Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku put his hand on Lightning's chair too, his other resting on the lace against her back. He followed her gaze to the window, his aquamarine eyes fixed on their view as well. It was amazing, but this whole resort was leaving its impression. He would have to recommend it to Sora and Kairi for their anniversary.

Lightning glanced over at Riku when he set a hand on both her chair and her back, quickly realizing that he also wanted to pull her chair out for her. "Thanks," she murmured, accepting the gesture and forcing her eyes away from the window. As gorgeous as it was, they had all night to stare at it. And each other.

"You're welcome," Riku replied, voice low. Classical music played throughout the room, accompanied by the clinking of plates and glasses and the light murmurs of the people at the other tables. Once Lightning was seated, Riku took his across from her, his eyes finding her immediately. Was he seeing things, or was the glow from the chandelier and other lights making her look even more beautiful?

Claire set her foot lightly atop one of Riku's, her eyes remaining on him as he sat across from her. He looked a bit dazed, though. She tilted her head, her bangs also moving to expose her eyes more clearly. "You okay there?" she checked.

Riku blinked both at the question and the touch. "Oh, uh...yeah. Yeah," he said, glancing down at the menu and rubbing a hand over his short hair. He had actually been in a bit of a trance, but he was never going to admit to that. Lightning was just so pretty... If she kept making him speechless, he didn't know how he would propose tomorrow night.

Lightning allowed Riku's stutters to stand, though she suspected he was distracted by something. Certainly not another woman in the restaurant, though there were tables around them that seemed distracted. Not everyone in the restaurant was there for dates. One table nearby had several wealthy-looking young women, and they kept looking over at Riku. He couldn't see them with his position, though.

Riku smiled sheepishly, glancing up at the woman he loved. But that was when he noticed that she wasn't looking at him, but behind him. And she looked a bit interested. His eyebrows furrowed as he looked over his shoulder to see what she was staring at. He was met with a couple pairs of eyes, those that belonged to women. Upon making eye contact, a few of them shied away and whispered to each other, so Riku faced forward, his gaze resting on Lightning. He wasn't sure what that was about.

Lightning met Riku's eyes and smiled weakly. "You're too attractive," she both commented and complimented. The women at that table obviously noticed him, not that she could blame them. Well, she wouldn't make a fuss with them as long as they didn't interrupt the date. She wouldn't allow anything to ruin this dinner.

Riku smiled at the words and the warmth that graced his heart. As badly as he wanted to look away out of embarrassment that people had been staring at him, he didn't. He had an ego, sure, but he wouldn't let it get to his head. The only person whose opinion mattered was Lightning's.

Lightning's lips turned up in a smirk. "Letting it go to your head, huh?" she teased in a murmur. It was obviously a joke with her tone of voice and posture; she could see that Riku was fighting a blush. He could be prideful and get his ego puffed up, but she always tried to keep him humble. Humility was much more attractive than pride.

Riku was about to respond, but that was when a man who appeared to be in his twenties approached the table.

"I don't mean to interrupt," the man said, looking from Riku to Lightning. He spoke directly to her. "But I just wanted to say that you're beautiful." He then clapped Riku on the shoulder, who was silenced by the compliment. "You're a lucky man."

Riku released a faint laugh and nodded, looking from the stranger to the woman across from him. "Trust me, I know," he said. He then gazed up at the stranger, shaking his hand. "Thanks." The young man nodded and left the table to venture across the large room. Riku then looked to Lightning, smirking. Two compliments within minutes of each other... Couldn't beat that.

Lightning was stunned at the exchange, and the effort the young man put into simply coming over, calling her beautiful, and then leaving her to her date. I guess this place doesn't have guys who are jerks. Everyone around them was acting classy and mature. Granted, they were all probably very rich, but she wouldn't hold that against them. Any person that polite couldn't be a bad person. She still blushed as he walked away, taking a sip of the water that was already on the table.

"Maybe you're too attractive," Riku told the woman he loved, not fooled by her drink of water. She was blushing, and he could sense the shyness in her heart. The fact that a stranger came over and to tell her that, and told him that he was so lucky... It was nice. Riku must have done something right if he got blessed with someone like Lightning in his life.

Light smiled around the glass of water, lifting her foot so that the heel of it pressed into Riku's shoe a tad. However, she wasn't an excessively cruel person, so she didn't force it to go down too hard. Thinking about it now, maybe heels did have a purpose: They could be good weapons.

Riku only chuckled at the force against his shoe, but instead of staring at Lightning, he lowered his gaze to the menu in front of him. He started to look through it, deciding that it was about time they looked through their food choices before their waiter came back. He wouldn't be surprised if wine was offered either.

The rest of the dinner went without a hitch. The women at the table may have looked at Riku every now and then, but it wasn't enough to get Lightning annoyed. Little did she know that there was a similar table of men outside her view who kept glancing at her throughout the meal. Nobody made a move on either of them though because it was so obvious that they were devoted to one another. Sometimes the conversation was audible and sometimes it wasn't, but the people around could see the love through more than just words. Their very beings radiated the love they felt for one another.

Riku held Lightning's hand across the table, and he gazed at his thumb running over her knuckles as conversation halted for the moment. He noticed a group of men staring in Lightning's direction throughout the meal, but it didn't bother him at all. They were admiring her from a distance, and that was harmless. It let Riku know that he was lucky, just like that guy earlier on in the dinner said. Just the thought had Riku smiling faintly. This trip was turning out a lot better than he expected.

Lightning followed Riku's motion with her eyes, silence falling between them. The main course came and went a while ago, and now dessert was gone as well. All that awaited them was the check. She sighed quietly, the fullness of her stomach, the gentle motion of Riku, and the atmosphere making her both relaxed and a bit sleepy.

Riku looked up at the sigh, though he noted it was of contentment. His smile grew slightly. "Don't get tired on me just yet," he said. He and Lightning had some more time to spend together back at the suite. Sleeping didn't count. Just like the last week, he had a lot planned out.

"Too late," Light mused, witnessing the waiter bring them the check and set it on the table. Now they could leave any time that they wanted to. After he bid them a good night, she gave him her gratitude and looked back to Riku. Though he didn't want her tired, she was. She'd blame it on her glass of wine; the liquid had a way of relaxing her.

Riku took his hand back and grabbed the check, signing it with the pen the waiter left behind. "We'll see how you feel after the walk back," he said, closing the book and sitting back in his chair. The cold would wake Lightning up a bit, he was sure.

"Alright, the cold will wake me up," Lightning agreed, catching onto Riku's meaning immediately. "But once we're back to the room, there's no guarantees." She wondered what else he had in mind for tonight. He seemed to have something, since he said she wasn't allowed to be tired yet.

Riku simply smirked, rising to his feet and offering Lightning his hand. Once they made it back to the suite, he would be sure to keep her up. He'd keep her on her toes...literally. She wouldn't rest until she danced with him again.

Light and Riku exited the restaurant a few minutes later and, as expected, their air was frigid. She wished that she could walk faster in her heels to get to warmth, but if she walked too fast, she'd fall off the path and into the snow. That was the last thing that she wanted right about now.

Riku walked with Lightning back up to the room, and once he shut the door behind them, he placed his hands on Lightning's waist. He kissed her suddenly, having been wanting to all night but never finding the right time. After all he realized this evening (even if it was for the millionth time), he wanted nothing more than to kiss her again. He blamed her, really. She was too amazing.
