Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Roxas slid onto the ice just after Riku, a hockey stick in his hands. "Do we have even teams?" he asked, glancing behind him to see who was coming on. There was him, Sora, Riku, Ven, Terra, Hope, and Noel, as far as guys went. Snow was hanging out with Serah at the moment, not that Roxas was surprised. Did any of the girls want to play?

"Go get 'em, Fang!" Vanille cheered as her best friend skated her way onto the ice. She beamed at the pictures in her head, ones where Fang was tougher than all the men on the ice. She really was a force to be reckoned with.

"What?" Riku grunted, looking from Vanille to Fang as she slid onto the ice. And she did it expertly. "...You're kidding." He already knew that they were going to get beat up by a girl, even if she did have brute strength. Fang scared Riku to a point. Going against her was going to be bad for anyone who stood in her way.

"Don't be too scared, boys," Fang said with a smirk. She took a stick that Roxas tossed to her, and she shrugged. "I can take a hit." She was one of the toughest on Gran Pulse in her time. She wasn't scared.

Lightning rose from  her seat, standing in her boots once more as she faced the rink. "Careful, old-timer," she taunted to Fang. She was technically over five-hundred years old, though she didn't age at all when she was frozen in her crystal. Nevertheless, the joke was too fitting to pass up.

Hope chuckled at the joke, but once Fang shot him a playful glare, he smiled sheepishly. "Uh...team captains?" he suggested, gliding across the ice to stand next to Ven. He was sure Sora or Riku would be one, since the hockey was their idea. Hope himself was familiar with the sport, since he had the chance to play it a little in Palumpolum. He was pretty good defense.

After several hours of playing in the snow, everyone finally came inside. A lot happened since they first began skating on the rink. The hockey game lasted a long time (and ended because most of the guys were too scared to start another game with Fang in the ring with them). After that, they began games of "crack the whip" and "blob tag." Both were childish, but Lightning had fun nonetheless. Fun was a foreign concept until Riku came into her life. I'm so thankful for him, she thought as she sat on the floor between his legs. Not only was he a good boyfriend, but he was also a good heater.

Riku let his arms wrap over Lightning's torso as he sat near one end of the couch, his back against it while Sora and Roxas took up the cushions and saved some seats for Kairi and Namine, who were beginning to pass out gifts. Riku was sore from the beating he took from hockey...and Fang. She was a woman, but she wasn't a force to be reckoned with. She shouldered him hard at one point, which sent him sliding on his back across the ice. After two games, hockey was through. It was safe to say that Sora's team won since she was on the team; Riku's team eventually kept their distance and there was no point in playing anymore. Now it was time to warm up, and with Lightning's help, Riku doubted it would take long.

Namine stood in front of her boyfriend, holding out a small box for him. "Roxas," she said simply, holding it out for him to take. She knew that they had an agreement that they wouldn't get each other gifts this year to save up for the wedding, but she couldn't resist getting this nice new watch for him. She was sure that he'd like it.

Roxas glanced from the small box to his fiancee. "...Thank you," he replied softly, nodding. They agreed no gifts, but that clearly didn't work out. On either side. He got her something too: a new sundress for her to wear when it got warm again. It was "vintage," or so the saleswoman said. But he knew once he saw it that Namine would look great in it.

Lightning looked over both her and Riku's shoulders as people began to open the gifts they were given. This wasn't a formal occasion where everyone was going one at a time; as soon as they had their gifts, they were opening them. Her gaze was on Hope, who was opening the new boomerang that she, Snow, and Serah worked together to get for him. Snow and Serah paid for the parts and Lightning crafted the weapon. It was a hobby that she took up and began to enjoy.

Kairi glanced up as she tore at her wrapping paper, hearing Hope's gratitude toward his friends as he gazed at his boomerang. Everyone was opening gifts and...happy. Months ago, happiness didn't seem possible because of Valhalla. But now things were different. They were better than ever. She smiled to herself and heard Roxas's amazed "Namine" after opening his gift, but she was doing the same with her own. It was from Riku and Lightning, but what could they have gotten her? She never really decided what she wanted this year; she had everything she needed.

As Kairi opened the gift from her and Riku, Light felt a little uneasy. It was a....sentimental gift. She normally wasn't the sentimental type. It was actually Riku's idea that they give Kairi an empty picture frame with a note in it saying "ask about part two." Part two was...Riku was going to borrow Namine's camera and take a picture of Kairi and Lightning for the frame. They were going to be sisters someday, after all.

Kairi looked at the elegant frame in silence, running her fingertips over the silver. It was beautiful, but then she felt the note tucked behind it in the box. She read it, her eyes then finding the couple. "Part two?" she asked, curious. What was part two?

Riku couldn't help but smirk, gazing up at Kairi from his place on the floor before his eyes found the woman he loved. "I'll get Namine's camera," he told her lowly, then kissing her cheek. Lightning could get into position with Kairi in the meantime. Hopefully Kairi wouldn't squeal, though; that would hurt the puppies' ears.

Lightning scratched the side of her head, rising to her feet. "It was Riku's idea..." she muttered loudly enough for Kairi to hear and understand. "He thought, well, we thought...That we need a picture of us." By "us", Lightning meant her and Kairi alone. They were starting to become closer friends now than they ever had been before, and everyone knew by now that Lightning and Riku were devoted to each other. That meant that Lightning was part of the family and Kairi was her sister.

Kairi's eyes brightened. "Really?" she gasped. She caught Namine handing Riku her camera a few feet away, and once he had it, he sent her a wink. She grinned instantly. "Aww, thank you!" The frame was beautiful, but the sentiment was even better. She loved it.

Light smirked, though the smile was a genuine one. She was glad that she and Kairi were at a point where they could comfortably stand beside each other and socialize. Lightning didn't have anything against Kairi--it was just that the two of them were very different people. But they had enough in common that they could be friends.

Riku urged Kairi to get up and stand next to Lightning, and the redhead leaped to her feet. Lightning was only slightly taller than Kairi, so she easily got into position next to the pink-haired woman and placed a hand on her back as she faced the camera. Riku was ready with the camera, though he was no professional.

Serah looked over at her sister for a moment, smiling genuinely as Lightning did likewise for the camera. She and Snow had such a hard time figuring out what to get for both Lightning and Riku. Neither of them were very materialistic people who needed anything. She and Snow had a special gift planned for only Riku, and they would pull him away after the picture was done to give it to him in private.

Kairi didn't pull away completely once Riku handed the camera back to Namine. Instead, she turned and hugged Lightning. She really appreciated the gift. There was a lot of thought put into it, too much for Kairi, but she really did like it. "Thank you," she told the woman gently. "This means a lot."

Lightning should have been prepared for the hug; Riku warned her it was likely to come out of the circumstances. She hummed and after a moment, she put Kairi in a light embrace. That was a big step forward for Light. "You're welcome," she said, not noticing Serah tap Riku on the shoulder and tell him to follow her and Snow for a minute.

Riku had been watching Lightning and Kairi's exchange, but at Serah's tap, he had to look away. He saw that Snow was waiting by a doorway, and Riku suddenly felt his stomach knotting up. He nodded and followed Serah out of the room, slipping away without notice.

Serah's old bedroom was neat and tidy, as she expected from Lightning. She liked a clean house, and Serah liked to take advantage of the quiet room every once in a while. She was the last to enter it, shutting the door once Snow and Riku were in. This gift was for Riku only, for now.

Riku sat himself down on the bed, rubbing at his neck. "Uh...should I be worried?" he asked, smiling sheepishly. A few days ago, he finally got the guts to ask Serah and Snow for their blessing in his next chapter with Lightning: an engagement, and marriage. He especially needed to ask Serah, since she was Lightning's sister. Riku had been completely serious with everything he told them--that he would protect her and love her and cherish her for the rest of his life--but they got interrupted before he got his answer. This had to be what the meeting was about.

"Terrified," Serah corrected with a smirk. But of course, Riku really had no reason to be afraid. If he did, he would know. "We never got a chance to finish our conversation the other day. Why don't you start from the beginning?" She wanted to hear one more time what Riku had to say before she and Snow gave their response.

Riku's smile softened. "...Right," he agreed with a nod. He lowered his gaze as his smile slowly faded, feeling his heart grow warm as he thought about all of his goals again. All of them involved Lightning, as did his dreams. "...Lightning is very special to me, you both know that," he began, eyes locking onto the couple opposite him. "And I know she means a lot to the both of you, too. You're her family, and she trusts your judgment, which is why I need to have this conversation with you." Riku smirked slightly, his aquamarine eyes darting to the oldest in the room. "Snow, say there's this moment where all of your dreams come true. Who's standing next to you?"

Snow smiled instantly, looking over at his wife. "Serah," he said, wrapping his arm around her shoulder. The one person he wanted next to him was Serah, always.

"Serah?" Riku asked then, referring to the question. Who did she see beside her?
