A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

"When will he wake up?" Sora asked, inserting a question when Aqua finished her sentence. Why was he even asleep in the first place? And how in the world did he sleep away eleven years?

Aqua frowned a little bit at the question, the answer only obvious to her. She turned her head to look at her best friend, seeing how he was silently resting. "...Whenever he gets his heart back," she revealed sadly.

 

Riku's eyes widened slightly, and he blinked in shock. Ventus lost his heart? His gaze automatically found Sora, not expecting that.

Sora automatically shifted his gaze to Ventus, his eyes showing surprise. Ven lost his heart...So, that was why he was asleep for so long and he hadn't aged at all. But that didn't make sense to him; wasn't a person's body supposed to fade away when they lost their heart? Where was Ven's heart now?

"But, I don't know where it is...and I haven't talked to Master Yen Sid to see if he's found it either." Aqua's eyes remained on her best friend, the person she treated much like her own brother. But, there wasn't anything she could do for him, and she left him here for eleven years. That was awful.

Sora glanced over at Riku before he turned back to Aqua. "If he found it, Riku and I probably would have heard about it," he said. After all, the King had sent them a letter to find the missing Keybladers, and he would have told them that kind of information if he knew anything about it.

Aqua released a small breath, nodding at that unfortunate news. Then...she would have to find it. She couldn't let Ven sleep away his life any longer. Eleven years was too long.

Sora looked back at Ven, not knowing what to say. He and Riku had been told to find the Keybladers, but it seemed like things were much more complicated than either of them had anticipated. Now they had to find Ven's heart was on top of other things they had to do.

Riku had his arms crossed over his chest, having been thinking the last few minutes. If Roxas looked like Ven, and they both looked like Sora, what did that mean? And Ven's heart was lost... There had to be come connection here, or else they wouldn't look the same. Right?

Sora looked over at Riku, seeing the expression on his face. "What're you thinking?" he asked, tilting his head slightly to get a better look at Riku's facial expression. Did he have any ideas as to what was going on here?

Riku blinked, coming out of his thoughts to find both Sora and Aqua looking at him in question. "Oh, I was just trying to sort this whole thing out," he said first. "Ven's heart is lost, right? And he looks like Roxas, who's your Nobody. But...you gained your heart back..." Riku lifted a hand to pinch the bridge of his nose, closing his eyes. "It's on the tip of my tongue." He knew he was getting somewhere with this. He just had to think it through.

"Hm," Sora hummed, crossing his arms over his chest and looking down at the ground. He tried picking up where Riku's thoughts left off, but he really wasn't sure where Riku was going with this, so he wasn't too successful. Roxas looked like Ven, but Roxas had his own heart; His Nobody wasn't Ven, because Ven was right here with them. So...where was Ven's heart?

Riku kept his position, forcing himself to think through this even further. Roxas was for sure Sora's Nobody, but there was a reason he looked like Ventus. Now what was it? Roxas was a Nobody, but Ven wasn't. But... "Nobodies look like their former selves," Riku stated then, remembering that they just discussed this with Aqua.

Sora looked up at Riku, eyebrows furrowed slightly in concentration. "There's no way Roxas could be Ven's Nobody," he said aloud, shaking his head. After all, Ven had been here the past eleven years without being disturbed. And besides, Roxas was Sora's Nobody. There was no doubt about that.

"I know," Riku said calmly, lowering his hand away from his face. He opened his eyes to look at his best friend. "But his heart was lost eleven years ago. Roxas wasn't even created, so that only leaves one option..." He figured it out, which made him stay completely still. It was a long shot, but he knew it was right. There wasn't any other way around it that he could think of.

Sora arched a brow, not understanding where Riku was going with this. What was the one other option? He had a feeling it had to do with himself, but still, he didn't know what was going on. He tried piecing it together himself while he waited for Riku to come out and say it.

Riku looked from Sora to Aqua, who was staring at him intently. "It took me a little bit, but I think I know where Ven's heart is," he said. At Aqua's eager look, he lifted a hand and looked to Sora, pointing his finger at Sora's chest. "Here."

Sora's other eyebrow came up with the other one, surprise in his eyes. What...? he thought in wonder, looking down and seeing Riku's finger pointing at his chest. Ventus's heart...it was inside of him? That was crazy!

Aqua's lips parted in disbelief, her eyes moving to the youngest person in the room. "You're saying...Ven is within Sora?" she asked, her disbelief evident in her tone. There was no way... How?

 

"Yes," Riku said with a nod, lowering his hand. "Think about it. Ventus lost his heart when we were little, and last year Sora found Roxas, who just so happens to look identical to Ven." He motioned to the person in the room that was sleeping. "Logically, a Nobody resembles their Somebody. Even though Roxas is technically Sora's Nobody, he takes on Ven's appearance because Ven's heart is inside Sora, right now. So Roxas resembles Ventus because part of him was extracted when Sora gave up his heart." Riku looked to both the people in front of him. "Make sense?"

Sora furrowed his eyebrows slightly, looking down at the ground. Riku's logic made sense. So much sense that it was eerie. How could Ven's heart have been inside him so long and he didn't know it? Better yet, how had it even gotten there? It must have come to him when he was pretty little, because he didn't remember anything at all concerning another heart inside of him.

Aqua kept her eyes on Sora, silently gazing at him. "I think...you may be onto something," she said softly. "When I first returned to the Realm of Light, I could've sworn I saw Ventus on the shore... But it was really you." Near the end of her sentence, she was talking directly to Sora. Riku had to have been on the right track; it just felt right.

Sora looked up at Aqua when she spoke to him, but then he looked to Ventus on the seat. Unbelievably, he felt like Aqua and Riku were right. Somehow, Ven was a part of him. That actually explained a lot, like how he felt like he knew Aqua and was really concerned over Terra's safety. And also, it explained his emotions felt like they didn't belong to him sometimes. There were plenty of other things that this explained, but he didn't bother thinking through all of them at that moment.

"But Roxas, you say he has a heart of his own," Aqua said, glancing from Sora to Riku. When she continued, she looked at her best friend. "So that means he and Ventus are two completely different people... But that also means that we still have to free Ventus's heart in order for him to wake up."

 

Riku furrowed his eyebrows as he listened to what Aqua was saying, and he knew immediately that in order to do that...Sora would have to free Ven's heart. And if that happened...

Sora looked up at Riku, feeling his friend's gaze on him. Both of them knew what it meant to free another person's heart, since Sora had done it before. He...would have to lose his life in order to free Ven's heart. He had done the same thing when he released Kairi's heart a while ago.

"The only way to free a heart is by extracting it," Riku said, turning to look at Aqua. "But we can't risk doing that; we'd lose Sora in the process."

 

Aqua lifted her gaze to the older boy and silently nodded. She understood... But how could they get Ven's heart back then?

Sora looked down at Ven again, his arms coming down to his sides in thought. Sacrificing himself was out of the question; he knew that nobody would let him do that even if he wanted to. How had Ven lost his heart in the first place? Maybe that would help them find a way to help him get it back.
