A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Kairi pulled back after a second, looking up at her best friend. "I heard about everything," she said softly. "I'm so glad you're alright..."

 

Riku saw the look on Kairi's face and then looked past her to Sora. She looked really scared...and worried. "You told her about the X-blade, didn't you?" he asked quietly. That would explain the way she was looking at him, wouldn't it?

Sora was tempted to bring a hand to his forehead, but he didn't. Instead, he looked down at the ground. "Nope," he said simply. Riku had just done that.

Kairi furrowed her eyebrows at Riku, but then she turned around a little, looking at Sora. "X-blade?" she said then, prompting for an explanation. Sora left something out? Why would he do that?

 

Riku crossed one arm over his chest and rested his elbow against it, bringing a hand to his forehead. Great. He just walked into dangerous territory...

Sora frowned, looking down towards the ground and avoiding Kairi's gaze. "It's nothing," he insisted as calmly as he good. Jeez, why did Riku have to ask that question? He had been hoping to pull him aside and tell him not to talk about it in front of Kairi, but now it was too late.

Kairi shook her head slightly. It wasn't nothing, not to her. It was obviously important if Riku thought it was what made her scared. Riku must have sensed that, because he spoke then.

 

"Don't lie to her," Riku said, keeping his hand on his forehead and his eyes closed. "It won't work." If there was one thing Kairi was, it was stubborn.

Sora lifted his gaze to Riku, eyebrows furrowed slightly. "She knows the basics of what happened," he said while keeping his voice fairly calm. "That's enough." That alone had been awful for her to hear, which explained why she looked sad and afraid before.

Kairi bit her lip, but then she spoke. "Is it really that awful?" she asked softly. She wanted to know what exactly revolved around the X-blade, but she was kind of afraid too.

Sora looked down towards the ground again, crossing his arms over his chest. Anything involving the X-blade is awful, he thought, though he kept that to himself. That whole thing had been terrible...

Riku lowered his hand from his face and looked over at Sora. But then his eyes found Kairi, who turned to look at him. "Uh...maybe another time," he said softly. Sora obviously didn't feel up to it...

Sora kept his gaze down, hearing Riku's quiet words. But he knew Kairi, and he knew the feeling in his heart. She only wanted to know more now that they were pushing it away, and by how Sora was acting. She wouldn't let this go...

Kairi frowned, turning her eyes to Sora. "You kept this from me?" she asked. "You didn't think I could handle it?" She was stronger than that...even if it was hard to hear. Sora knew that.

Sora didn't look up, hearing anger in Kairi's voice. "I..." he tried softly, though he didn't know what to say. He just didn't want Kairi to be too burdened by it. He remembered how she reacted the last time he had been in terrible danger and dead in a way. It was the same this time; he almost died because of the experiments they did on him.

Kairi didn't say anything, not really knowing how to respond. Did Sora think that she was too fragile to hear about it? Maybe she was, in a way, but didn't she have the right to know what happened to her best friends?

"...The problem's solved now, so there's no point in talking about it," Sora said softly, still not looking up. But he knew that answer wouldn't work for Kairi; she was stubborn, like Riku said. But how could he break the truth to her?

"Uh, Sora? I think we have a new problem on our hands," Riku said, scratching his cheek. He was referring to Kairi, of course.

 

Kairi turned her head to glare at Riku, looking at him with disapproval. That wasn't very nice, but neither was the fact that she was out of the loop, when she thought she had the whole story.

"...Yeah, I know," Sora said without looking up. He could tell how angry Kairi was getting now...But wouldn't she rather be angry than hurt? He knew that she wouldn't really give him a choice in the matter; she would pester him or ignore him until he told her what happened. And then she woudl realize why he kept it from her.

Kairi didn't know what to do, since the boys both seemed like they didn't want to talk or begin. "Just forget I asked," she said softly, looking toward the ground. It wasn't nice of them, to keep something so serious from her. But she knew that no matter how stubborn she was being, they weren't going to tell her. It was no use...

Sora heard Kairi's words, but he knew she didn't mean them. She wanted to know..."Xemnas figured out a new way to create the X-blade," he said softly. "And he did it." He succeeded at it, somehow. Sora couldn't even remember exactly how it happened.

Kairi's eyes found Sora again. So he was actually going to talk about it? She didn't say anything, just listening.

Sora shut his eyes, stiff as he told Kairi the truth. "They didn't use Ventus to make it this time. They used me. My heart..." And it almost killed him in the process. It would have, if he wasn't so determined to live and fight for his friends.

Kairi turned her head to look at Riku with wide eyes, only to see him nod in confirmation. She then looked back to Sora, waiting to hear more...even though it was a little too much already. Maybe, when it came to Sora's heart and the pain to it, she wasn't as strong as she thought she was...

Sora kept his eyes shut, though he felt at least one gaze on him. "I almost didn't survive," he said softly. And that was really all that he could say on the subject. He was surprised when he felt emotion rise up inside him, and he swallowed to keep it down.

But you did... Kairi thought silently. That was what was most important. Even if Xemnas managed to create the X-blade from Sora's heart, she was just happy he was here...

Xemnas almost killed all my friends with a weapon forged from my heart...Sora thought, feeling sad and hurt. He had tried resisting, hadn't he? Of course he had...So how did Xemnas still form the X-blade? Vexen must have hurt his heart pretty badly to have it submit...

Kairi felt a flood of emotions wash over her heart, and she couldn't help what she did next. She walked forward the few feet between her and Sora and wordlessly hugged him, wrapping her arms under his and around his back. She buried her face in his shoulder, not saying a word.
