Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Aqua set her footing before lifting the Keyblade with both hands, revealing the Keyhole to the Chamber. When it was visible, she steadily pulled the Keyblade back by her shoulder with both hands, concentrating before thrusting it forward, toward the lock. She closed her eyes at the bright light, but after hearing the latch unlock, she opened them to see the light fading and revealing the door to Ventus's resting place.

Ventus opened his eyes, blinking twice when he thought he heard a noise from outside. This caught his attention, and for the first time, he rose to his feet and looked around the room. He definitely didn't fall asleep here...where was he? He set a hand on the chair beside him to steady himself, his bright blue eyes scanning over this unfamiliar place.
Aqua ordered her Keyblade away once the door was in front of her, and she turned to look over her shoulder at Riku. She met his gaze and offered him the sweetest of smiles she could muster. When he simply looked down at the ground, she turned forward again, her smile fading. However, as she stepped toward the door, she knew her smile would return upon seeing Ven...alive and moving. After all these years.

Ven turned towards the other side of the room, very confused at his surroundings. How did he get here? He shut his eyes and tried to remember, everything seeming a bit fuzzy. He had the weirdest dream...He was living inside another boy for a long time, seeing things from his point of view and secretly standing by his side in any hardship he faced. But the dream felt so real! It was incredible.
Aqua stopped by the door and put her hand on the handle, finding herself frozen in anticipation and excitement. Finally, after a few seconds' hesitation, she used her strength to pull on the door. She stepped back as she pulled it open, having to because of its weight.

Ventus's eyes widened slightly at the sound of a door, and for the first time, he turned back around and saw the door that had been in front of him all along. He blinked at the brightness of the light that entered the room, the teen unable to see who had opened it from his position. Who was there? He felt nervous, not knowing what to expect.
Aqua stepped over, coming more into the doorway instead of being half-hidden by the large door. "...Ven?" she called, taking a few steps in. When she stopped, her eyes found him. Her best friend... He was finally awake!

Ven immediately felt his worries vanish, a smile appearing on his lips at the sight of one of his best friends. "Aqua!" he cried happily, moving his feet and running over towards her. She was here, with him!
Aqua's eyes brightened, her lips spreading into a wide smile at the reply she got. She took a few quick steps forward and opened her arms to her best friend, wanting to do nothing but hug him after all this time.

Ven reached Aqua in a few steps, his arms going around the girl that he thought of as a big sister. A few soft, happy chuckles left his lips, the boy happy at how things had changed. He wasn't alone; he was with his best friend. He left all his confusing thoughts behind, focusing on this one positive thing.
Aqua wrapped her arms around the younger boy, holding him close. "Ven," she said, her smile in her voice. She was so glad he was okay...and conscious. He had been asleep for far too long.

"Hey, Aqua," Ven greeted, his voice as optimistic as it usually was. He had a lot of reasons to be happy right now; he felt very well rested after his nap, and he was with his best friend. It would have only been better if the third member of their trio was here. Where was Terra...?
Aqua closed her eyes as she hugged her best friend, when she really felt like she was embracing her little brother. She was so protective of him, and she was glad that he had been safe these past ten or eleven years. And now, she would make sure that she kept him safe. Aqua couldn't lose him again.

Ven shut his eyes, just feeling comfortable. But he couldn't stop thinking about why he could have been asleep in the first place. It felt like it had been an eternity ago that he went to sleep, and it was because of...His eyes opened, wider than usual. Vanitas! But...he had won that battle, and his heart was gone because of that. He had expected to die...How was he alive after that.

After a minute or so of silence, Aqua pulled back from the embrace, setting her hands on Ven's shoulders as she looked at him. "I'm so glad you're okay," she said with a gleeful smile. He was alive and well, and that was all she could ask for.

Riku remained outside the Chamber of Waking, having set Sora down and carefully leaned him against one of the white walls closest to the door. He stood there, looking down at his friend as he stood a couple feet in front of him, a sad look on his face. How could he let this happen to Sora? What would Kairi think?

Ven's hands came back down to his side, his bright blue eyes finding Aqua's. "Yeah, me too," he said with a weak smile, now recalling why he must have fallen asleep in the first place. Something happened to save him after he finished off Vanitas...but what? Did his dream have anything to do with it?
Aqua's smile softened after a second, her hands remaining on Ven's shoulders. "There's so much I need to tell you," she said then, referring to multiple things. On a positive note, she knew where Terra was, the true Terra. But on the bad side of things, Sora was gone...and Master Xehanort was the one responsible.

"Yeah?" Ventus asked curiously. "What's that?" Did it have anything to do with all these questions inside his head about his sleep? How long had he been napping, anyway? Was it even considered a nap? And what was this place...?

Aqua let her hands fall from her friend's shoulders, standing up straight. "We should start from what you last remember," she said, her smile fading a little more at the thought of the boy. Vanitas. It wasn't a pleasant memory, but she knew that after that, Ven had gone into his sleep. She needed to start there.

I'm supposed to protect him, Riku thought, staring at Sora's lifeless face. And I've done anything but. Kairi was going to be so upset when she found out about this... She'd be upset with him, since he always promised her that he would take care of Sora. And now... Now, he was...gone.

Ven looked down to the ground at that, his facial expression changing from curious to more serious and sad. "I fought him...inside my heart," he said softly, knowing that Aqua would understand who he was referring to. "But when I won, my heart just...left, I guess." He wasn't exactly sure, but if he remembered correctly, that was what happened.
"You don't remember anything else?" Aqua asked, tilting her head a little. Did he remember his heart merging with Sora's? Or was that something she would have to explain to him herself?

"I...had this really weird dream," Ven said, not sure if it was significant or not. "When I was lost, I thought I heard...a voice, call out to me. And then when I found him, I joined with his heart and lived with him for years." He looked up at Aqua, a faint smile appearing on his lips because he believed it was only a dream. "Crazy, huh?"
Aqua's eyes softened at her friend's expression, and she knew that she would have to explain. "Ven..." she started gently, looking at him. "...You weren't dreaming." The boy he was talking about was right outside this door, unconscious, just like Ven had been.

Ven's faint smile went away, the boy surprised at what Aqua said. It...wasn't a dream? That was nuts. He had been with that boy, Sora, for eleven years. Did that mean that he...How long was I asleep? He wondered, his expression showing that Aqua needed to explain.
Aqua dreaded telling Ventus what happened after so long, but she knew she would have to. "After your fight with Vanitas," she started softly, "everything in the Keyblade Graveyard was falling apart. I grabbed you while I still could, and when I woke up, we were both at Master Yen Sid's. You were asleep, Ven, and I brought you here until you could wake up."
