Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

December 30th

Lightning stood in front of the bathroom mirror, glancing over her figure one last time. It was very rare for her to dress up like this. The dresses she wore in the past (other than ballgowns) weren't overly formal. This one, however, was sleek and sophisticated. It was the blackest black lace with one lace long-sleeve going over her left arm. Though that part was sheer, the rest of the dress had black behind the lace pattern. The dress went about halfway down her thighs, leaving plenty of leg visible before reaching the black heels Serah bought for her a long time ago. She never would have put herself in this, but it was a gift from Kairi and Namine for this specific purpose: a dinner date with Riku. He had a lot of this vacation planned out, and on tonight's schedule was a nice dinner downstairs at the ski-resort's high-class restaurant.

Riku gazed out the glass doors that led to his and Lightning's balcony, the air too cold for him to stand outside. Their suite was luxurious, and over the last few days they spent some time in here other than sleeping; they played a few board games, did some puzzles, cooked dinner for themselves, and watched a few movies. But during the day, they were out snowboarding (even if both of them weren't too great), going to souvenir shops, or seeing the sights. The ski resort was beautiful, but that was expected with how expensive it was. Price didn't matter, though, not to Riku. The last time he and Lightning tried to vacation on Cocoon, it wasn't too great, but he hoped this made up for it. After a little research, he discovered Cocoon's ski resort, and he thought it was a good choice. And as he stood, waiting for the woman he loved to finish getting ready, he knew that the resort's classiest restaurant would do well to end a great day. Considering how nice it was, Riku wore dress shoes, black dress pants, and a navy blue dress shirt with a black tie. And Lightning... He was sure she would look great.

Lightning touched the bun on the back of her head one last time, feeling that it was secure. There wasn't much she knew how to do with hair, but she at least did a nice, classy bun near her neck. Her bangs, however, remained the same as always, though they didn't conceal her gently applied eye makeup. She exhaled a soft breath and stepped outside, seeing the silhouette of Riku by the window. "I'm so lucky to have him," she thought, unaware the words transferred to his heart.

Riku had his back to Lightning, but when her words reached his heart, he closed his eyes. He prepared himself for the breathlessness he would face when he turned around; he already knew she was going to look amazing. Riku's hands came out of his pockets as he turned around, and sure enough, he found himself breathless at the sight before him. His aquamarine eyes grew in astonishment as they traveled over Lightning's form, examining the heels and then her great legs, the dress, and finally her face. He exhaled. "...You look...gorgeous," Riku managed, his gaze running over Lightning's form again. He would have a hard time keeping his eyes off her tonight.

Light smiled softly at the compliment, stepping forward with caution since she wasn't used to the heels. She stopped right in front of Riku so that she could get a better view of him. Riku had turned down the lights in the room a few minutes ago so that he could try to see the stars, though the lights shining on the snow outside cast enough light into the room that he may not have been able to see the stars anyway. Lightning could see pretty well in the room, but that reflected light also briefly hindered her from seeing him clearly. Now that she was right in front of him, she saw him in his full outfit. But even in those clothes, he was the Riku that she loved. Those clothes may have only changed one thing: Riku's motivation to be a proper gentleman.

Riku lifted a hand and brushed Lightning's bangs out of her eyes, his fingertips trailing over her skin. "If you're lucky...I'm blessed," he said to what she unknowingly shared with him moments ago. He was in awe, and he was sure people at the restaurant would be as well. Lightning was more than beautiful, and he was more than lucky to call her his.

Unlike the first time her heart communicated without her permission, Lightning quickly picked up on what happened. Her soft smile was accompanied by a blush of the same manner, though she hoped it was hidden in the dimly-lit room. She and Riku were both blessed to have one another. Every day they spent together was just further emphasizing that truth.

Riku found himself stunned by the blush on Lightning's face, but he blinked and forced himself to speak. "You ready?" he asked softly. They had reservations at the restaurant not too far off. They would need their coats for the short walk.

"Yeah," Light nodded, keeping her voice soft simply because of their closeness. "You?" She looked over his outfit, seeing that he had his tie on straight for once. Normally she fixed it when it was on him, but this time he got it himself. Guess all the times he had to dress up were good practice for this.

"Mm," Riku hummed with a faint nod. He stepped past Lightning and grabbed her coat, which he had placed on the bed. He then held it out, and like a proper gentleman, held it for her so she could slip it on. Once she was set, he would grab his jacket and they would head out.

Lightning hummed in amusement, slipping her arms into the peacoat. "You've decided to be a gentleman, huh?" she mused to Riku. He often had occasion where he wasn't quite the proper gentleman in the past, but he was starting the night out by holding out the coat for her to slip it on. It was a big improvement.

Riku smirked, reaching for his jacket. "I've decided to listen to my mom for once," he said. He made sure to grab his wallet and the room key and stuff them into his coat pockets as he turned to Lightning, his smirk remaining. His mom was usually right about a lot of things; he was just too stubborn to acknowledge it.

Light returned Riku's smirk, finishing with the last button of her coat as Riku completed his sentence. "Wise man," she complimented. Riku's mother was an intelligent woman, and she knew plenty about what gentlemen did and how they did it. Now she would be keeping an eye on him for the rest of the night to see how well he listened.

Riku's smirk only grew as he reached for Lightning's hand and proceeded to lead her out of the suite and out of the building to the cold outdoors. He was dressed warmer than she was, even if the cold wasn't too bad. Her legs would be cold, but Kairi and Namine figured she could handle it, or else they wouldn't have bought it. Riku appreciated the purchase, but for different reasons. He would try to get Lightning into that dress again.

Lightning wasn't the type of person to complain about the weather due to her military training, but that cold air from outside made her lose her breath when she first stepped out. Winter in Cocoon wasn't a joke this year. At least the walkway was clear; she was having a hard enough time walking in heels without worrying about ice.

Riku walked beside Lightning in silence, his hands tucked into his coat pockets and her arm linked with his. The clicking of her heels had him smiling faintly. She never wore heels, and because of that, he knew not to rush. The last thing he wanted for her was a twisted ankle. Besides, they had plenty of time before their reservation. By the looks of things, they weren't the only people on their way to the restaurant; other couples were heading in that general direction too.

"I'd rather walk barefoot in the snow than wear heels," Lightning muttered, though she wasn't necessarily bitter. She knew that she needed heels to complete the outfit, and she knew that Riku liked to see her get dressed up. She supposed that she'd simply need to tough it out for tonight and practice walking in heels more in the future.

Riku chuckled softly, a cloud of air leaving his lips. "You look great," he told her gently, glancing over at her before his eyes fell on the path again. He knew that she didn't mean it like that, but Riku thought he would help soothe her worries. Lightning wouldn't have to stand in them long...maybe. Riku did have a few other plans up his sleeve tonight.

Lightning squeezed Riku's arm with her hand out of care. "You're lucky I love you," she teased lightly. She wouldn't get dressed up for just anybody. And she wasn't complaining too much because she knew that it meant a lot to Riku that she went through things like this. He enjoyed getting her out of her comfort zone and expanding her horizons and she enjoyed it only because he was with her every step of the way.

Riku smiled. "You're right," he agreed with a faint nod, eyes ahead. "I am." If he didn't have Lightning, Riku wasn't sure where he would be. Alone, most likely. In Darkness, not so much. Sora and Kairi would never let him, and he didn't really want to. He'd probably just be on his own and taking care of Heartless problems across the worlds.

Lightning should have known Riku'd make the teasing line more serious. She smiled more softly in response, seeing somebody in a full suit holding the door open for them. She passed him a polite "thank you" and stepped inside, blinking at the beauty of this place. A golden chandelier hung in the center of the reception area, highlighting the crimson and gold theme of the area. This is...wow.

Riku took in the view alongside Lightning, but before he could get too swept away by it, he spoke with the host. "Reservation for two, under Cole," he said softly. The man nodded and told them to wait only a moment. In the meantime, someone offered to take his and Lightning's coats. Riku made sure to grab his wallet and room key before shrugging his off and handing it to the man, nodding his gratitude. This place was too rich for his blood, but here they were.

Lightning allowed her hands to dangle by her sides once she handed off her coat, her eyes wandering around this area. All the couples here were really well-off. And the women that the men were escorting were absolutely gorgeous. The men weren't too bad themselves, but neither was her man.

Riku heard someone address him and turned his head, seeing that the host was ready to seat them. He looked over at the woman beside him and wordlessly grabbed her hand, linking his fingers with hers. Her expression made him smile. What was she thinking?

Light intertwined her fingers with Riku's willingly, allowing him to guide her towards the table the waiter had for them. It was a small table that was very intimate, but at the same time, it had plenty of room for their dinners. She thanked the waiter as he walked away and set a hand on her chair, glancing to her right out the window and hesitating. The view was spectacular.
