A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Lightning's eyes briefly widened at the sudden kiss. They weren't inside for even ten seconds and Riku was kissing her. Despite her confusion over what brought on the kiss, she shut her eyes and returned the affection. This was Riku in front of her; she always tried to give him the affection he deserved. 

Riku kissed Lightning for another long moment, his hands gripping her small waist, but soon he retreated. "...Sorry," he sighed, opening his eyes to gaze at the woman he loved. "I've just been wanting to do that for a while." He never could without risking PDA. He doubted Lightning was okay with that, even if they would never see any of the people on the resort again.

Lightning hummed, her lips turning up in a smirk. "Couldn't even wait for me to slip out of my coat, huh?" she teased. "I must be irresistible." She gave Riku a brief peck on the lips before she looked at his coat and began to unzip it for him, one of her hands lingering over his chest. 

Riku looked down at Lightning's hand undoing his coat, but then his eyes found her. "Careful," he advised lowly, crooked smile present. "Start taking off my clothes and I definitely won't be able to resist you." Lightning already was irresistible; he struggled to hold himself together sometimes.

Lightning hmphed, taking the hint. She gave Riku a brief pat and stepped away so he could take care of his own coat. Instead of focusing on him, she undid the buttons of her coat, though she would have been comfortable keeping it on for another minute or two. She was still chilled from outside.

Riku looked after Lightning, undoing his zipper on his own. "I never said you had to stop," he told her, shrugging off his coat. He was all for the affection sometimes, though he had to stop himself from taking things too far more than once. He would control himself, always, for Lightning. She deserved better from him.

"I'll keep that in mind for next time," Lightning smirked. She shrugged off her own coat and walked over to the hangers, putting it in its rightful place before she began to slip out of her heels. It was such a relief to finally be free of them.

Riku only smiled and followed Lightning's lead, hanging up his coat. He then turned on a nearby lamp and placed his wallet on the dresser. He rolled up the sleeves of his dress shirt, not yet changing his clothes. He still had to dance with the girl he loved before she slipped out of that dress.

Lightning walked over to the couch, somehow managing to plop onto it gracefully. Her feet were hurting after an evening in heels, but she wasn't going to complain about it. She was feeling too tired to now that she was warming up and sitting comfortably in the privacy of their room.

Riku approached Lightning instantly, shaking his head. "Uh-uh," he said in protest. He reached for her hands and gently pulled her back to her feet. "One more thing...and then I'll rub your feet, okay?" He knew the heels hurt her tonight, and that her feet were suffering because of it, but he wanted just one more thing from her, and then he'd be at her beck and call.

Light wasn't about to make Riku rub her feet, but she was more curious about the reason she was now standing. She kept her hands in his as she looked up slightly towards his face. "What is it?" she asked, not irritated by his insistence but curious. What did he have planned now?

Riku walked backwards, leading Lightning toward the fireplace in their room. Once he was near it, he casted a small Fire spell to illuminate it. Once it was going, he turned to the woman he loved. He gazed at her for a moment, smiling weakly and tilting his head. "Dance with me," he requested. The last time they danced, it was Halloween night.

Lightning smiled softly as she leaned up and gave Riku a kiss on the cheek. "Let me get my shoes back on," she said quietly. He still had his shoes and tie on, so she figured she should stay formal as well and put her heels back on for this dance. 

Riku shook his head. "No, it's okay. You're more you this way," he said, glancing down at Lightning's feet. He wanted her to be comfortable. That was all he wanted for the rest of his life, other than her happiness. He would make sure he gave her comfort, happiness, and security forever. Lightning wouldn't receive anything less from him.

Lightning's small smile remained as she pulled back a tad. She knew Riku meant what he said, so she moved her hands to the necessary positions. One hand was on his shoulder while the other remained in his grasp. There was just one thing missing... "Where's the music?"

Riku's smile only grew, but in love. "I was hoping you could provide that," he admitted. And by the way he told her, Lightning should have known what he meant. Just like Halloween, he requested that she play him something that she liked. He could lead the dance through whatever she had in mind.

Light lowered her gaze to Riku's chest, understanding what he meant due to his method of communication. She once felt music in her heart and shared it with him. But could she do it again? It was hard and required a lot of focus... Just like before, she allowed her eyes to close so she could focus. What song could she think of off the top of her head? 

When Lightning closed her eyes, Riku admired her from where he stood. She really was beautiful, but she was strong. She was tough, and she was soft. She was independent, but she accepted others' help. She was a fighter, but also a lover. Riku couldn't contain his smile. He leaned forward and pressed a kiss to Lightning's forehead, holding it for now. The woman before him was everything he ever wanted, and all he ever needed.

Lightning's lips turned up briefly in a small smile. "Distracting," she murmured at Riku. That kiss took away her focus, not that she had much to start with. She didn't listen to music very often, so it was hard to come up with something off the top of her head. She'd need another minute to think.

Riku pulled back a little, opening his eyes to gaze at Lightning. "Sorry," he mumbled quietly. Instead, he would listen to the cackling of the fire, until he heard music. Once that happened, he would start dancing. Lightning could take her time. There was no rush.

Light's small smile remained for a few seconds before it began to fade. What was that song Serah played a lot when she met Snow? It drove Lightning crazy for a while, but now the tune and the words were beginning to come back to her. As she recalled the words in her head, they automatically overflowed to Riku's heart. "...I wanna be your last, first kiss...that you'll ever have."

Riku smiled faintly when the words impacted his heart, and he wordlessly started to sway. The song lyrics were interesting, but Riku could relate, and he was sure Lightning could as well. Come tomorrow, those words would be true. He was both nervous and confident when it came to the proposal, but their together was in Lightning's hands. She would decide if they went forward together.

Lightning didn't remember the song well enough to get it down word for word; it was a song she tried to forget because of how she used to disapprove of Serah and Snow. She accidentally jumped a verse in her mind, just as she skipped the first one. "...I wanna break every clock. The hands of time could never move again. We could stay in those moment for the rest of our lives."

Throughout the song Lightning played for him, Riku pulled her close. His hand rested on her lower back as the other rested in his grasp, and his head lingered near hers. This was all he wanted to end a great day--dancing with the woman he loved. He never needed much in his life, and when Lightning came along, that still stood true. But she was more than he needed, and more than he ever wanted. That was why she was a blessing.

Lightning fumbled some of the words throughout the song and sometimes missed the beat, but Riku continued the dance without commenting on it. She recalled what she could and transferred it to Riku's heart, only opening her eyes for the last two phrases to look at Riku. "...I wanna be your last first love, till you're lying here beside me with arms and eyes wide open. I wanna be your last first kiss for all time."
