Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Sora looked over at Riku when he heard his friend's voice, the teen subconsciously gripping the letter in his grasp a little more tightly. "The King wants me to take care of something," he said seriously, his lips a straight line. He didn't have a choice in the matter; this was serious, and he had to treat it that way.

"The King?" Riku said, his voice showing how alert he was now. His eyes narrowed in seriousness, as well as curiosity. "What kind of something?" He came to a stop next to Kairi, briefly looking down at her before he looked toward Sora. His eyes stopped on the letter in his hands, but then they finally rose to his friend's face.

Kairi looked worriedly from Riku to Sora. She hadn't even heard her oldest friend come over, so she didn't know how to handle what was happening now. Since Sora had revealed so much already, she figured he could do it from now on. Plus, she didn't feel right doing it anyway, since she wasn't involved.

Sora held up the letter for Riku to take, his eyes on his best friend. "See for yourself," he said. He didn't feel like explaining again, so he would let the letter answer any questions that Riku had concerning this matter.
Riku stepped forward without any sign of hesitation, taking the paper from Sora's extended hand. He held it with both of his, his head lowered so he could concentrate on the words written down. The letter was addressed to Sora, but that was to be expected, since he wielded the Keyblade to the Realm of Light. He was responsible for the safety of the worlds, which was stated as much in the letter. But then there was... Riku's eyes widened at the name listed on the paper. "No way..."

Sora kept his gaze on Riku, furrowing his eyebrows slightly. What was that a reaction to? The whole letter wasn't good, but he couldn't imagine what brought that reaction out of a normally calm, cool, and collected Riku. He waited, expecting Riku to say his thoughts on the issue.

Kairi's eyes were momentarily focused on Riku, having heard his murmur. "What is it, Riku?" she asked, curious as to why he was so...surprised.

"...It's just that..." Riku looked up from the letter in his hands. "...You have to go after the ones before us?" He never even would have thought of that as a possibility for a mission. But so far, the letter sounded pretty important. Of course, every letter from the King was serious. But still...

"Yup," Sora said with a nod. It would feel a little strange, coming in contact with older Keyblade wielders. He had only known Keybladers like Riku, Roxas, and King Mickey, so it would be weird to meet these three lost warriors. And one of them was a Master...Whoa. He would seriously feel intimidated in their presence.
Riku let his eyes fall back down to the letter, and he read the rest of it. By the time he finished, he was overwhelmed with the responsibility that seemed to linger after it. "Lost Keyblade Warriors..." he said then, not able to believe such a thing. He'd never met anyone that could wield the Keyblade outside of their group of friends. And now, Sora had to go after ones that had the Key before them?

Sora turned his gaze to the sky, his head leaning against the tree again. His heart would lead him where he had to go...but he had no clue what that meant. Would he hear the words "Go to Agrabah"? Or would he just know what to do? Before when he visited the worlds, he had an agenda that had him go to the worlds in a semi-specific order. This time, though, things would be very different.
Riku lowered the letter to his side, having a good grasp on it. It meant that there was another adventure ahead of them... "So when are we leaving?" he asked, looking up at Sora again. He probably needed to come up with a good excuse for his parents. This one could take a while.

Sora frowned, pushing himself up to his feet and facing his best friend. "I'm leaving tomorrow," he said, putting the emphasis on himself. His gaze explained the rest of his thoughts: he was doing this by himself; the letter was addressed to him, so he was responsible to search for Terra, Aqua, and Ven. He wouldn't disrupt Riku or Roxas's lives over this.
Riku caught the look on Sora's face and the emphasized word he spoke, which only caused the silver-haired teen to cross his arms. He still held the letter, though he made sure it didn't get damaged. "Forget it. Wherever one goes, the other follows," Riku told Sora. "We're not splitting up."

"It's my responsibility, not yours," Sora said, eyebrows furrowing slightly at Riku's disagreement. The brunet was a little upset that he had to leave in the first place, and he wasn't about to let Riku come along and lose the life they had both been trying to regain. Riku had a chance to live a normal life...he couldn't take that opportunity for granted.
"There was a reason both of us were named Keyblade Masters, Sora," Riku said, thinking back to his past. When he was a kid...someone was here, and they left. "A big kid", he'd called the guy, and he said it to somebody that wasn't from the Islands. Riku remembered that much, but he also recalled the Keyblade he saw such a long time ago, and the ceremonial words some stranger recited to him. That was when he first saw the Keyblade, and when he knew that he would have to handle whatever power it held in the future. "I've chosen to accept the Keyblade, and what responsibility comes with it. That responsibility includes supporting my friends."
  • Author
"Your support isn't needed this time," Sora said, taking a small step forward. "This mission isn't about fighting; it's about searching. There'll be danger, but not as much as what we had before. I can handle it." He was obviously referring to the mission they had been on together when they were soley out there to defeat Heartless. He was sure he would run into them on this journey, but if he did, he could handle them.
Riku shrugged. "So what? You know I never say no to an adventure," he said, backing up his decision to go with Sora. "Besides, any excuse you come up with me to stay here, I'll counter with a solid reason to go with you." He arched an eyebrow at his friend, challenging him to try it again. Riku was going, whether Sora approved or not.

Looks like I'm going with my backup plan, Sora thought, seeing that Riku wouldn't give up. "Fine," he said simply. If that was how Riku wanted to play it, then Sora would just leave in the middle of the night and leave Riku behind. He couldn't let Riku give up his life that easily, not for him.

Riku lowered his arms in triumph. He won this one, but it was weird how Sora gave up so easily. Better keep an eye on him in case he does something fishy, he thought silently.

"...You're both going," Kairi whispered softly. It wasn't a question, so it wasn't stated as one. Both of her boys were leaving her again, and for a very important mission. They had to find missing Keyblade wielders, which could only mean that they would have to fight Darkness along the way. Kairi was never okay with that, even if they assured her they would be fine.

  • Author
"No, we're not," Sora said, saying his thoughts aloud when he heard Kairi's whisper. He shifted his gaze from Kairi to Riku, his eyes remaining serious. "I don't care if Destiny Islands is safe or not; somebody needs to keep an eye on Kairi." Obviously he was saying that someone was Riku, since he was Kairi's best friend. Sora had no choice in the matter, but Riku did.

Riku met Sora's eyes, but then looked over at the trunk of the Paopu tree. Sora was right. Someone did need to look after Kairi while things were going on.

Kairi let her blue eyes flicker from one of her best friends to the other repeatedly. They couldn't base this off her... That wasn't fair.

"So you're staying," Sora said to Riku, not making it a question. "And I'm leaving tomorrow. I need to make up an excuse to my parents." He started walking towards the bridge by Riku and Kairi, knowing that he needed to come up with an excuse quickly so that he could focus on other preparations.

Kairi's eyes trailed Sora as he walked, but she then looked to Riku. He couldn't let Sora go by himself. As strong as she knew her boyfriend was, she didn't like him handling these kinds of things alone. "Riku..."

Riku nodded once. His aqua eyes moved from Kairi to Sora, whose back was to him now. "We'll get Roxas to do it," he called, positivity in his voice. Roxas wouldn't mind. At least, he didn't think he would.

Sora stopped, his hands tightening into fists by his sides. He hadn't even thought of that...How could he argue against that, though? Roxas was capable of protecting both the girls at once if anything happened, wasn't he? This world was a peaceful one; Kairi and Namine didn't need individual body guards...
"I think he'll like it just fine if he stayed behind, don't you?" Riku tilted his head to the side slightly, waiting for another reaction out of Sora. Apparently he'd gotten to him already, so there wasn't any harm in further expressing his thoughts. Roxas wouldn't mind; he seemed to like a break from the action. Or maybe that was just what Riku saw out of everything.
  • Author
"...I still don't need you coming along," Sora argued, his voice a little softer when he changed the direction of the conversation. He could take care of himself just fine; he had proven himself in battle when Riku saw him fighting in different circumstances...his friend knew how strong he was. He should have known that Sora would be fine without assistance.
