Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Lightning lifted her hand from Riku's head when he suddenly bolted upright, that hand staying elevated as she looked to Riku. "What?" she asked, startled by his sudden and harsh awakening. What was wrong? And why was he looking around the room like that?

Riku turned and looked at Lightning, aquamarines eyes alarmed. "What time is it?" he asked, breathless. In his panic, he couldn't spot the clock. He prayed it wasn't too late. This was the night... This was his chance! He had planned for this for weeks. He couldn't miss it because of a nap!

Oh, right. Fireworks. Riku just didn't want to miss the fireworks or the first kiss they were supposed to have at midnight. "It's only 11:30," Lightning assured him. He still had plenty of time before the new year began.

Riku blinked, his eyes darting to the couch. Thirty minutes until midnight. But they had to be at the gondola in fifteen! He rose to his feet. "Okay, uh...okay," he mumbled, starting in one direction and then changing his mind and hurrying toward the closet. He searched through what was hanging up and grabbed the outfit he had picked out for Lightning, but the shoes were up top. He reached up onto the shelf but ended up knocking down the box that held Lightning's heels from the night before. "Ow!" he cried, then cursing. This was not going the way it was supposed to.

Lightning tried to stifle back a laugh, though it was hard. She didn't understand why Riku was panicking when there were thirty minutes until midnight and they didn't have plans to go anywhere. "What's up with you?" she said amidst her innocent chuckles. What was he so worked up about?

Riku stepped back from the closet with the hanger containing Lightning's pants, sweater, and scarf, the box holding her shoes in his other hand. But when he stepped back, he tripped over one of her heels that fell out of the box he knocked on the floor. He stumbled and hit the wall with a dull thud. With a wince, Riku looked up at Lightning. "Uh...I'll explain, just put this on," he insisted, starting forward and holding the outfit out to Lightning. He had to go get ready as well.

Lightning arched a brow, walking over to Riku at a casual pace. But before she accepted the box and clothes from him, she wisely picked up the shoe that fell out of the box, put it back in the box, and then placed the box up against the wall. She didn't know that there was a big rush, obviously.

Riku located a clock on the wall, finally, and noticed what time it was. Okay, so they had about thirteen minutes to get to the gondola. They could do that, right? Maybe. He hoped so. If they didn't, Riku's whole idea would be a failure. If this was going to be perfect, it had to be on time. Riku would have to hurry.

Within five minutes, Lightning was dressed and ready to go. She put on the brownish-gray sweater Riku brought her along with an infinity scarf with the colors of black, off-white and that gray of the shirt on it. The jeans she wore were typical jeans, though they were skinny so that they could fit into her black leather boots. The boots may have had heels, but she wouldn't have a problem with these. Boots were her comfort shoes.

Riku was ready the same time as Lightning, having just spritzed cologne. It wasn't too much, since he only spared one spritz in his hurry. He donned a grey wool pullover and jeans, something warm enough for the weather. His black coat was still hanging up by Lightning's. When he saw her, he spared a moment to take in the sight. Kairi had helped him pick out the outfit...and it was brilliant. Lightning looked wonderful.

Lightning folded her arms over her chest, smirking slightly at Riku. He looked nice, especially since he just woke up in a panic ten minutes ago. "Time to explain now?" she asked with an arched brow. He looked slightly less panicked than before, though he still looked a bit frazzled.

Riku blinked, coming out of his brief daze and looking into Lightning's eyes. "Oh, uh...I'll explain on the way," he said with a weak smile. He approached the coat hangers and held Lightning's open to her, again being the gentleman, even in his frenzy. He already had the ring in his coat pocket, as well as Serah and Snow's gift. As long as they reached the gondola, everything would be fine.

Lightning got into the coat with ease, buttoning it herself while Riku shrugged his coat on. She didn't bother asking him again and instead just observed him. Whatever he was worked up about, it was driving him crazy. She felt bad for finding it amusing.

Riku glanced over at Lightning after grabbing the room key. Upon noticing her amusement, he gave her a look. "You're lucky I love you," he said, opening the door and motioning for her to head out first. He would have taunted anyone who found his panic entertaining; this was a serious matter. Lightning would understand in the next twenty or so minutes.

"Yeah, good thing," Lightning agreed with a smirk. But in all seriousness, she was glad he loved her. She couldn't imagine living life without him by her side anymore. He showed her the light and hope and just...she couldn't put into words what he meant to her. She stood in the hallway and waited for him to lead, since she had no clue where they were going.

Riku locked the door and took Lightning's hand, leading her to the first floor and then outside. Lucky for them, the gondola's were a short walk down the street. He made sure not to walk too fast considering Lightning was wearing heels again, but he didn't take this time either. As they got closer, Riku could see a short line for the gondolas, since other couples wanted the same view. "...I figured we could see the fireworks better on one of these," he said, glancing over at Lightning. The gondolas would provide quite a sight.

Lightning blinked in surprise, looking from the line of couples to Riku. She definitely hadn't expected anything like this. Riku planned so much for this trip and had already done so much to make it enjoyable, but this...This was over the top incredible. "Riku..."

Riku slowed down, realizing that they still had five minutes. They were already in line, so they would be fine. He glanced over at Lightning as they reached the line, his hand squeezing hers. "Told you you were lucky," he said, then sending the woman he loved a wink. All of his time taking care of the Heartless paid off...literally. He wouldn't have been able to afford this otherwise.

Light smiled softly, hugging Riku's arm in silence. Yes I am, she agreed. She was very lucky--very blessed. The time in line went by quickly despite the coolness of the night air and soon enough, she and Riku were on their own gondola and in midair, travelling to the spot where they'd rest for the fireworks.

Riku looked at his watch as they traveled up over the mountains, checking the time. They had a good ten minutes until midnight, until the start of the new year. And it would be a great one, he was sure. Roxas and Namine were getting married, Serah and Snow were having a baby, and maybe...just maybe he would have a fiancee.

The ride stopped six minutes to midnight, the cab suspended so they had a nice view of the entire landscape. Lightning knew from speaking to the receptionist at the lodge that the fireworks were lit in the direction she was facing--away from the lodge. She sat down in the cab and looked outside, though her gaze soon went to Riku.

Riku was standing for the time being, his eyes on the mountains. The fireworks would start soon, and his proposal was literally tied to time. His hands were his coat pockets, and he fingered the box that held the ring he bought for this occasion. It was expensive, of course, but beautiful and worth it. Lightning wasn't really into jewelry, but he knew she would appreciate this.

"Riku," Light called softly. "Why don't you have a seat?" They had some time to kill before the fireworks started, so they may as well have spent it in comfort. These cab didn't have heating either, so it was a little cold despite how the wind wasn't impacting them now.

Riku turned his head, looking over at the woman he loved. The woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, but only if she graced him with such a thing. It was her decision, and by this last week, he could tell that his life would be grand. She admitted that she wanted kids with him, which was enough to send him reeling. How bizarre... He never thought he would have kids... Riku smiled warmly at Lightning, walking over and taking a seat beside her.

Lightning wrapped an arm around Riku's shoulders, gently resting her cheek on the shoulder of his coat. Riku often brought her into situations where her words failed her, and this was definitely one of those cases. She didn't know how to say "thank you" for all he did the last week--all the happiness and joy he brought her.
