A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Aqua frowned, sad at the way Ven held himself. Even if he defied her when she asked him to stay here, it was still hard to be mad at him.

"So, most of the things you looked through were about the experiments Vexen did?" Terra asked, forgiving Ventus and moving on with the conversation.

 

Ven's sadness started to fade away, the teen looking up and nodding to Terra. "Yeah. There wasn't anything specifically about Xehanort, so I read the stuff about him recovering his memory."

"And?" Aqua prodded gently. What else did he know? Were there any specifics about the recovery process that were particularly important?

"I couldn't understand most of it," Ven said, shaking his head in disappointment. "But I found out Xehanort recovered his memory when he went into a...pod, thing. Like the one that Sora slept in for a year." And then he didn't understand the rest, but he did get the memories back about his life as Master Xehanort. Ven was leaving out something else, though.

Aqua crossed one arm over her chest, the other resting against it as she lifted a hand to her chin. That was interesting...

"...Sorry, Terra, but that was all I could find," Ven said sadly, looking over at his male best friend. That was all he had to offer.

 

"It's alright," Terra mumbled softly, looking towards the ground. Of course it wasn't really alright, but what was he supposed to say? There just wasn't any information anywhere...It couldn't have been helped.

Aqua turned her eyes to Terra, seeing his expression, but then she looked to Ven. "I'm sure Terra appreciates the help, Ven," she said with a small nod. It was a nice gesture, for him to go out of his way to help Terra.

Ven saw Terra nod faintly in agreement, but he starting talking to make things better. "But I think that I can help you find out more about Master Xehanort," he said to mostly Terra. "He was my master before, so if Xehanort could recover his memories from his past life, maybe I could recover mine too." He would know a lot about his former master.

Aqua lifted an eyebrow. "What do you mean?" she asked Ven softly. How was he going to do that, exactly?

"If I went into a memory pod, then maybe I could recover my memory from when Xehanort was my master," Ven explained. "And then I'd know a lot about him and be able to help Terra." That was what he really wanted to do--help Terra.

Aqua's eyes widened at the suggestion, her arms lowering to her sides. Ven wanted to do that? No... He couldn't.

Sora was asleep in a memory pod for a year, Terra thought, staring at the ground in thought. Ventus can't sleep away any more years of his life...He just can't. And I can't live without my best friend around.

 

"Uh, guys?" Ven asked, seeing both of their expressions. They should have been happy that he came up with a solution. What was the problem here? He didn't care if he slept for a while if it helped Terra.

Aqua turned her head, looking up at the man beside her. "Terra?" she asked, wanting his thoughts on this. She didn't think Ven was making the right decision here. She didn't want him risking anything.

Terra could tell by the fact that Aqua turned to him that she didn't like this idea. That was alright, because he didn't like it either. He took a small step forward, setting a hand on Ven's shoulder and looking him in the eye. "Ven, I appreciate that you'd be willing to make that kind of sacrifice for me," he started. "But it's risky to put you in one of those pods. Who knows how long you'd sleep? We can't do that..." No matter how badly he wanted to know more about Xehanort.

Aqua was actually quite glad that Terra was thinking along the same lines as she was. She turned her attention to Ven to see how he would react.

"But...Terra...You really want to know about Xehanort, don't you?" Ven asked then. He already knew the answer to that, since Terra wouldn't have left to do research if he wasn't serious about this search. Ven wanted to help.

 

"Not at the expense of losing my friend for a little while," Terra replied calmly, though he did tighten his grip on Ven's shoulder because of how badly he wanted to know more about Xehanort. But he was being truthful with what he said; he wouldn't risk losing Ventus for his search.

Aqua's eyes softened, the young woman pressing her lips together at what was happening. Ven was sweet for the offer, but like Terra, she didn't want to have Ven sacrifice himself.

Terra saw Ven open his mouth to protest, but Terra just shook his head. "No, Ven," he said gently, but firmly. "We're not going to do this, no matter what you say. Okay?"

 

Ven frowned, sad that Terra wouldn't let him help him. But he nodded faintly, with made Terra nod in return and take his hand off his shoulder. They wouldn't do it, then.

Aqua looked from Terra to Ven in silence. She wasn't sure what to say or do, considering what had just been offered and denied. She knew Ven wanted to help, but he couldn't in the way he wished.

Terra saw Ven's sad expression, and the man briefly glanced over at Aqua. He didn't know what to say to make Ven feel better; he was pretty down himself. And he was still tired after losing sleep the past few days. "I'm gonna head back to the house and get some rest," he said. And maybe they would want to come with, since he figured none of them were sleeping much with this search on their minds.

Aqua looked to Terra and nodded. "Mm," she said. "Me too." She was quite tired, and her back was sore due to her position sleeping last night.

"I think I'm just gonna stay on the beach and get some sleep," Ven said with a weak smile. It was a really nice day, after all. "So I'll see you guys later." He waved and then started walking so he would be right by the shoreline, where the waves would be a nice lullaby to fall asleep to.

"See you later, Ven," Aqua called softly, her eyes trailing the boy. She released a small breath and looked to Terra. She was ready to go when he was.

Terra watched Ven walk away a little bit, but then he became aware of the gaze that was on him. He grunted slightly in surprise and realization, the man knowing what Aqua was expressing through her gaze. He turned and started for home, trusting she would be close by.

Aqua followed wordlessly, one step behind Terra. She wasn't as tired as she could have been, but a nice nap wouldn't hurt anything.
