up beside Lightning, though he made sure to grasp her injured arm carefully. It was then that he called to a Cure spell, seeing her elbow briefly glow green as he healed her. They would get back to the skating when she was ready.

Lightning glanced at her glowing elbow before she looked back to Riku, giving him a look. "It wasn't that bad," she said. Yeah, it hurt, but she experienced far worse pain in her life. She supposed that if it had been Kairi or Namine that fell, they would have been close to tears just because they were less accustomed to pain than she was, but that was beside the point.

"So?" Riku asked with a shrug. "It's better to learn without pain on your mind anyway." He held out his hands to her and looked her in the eye. "Ready to get back to it?" Riku wanted Lightning to enjoy the ice instead of just sitting by. Snow was with Serah and simply watched, but Riku assumed it was because he didn't know how to skate either. But he would let the others think differently.

Lightning met his eyes and nodded. "Ready," she said simply. She grasped both of his hands once more, though this time, she took the chance to look around and see if anybody was near them. It wasn't that she didn't trust Riku; it was that she didn't trust that everyone on the ice was paying attention to them.

Kairi was playfully skating in circles around Sora, humming to herself as she quietly taunted him. If he decided to come after her, she would run, but he would easily catch her. Besides, she didn't want to hurt anyone like Roxas accidentally did to Riku and Lightning. Speaking of, Kairi glanced over in that general direction and saw the couple getting back to it again. It was sweet of Riku to teach Lightning; he wouldn't have had the patience for anybody else to learn, unless it was one of his close friends of course. But once again, Lightning was incredibly special.

Light eventually began to get the hang of it. Though it felt like it was a while for her, she was actually learning faster than the average person was. She carefully slipped her single hand out of Riku's, her balance and forward momentum maintained for now because he had been pulling her along a second ago.

Riku maneuvered to the side of Lightning when she released one of his hands. Instead of skating in front of her, he now glided along the ice beside her. "There you go!" he said with a wide smile, holding her hand as he went at her pace. She was doing really well. She would be skating on her own in no time. Of course, when they got to hockey, she could take a breather. Riku didn't want her on the ice when people were being rough anyway.

Lightning found herself smiling softly in confidence, her eyes darting around. Riku wasn't pulling her along at all; this was all her now. Finally, she was self-sufficient on the ice! Naturally something was going to ruin that, though it wasn't Roxas this time. It was the puppy that clung to her earlier and fell asleep in her arms, though he was wide away now as he slid across the ice right in front of her. Her eyes widened as she quickly skidded to a halt, though she then proceeded to fall backwards with her balance lost.

Riku attempted to catch Lightning, stopping when she did and trying to get behind her. Instead of staying on his feet, he fell too. Lightning didn't hit the ice, though; she fell on top of him while he landed on his back. "Ow..." he hissed, back throbbing. That was uncomfortable. They should have made sure the puppies were fenced off from the rink.

"Ouch," Lightning agreed. She landed on her back as well, though she also landed atop of Riku. "You good?" Before she got a response from him, she felt the puppy climb up one of her arms and rest on her torso, giving her licks on the face as she fought the urge to groan.

"Not as good as him," Riku said, referring to the puppy. He rested on his elbows, looking at the woman whose head rested on his stomach. "You?" He figured that she was a little better than he was, but to be sure this didn't happen again, he would put the puppies back inside. Having them around when they were playing hockey was a bad idea.

"I'm good," she said, shutting her eyes as she simply allowed the puppy to lick her face with his tiny tongue. "Mind if we stay here a minute?" She didn't feel like getting up; learning how to skate was actually pretty tiring, as was falling down multiple times.

"Yeah, good with me," Riku said, glad that they were near the edge of the rink. Aqua and Kairi were giggling as they skated around, and Roxas and Sora were finally getting the last of the hockey stuff set up. It would be time to play soon. Maybe they needed to wrap up this skating lesson.

After a minute, Lightning lifted the dog off her chest and placed it on Riku's instead. Though the pup was dismayed as Lightning began to sit herself up, he kept himself occupied with licking Riku's face when he was in the right position. That was their wild dog, though he didn't have a name yet. None of the puppies did.

"Okay, okay," Riku said, turning his face away from the tiny tongue. "I think it's time the pups went back inside." He placed a hand against the puppy to keep it to his chest before he too sat up. He looked over at Lightning and lifted an eyebrow as the puppy licked at his chin. The puppies had been out long enough, and so had Jazz.

"Yeah," Light agreed. She set a hand on the ice and slowly pushed herself up, having had enough practice by now that she could at least stand up on her own. Even so, there was a chair just a few feet away that she could grab. She stepped forward and grabbed it with one of her hands, relieved as she walked around to the front of it and sat herself down. Off the ice, finally.

Riku pushed himself up to his feet easily, looking around. The girls were off the ice, so he figured he could use their help. "You guys mind giving me a hand?" he called, motioning to the puppy in his hand. He caught Kairi nod as she slipped her boots back on, clearly done skating for now. Aqua was already picking a stray up as it ran past her feet. This would get done quickly.

After a few minutes of rounding up puppies, Lightning finished unlacing her shoes. It took her that long because Riku did them very tight, to the point where it was hard to get them off. Even so, she was a bit disappointed she had to take them off at all. She had been hoping to be good enough to play hockey in the game, but since she could barely stand alone on the ice, that was out of the question. She finally slipped off the other shoe as the guys started onto the ice, her focus on putting her boots back on.
