Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku gazed into Lightning's eyes as the words flowed to his heart, but alongside them came Lightning's feelings. That was what made him lean down and place a kiss to her lips. Did she have any idea what she did to him sometimes? He either couldn't breathe or his heart would skip, or he wouldn't be able to speak. Riku was convinced Lightning didn't know what kind of power she had over him.

Lightning leaned up and returned Riku's kiss, the tune silencing at the distraction that was big enough to make her lose every thought she had been thinking. The hand that held his squeezed tighter for a brief moment while her hand around his shoulder slipped further down his back in a small embrace.

Riku retreated after a small moment, but only far enough that his nose briefly brushed Lightning's. "I love you," he whispered. As if it wasn't obvious. But he wanted to let her know anyway, because she deserved to hear it. Riku didn't think it was possible to fall out of love with Lightning. And he didn't want to, ever.

"I love you too," Lightning whispered in response. She showed that to Riku every day that she could because not only did he deserve it, but she also couldn't help but show her love for him. He was her partner in life and a solid rock in times of hardship. Once she lived without him and his support, but she never wanted that to happen again.

Riku smiled crookedly and lifted his head, planting a kiss to Lightning's forehead and holding it in the silence. There was no music, only the cackle of the fire, and they weren't swaying anymore. That was okay. All Riku wanted was one dance, and Lightning graced him with that. He was satisfied.

Light shut her eyes, another song popping into her mind. "...Chills run  down my spine as our fingers entwine and your sighs harmonize with mine. Unmistakably, I can still feel your heart beat fast when you dance with me..."

Riku wasn't familiar with that song, but he did smile. He retreated and placed his forehead against Lightning's. He squeezed the hand he still held, beginning to sway again as Lightning graced him with another song. Whenever she couldn't think of anymore, he would let her rest. They had a long and tiring day.

Once more, Lightning was too unfamiliar with the song to get it right. Thankfully Riku didn't seem to notice or care. "...Circle me and the needle moves gracefully back and forth. If my heart was a compass you'd be north. Risk it all cause I'll catch you when you fall. Wherever you go...If my heart was a house you'd be home."

Riku's smile grew at the words presented to him. "You're gonna make me blush," he told Lightning silently. He wasn't sure how she was coming up with these songs, but they encouraged shyness out of him. Riku wasn't used to flattery, especially at such a deep level as this. Couldn't Lightning feel that?

Lightning only smiled softly at the silent comment, trying hard not to let it interrupt the song. She finished that one and then recalled bits of another, and then another. Though the feeling in her heart told her that Riku only expected one dance at the start, she knew that he was enjoying every second of this. She kept her eyes shut as she finally ran out of songs, one of her feet accidentally stepping on Riku's for the fourth time because they were still pained from the heels.

Riku chuckled when Lightning stepped on his foot again. "...I think you've suffered enough," he teased lowly, stopping their dancing. He wouldn't keep Lightning on her feet any longer; they were hurting her after all. Once she changed out of that beautiful dress--one he would have her in again--he would rub her feet for her as she rested. It was the least he could do.

Claire opened her eyes, smiling weakly at Riku. "I haven't been suffering," she assured him. She was enjoying dancing with him despite the pain in her feet. But he was right in the implication he made: she would appreciate having some time to get off her feet for a while.

Riku's smile turned up on one side. "If you insist," he replied. He placed a kiss to Lightning's cheek and withdrew, his hand lingering in hers. "Go change. I'll take care of the rest." He'd douse the fire and make sure the bed was ready for her to lie down. It was getting late anyways. Lightning would probably fall asleep on him quickly.

Light nodded softly in appreciation, slipping her hand out of Riku's. She turned and started back towards the bedroom, treading lightly on her feet as to not hurt them any further. It only took a few minutes for her to put on a comfortable pair for sweatpants and a camisole before returning to Riku and the living room to see that he already put out the fire.

Riku had a lamp on by the couch, where he rested in silence. He turned his head when Lightning entered, and he patted the seat next to him. "Let me see those feet," he said with a small smile. He'd follow through with his promise to massage them for her, since she wore heels for him tonight. If he hadn't taken her to that restaurant, there would have been no need for the heels at all. He would make up for it.

Lightning shook her head softly in amusement, sitting down on the couch next to Riku. "Why don't you go get comfortable?" she suggested. He was still dressed in his formal clothes, though he had taken off his shoes since they stopped dancing. Her feet could wait a few minutes, or be completely forgotten, since she didn't want Riku feeling obligated to massage them for her.

Riku shook his head. "It's alright," he insisted. "I have a feeling you'll fall asleep on me in a few minutes anyway." In other words, once Lightning was asleep, he would take care of himself. After all, this whole trip was all about her. She just didn't know it yet.

Light hmphed, lifting a finger to lightly poke Riku's nose. "I'll just have to prove you wrong, then," she said simply. Though she was tired, she had a feeling Riku was as well. They were very busy over the past few days with athletics and activities that were extraneous. If she was tired, he was too.

Riku simply smirked and held out a hand for one of Lightning's feet. He would go ahead and give her a foot rub. After a few minutes, they would see if Lightning lived up to her promise. He doubted it, since they did a lot today and were both full from dinner. Riku was ready to fall asleep, but he would tend to the woman he loved first.

Lightning sighed, seeing Riku was determined to help her feet. She didn't argue, instead scooting down the couch and propping herself up in the corner. Her legs extended over to Riku, gently resting upon his lap so that he could reach them. She had only a blister or two on the back of her heels--a big improvement from the last time she wore the shoes.

Riku noticed the blisters after a moment, and he placed his thumb next to them as he called to a Cure spell in silence. The blisters healed over, which meant that when he and Lightning went snowboarding tomorrow, they wouldn't cause her pain. It would be their second-to-last day at the resort, and the biggest day of all. New Years Eve. The night Riku proposed to Lightning and prayed she would say yes.

Lightning leaned her head back against the couch and shut her eyes, telling herself over and over again that she wasn't going to fall asleep. She was both stubborn and competitive; she wanted to prove Riku wrong when he said she'd be out in a few minutes. But with his soft and gentle hands taking away any discomfort in her feet, it was hard to stay awake. She folded her arms over her chest and began to doze off, sleep calling her name.

Riku glanced over at Lightning after a few minutes and saw that she was doing what he thought: falling asleep on him. He waited a few more minutes to stop rubbing her feet, which was when he lifted her and took her to the bed. He tucked her in with care, brushing her hair out of her eyes wordlessly before he changed into lounge pants for the night. After shutting off all the lights and locking the door, he crawled in next to her and fell asleep within minutes.

The next night

Lightning sat up on the couch, facing the window in silence. The day was another exhausting one with plenty of snowboarding, skiing and even ice-skating. She was pretty wiped out, but at the same time, tonight was a special night. It was New Year's Eve and soon it would be New Year's Day. She knew that if she fell asleep now, she wouldn't wake up for the fireworks in half an hour. Riku already passed out about two hours ago with his head resting in her lap. She couldn't help but smile softly at him as she played with his silver hair. She'd wake him up about ten minutes before the fireworks started.

Lightning's gesture acted as a lullaby on some cases, and while it was soothing, it also brought Riku out of his sleep. He opened his eyes partway and saw that it was dark outside, a lamp on near the couch. He grunted, eyes widening instantly as he sat up. His heart leaped as he looked around for the clock. What time is it? he thought. Please don't be past midnight! Did he miss his chance?
