Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku glanced at his knees for a second before his eyes went back to Sora. "You did well," he said, praising Sora for his efforts and self-defense. He handled himself well when it came to fighting against Chris.

Sora looked over at Riku, surprised with the compliment. "Thanks," he said after a second, a weak smile appearing on his face. He tried his best, even if Chris fought dirty throughout the whole thing.
"Mm," Riku hummed with a small nod. Sora had a good idea with starting this self-defense training. It actually did come in handy.

Sora looked down towards the ground after a few moments, not knowing what else to say. He almost wanted to ask Riku about a few more techniques he could learn, like if he was fighting a group like last night. But Riku didn't know about that yet, and he wasn't sure if he wanted him to.
Riku looked at his knees, in thought now as the waves crashed near him. Why was Chris picking on Sora so much? He usually had multiple targets, not just one. But still...what did he plan to gain out of any of this?
  • Author
"I, uh, guess I'm not quite as ready for fighting as I thought I was," Sora confessed, swallowing his pride and saying what Riku probably already knew. He was getting better, but last night had proven to him that he really wasn't strong enough to stand alone in battle. That was why he was alright (or more alright) with asking Riku to help him just now with Chris.
"Maybe not," Riku admitted, lifting his eyes to Sora. "But you handled yourself enough for what just happened. Chris could've thrown you in a trash can again if you hadn't." He smirked a little. It was a bitter memory, but right now it was joke-worthy.
  • Author
"Heh, right," Sora said with a weak laugh, a faint smile also appearing at Riku's joke. That had been awful, and that incident was what caused Riku to stand up to Chris. He always remembered that day, because that only made him want to be stronger like Riku even more than he had previously.
"I'll tell you what, though," Riku continued then, glancing down at his linked fingers. "It was pretty entertaining to see you throw him in the ocean like that. His face was priceless." Chris deserved it too. He did it to Sora the night before. It was like mockery, but justified.

Sora's faint smile grew, and a few more chuckles left him in humor. "I don't know where that came from," he said, referring to throwing him into the ocean. He hadn't even been thinking about what he was doing, really; it was just instinct.
Riku smiled a little, looking up at Sora. "Don't question it," he said with a shake of his head. It worked, and that was all that mattered. And it was pretty funny. Karma at its best.
  • Author
"Wasn't planning to," Sora assured Riku, looking up at his best friend with a smile. It was done and over with now, so there wasn't much point in dwelling on things like that. He knew that if he ever did get caught in a fight with Chris again, he wouldn't be able to perform that move.
Riku's smile remained, and he nodded once. That was good. Things like that could be considered lucky, while also instinct. Sora could take it how he wanted to, but Riku was just glad that Chris was gone...for now.

Sora's smile faded after a few moments, and he knew he couldn't keep the secret from his best friend. "Riku, about that fight last night..." It was a lot worse than he knew, but he would soon be enlightened.
Riku lifted his eyebrows slightly, waiting for Sora to continue. What did he have to say? But at the same time, Riku was wondering if he should confess that he was there... Maybe that would be a bad idea...
  • Author
"...It wasn't just Chris," Sora said, looking down at the sand as he gave Riku more insight on what happened. "His whole gang showed up. I think there were seven including Chris, so things got pretty...ugly." But he wasn't going to use the numbers as an excuse for his injuries; he should have found a better way to fight in a group.
Riku frowned at the memory, looking down at the ground. "...Doesn't surprise me," he said quietly, though his voice held venom. "Chris always drags his posse around with him to do his dirty work."
  • Author
"...I'm glad you weren't there to see it," Sora said, hearing the bite in Riku's tone. "It was really bad..." And if Riku had seen him fighting so terribly, he probably would have been disappointed in Sora, and that was the last thing he wanted.
Riku closed his eyes, not saying anything. But I was there, he thought silently. And if Sora knew that... How would he even react? Riku didn't really know.
  • Author
"But, uh, anyway..." Sora said, realizing that he got off track. "That's why I was really hurting earlier." Of course, he was referring to the time when Riku was training him and he obviously knew something was wrong. Surely Riku figured out by now that pain was partially responsible for him not training wholeheartedly.
"There were seven of them?" Riku checked after a second, trying to remember if he had seen that many last night. It had been too dark to really tell, though. But seven against one? That was ridiculous, and desperate.
  • Author
"Yeah, I think so," Sora said with a faint nod. "I didn't really have time to count." Things escalated pretty quickly, and he had been focused on Chris and Travis because they were bigger threats. But seven sounded right.
Riku shook his head. "I don't doubt that," he said. In hand-to-hand combat, that would definitely be difficult. He remembered how he and Sora defeated those hundreds of Nobodies after defeating Xemnas, but that had been with the help of the Keyblade... And seven bullies with only your fists, when you weren't even that trained in hand-to-hand combat? Riku frowned at the picture in his head, one he'd actually seen the night before.
  • Author
Sora nodded slightly in agreement, looking down at the sand. "A lot of last night is actually a bit fuzzy to me," he confessed. "I'm pretty sure I got hit in the head a lot." What else happened? He remembered being thrown into the ocean and then collapsing at home, but something else happened after that, right?
"That should be a good thing," Riku said, looking up at Sora. "That isn't something you should want to remember." It was a pretty bad night, from what Riku had seen. He wouldn't want to remember something as awful as that.
