A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Riku blinked, eyebrows furrowing. His hand shifted to Lightning's side when she stepped back, and he lowered the necklaces to his side. "Serah just said that we wore them during our engagement," he explained. "...What else is there?" Serah would have told him the rest, he was sure! And now he was ruining the moment...

Lightning whistled between her teeth. "That's all  you know?" she murmured, focusing her gaze on the fireworks going on outside of their gondola cab. "And you wanted to wear them?" She was faking offense for the sake of a joke, but it was all goodnatured. Riku would forgive her in a few moments. 

Riku looked down at the necklaces, his hand falling from Lightning's side. "...Sorry," he apologized lowly, glancing to the side. Maybe these were a bad idea. But how could they be? Serah wouldn't have set him up for failure. She was better than that.

Light snickered, unable to contain herself any longer. She looked up at Riku as she also lifted a hand and flicked his nose. "There is no other tradition," she confessed. She was making it all up just to see him squirm for a moment or two. Yes, it would seem cruel to an outsider, but to them, it was just teasing. 

Riku shook his head slightly at the flick on his nose, but then he looked to Lightning with wide eyes. Then he rolled them, sighing. He should have expected that. Lightning wouldn't make him apologize after their engagement. He was still a little nervous, even if the proposal was over. He would blame his insecurities on that.

Lightning chuckled, reaching for the necklaces in Riku's hand and fingering the pendant briefly. However, she was so lighthearted now that she had to crack another joke with a serious expression. "Wait...these aren't engagement necklaces...these are the necklaces expecting parents wear." Lots of jewelry for special occasions on Cocoon. Doubt he'll buy it. 

Riku gave Lightning a look. "I highly doubt Serah and Snow would give me those," he said, lifting an eyebrow. He wasn't falling for that trick again. Lightning was wearing this necklace, and so was he. If she would turn around, he would put it on her.

"Serah wouldn't make that kind of mistake," Lightning agreed. "But Snow would. After all, he and Serah are expecting so he has babies on his mind..." She kept playing out the story, though it actually sounded more compelling with every word she spoke. Would Riku buy it now? 

Riku gazed at Lightning for a moment, studying every inch of her face to see if he could find a giveaway. Lightning was a pro at putting on masks, and he learned to see past them, but instead of focusing on the outside, he looked to her heart. And within it was amusement. "Cut it out," he said, smirking. Riku appreciated the humor, but only to a point. This was their engagement. The minute after his proposal. He was still trying to recover from Lighting saying yes.

Lightning smiled, breaking the charade. "Guess you caught me," she admitted. He saw the amusement in her heart, obviously. That was why he communicated with her through the heart instead of audibly speaking to her. Even so, she was having fun with him. Her fiance. 

"Hmph," Riku grunted, separating the necklaces in his hand as he stepped closer to Lightning. He lifted his hands behind her head, leaning close and pressing a kiss to her temple before focusing on clasping the two ends of the jewelry together. After it was attached, he retreated, tracing his fingers along the silver chain until the pendant rested against Lightning's chest comfortably. "...Perfect," Riku murmured. It looked great on her.

Light's small smile remained as she glanced down at the pendent on her chest. "You know what would look even better?" She reached out and grasped the one in Riku's hand, gently removing it from his hold. Standing up on her toes a bit, she wrapped her arms around his shoulders as she clasped the necklace once more. "Us matching."

Riku hummed again in agreement, smiling at Lightning as she attached his necklace. He looked down at it once she was done, seeing that it rested against his chest just a little below her lightning bolt necklace. He still had a hard time grasping it... They were engaged. Lightning was his fiancee. It was so bizarre...

Lightning backed away, though she set her hands on Riku's arms as she gazed at him. "Never looked better," she said, giving him a compliment. He was...glowing. She probably was too. The fireworks outside were nothing compared to the shooting sparks in her heart. 

Riku's aquamarine eyes found Lightning, and he smiled a little more. "You too," he whispered. The New Year celebration was winding down outside, but Riku had more reason to celebrate today. He not only rang in the New Year with the woman he loved at his side, but he proposed to her...and she said yes. It still sent his heart soaring. Lightning wanted to be with him forever. She was going to be his wife.

Lightning hummed, her lips turning into a crooked smile. "Just wait till the wedding day," she whispered, looking at the necklace that rested on his chest. She would be dressed up, which was a rare occurrence for her. Riku was always stunned when she dressed formally, but a wedding was totally different. How would he react? 

Riku released a heavy breath at that, lifting his hands to cup Lightning's cheeks. "You are going to look so beautiful," he whispered. He had an idea of what she would look like, but he doubted that could beat reality. Lightning would look amazing. Riku was already anticipating that moment.

Light hummed once more as she briefly ran her hands down Riku's arms to his elbow. It'd be weird, dressing in a full white gown. She knew for sure that Serah would want to shop with her for the dress, do her hair and make-up, buy the shoes...It was a good thing Serah was around to help plan the wedding, because Light was clueless of how to do it. 

Riku's smile returned, though it was crooked in good nature. "...Mrs. Cole," he said to the woman he loved. She was going to be Mrs. Cole. Lightning would take his last name, but she would always be a Farron. He could and never would change that about her.

Lightning also smiled crookedly, lifting her gaze to Riku's aqua eyes. "Mr. Farron," she corrected slyly. But naturally this was just another joke; she didn't expect him to take on her last name. She would gladly take his and join his family for the rest of her life. 

Riku chuckled instantly, shaking his head. "I don't think so," he said with the same smile. His father was counting on him to carry the Cole name; he was the only child of his family. Besides, if he took Lightning's name, Sora would never let him hear the end of it.

Lightning scowled, setting a hand on her hip as she looked up at Riku. "You have a problem with Farron?" It was a strong last name to go along with two strong girls. She had to admit...A part of her was sad to see the name go. They were the last Farrons, but she was going to be the first Mrs. Lightning Rosalynn Cole. She'd deal with it.

"Not at all," Riku said, lowering his hands from Lightning's face to rest on her hips. "My dad's just counting on me to carry on the family name. I can't let him down." Besides, it was tradition to take on the man's last name. Riku wasn't going to break that one.

"I guess I can give up my name for a worthy cause," Light sighed, allowing her hands to drop down to her sides. She smiled weakly and leaned up, giving Riku a kiss on the lips. But there was going to be a lot of change, including one of their homes. They avoided the talk about which world they'd live on for a while, but now they couldn't so easily. 

Riku kissed Lightning back in silence, his smile fading with the gesture. After a moment, though, he retreated, feeling the gondola begin to move again. The fireworks were gone, and it was dark outside their cab. Was it time to call it a night? Honestly, Riku wouldn't be able to sleep.
