Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"And?" Namine asked after a moment, having taken a second to digest what Riku just said. Roxas and Axel were here? She must have been asleep. She wished she could have seen them both, though she was especially sad she missed Roxas.
Riku shrugged. "They're making progress, though not as fast as they'd hoped," he answered, not hinting at the awful consequences of them being too late. The thought of that... It didn't sit well with him.

"Oh," Namine said softly, not asking any questions. She just figured that Roxas wanted to get the cure as quickly as possible since he hated to see her sick. She didn't even guess that this disease could be as awful as it was.
Riku nodded a little, humming slightly. "...Roxas came in to see you, but you were sleeping, so..." There wasn't much to be said about that, since there wasn't much that happened anyway.

Namine felt sad at that, but again she just nodded faintly into her pillow. He had been there, with her..."So I guess one time you weren't lying when you said I missed him because I was sleeping," she joked weakly, a faint smile appearing on her lips.
Riku smiled softly. "Right," he said with a nod. Yeah, that part he hadn't been lying about. But the rest were all but the truth.

Namine let her faint smile fade away after a few moments, too weak to keep it on. She was glad that she had answers, but now she was going to worry about Roxas. That was probably why Riku hadn't told her in the first place.
"Uh...I guess I'll leave you to rest," Riku said, scratching his cheek at the silence. He then pushed himself up from the chair. "One of us will be back to check on you to see if you need anything."

"Okay," Namine said softly in understanding. Riku probably knew that if he stayed in her room, she would want to stay awake to be with her friend even if they weren't talking. He knew her pretty well.
Riku offered Namine a small smile before departing, heading for the door. He left her room in silence, shutting the door behind him quietly.

Two days later...

Namine's health continued to decline, and she was sleeping even more often than she already had been. And she was hardly eating and drinking, to the concern of Riku and her other friends. But the blonde was awake now, and gathering some strength so that she could ask Riku a question while he sat in the chair right by her bed.

Riku stared down at the floor, not knowing what to do or say...or even think. Namine was getting worse; everybody could see it. He was sure she did too. But Roxas...he wasn't back yet, so he didn't know. But he was probably aware of how time wasn't on their side this time.

Namine was already rolled over onto her side, facing towards Riku. "Hey, Riku?" she whispered, her tired blue eyes on the boy who was by her side most of the time when she was awake.
"Hm?" Riku said, lifting his eyes to the tired ones of the girl before him. Man, she looked exhausted. The Darkness was really eating away at her, wasn't it?

"Do you think...it'll snow again, anytime soon?" Namine asked softly, the question having been on her mind for a little while now. As far as she knew, there was still snow on the ground, and it was cold outside.
Riku was a little surprised by the question, but he answered the question. "Uh, yeah. I'm sure it will," he said softly, nodding a little.
  • Author
"That's good," Namine whispered, shutting her eyes and gathering some more strength so she could explain where the question came from. "I want to play in it...when I get better."
Riku wasn't sure what to say to that, Namine's words catching him a little off guard; they stirred sadness in him. "...I'm sure Roxas would love to take you," he said, voice gentle.
  • Author
"And you too..." Namine said, opening her eyes and looking at Riku again. She wanted to play in the snow with all of her friends, though she didn't have the energy to finish her sentence. But she felt like Riku knew her well enough to know she wanted to be with everyone.
Riku couldn't help but smile weakly. "Yeah...us too," he said with another small nod. When she got better...they would.
  • Author
"It'll be fun," Namine whispered, closing her eyes again because of weakness. All of her friends would be back together. Roxas would be home again...She couldn't wait for that. She really missed his hugs. Or any hugs, really. Since Riku was the one who sat with her all the time, she didn't get any hugs. He just wasn't the type to give them.
Riku hummed slightly, not knowing how else to respond. His aqua eyes rested on Namine, sadness in them. He hoped Roxas and Axel were on their way. He didn't know how much longer Namine had.

Namine exhaled a soft breath through her nose, feeling like she was about to pass out again. She wasn't surprised; that conversation took a lot of energy. She would let herself lose consciousness again, and hopefully when she woke up, Roxas would be there with a cure. She felt terrible.
If anyone would hurry, it would be Roxas. Riku knew that much. It just required a little faith... Namine would be alright.

Namine felt consciousness slip away, and though she didn't know it at the time, that would be the last time that she woke up. A few hours later, death came to her in her sleep. Quick, painless death.
