A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Terra kept up with Aqua, sensing that the girl was no longer approaching him and she wasn't within earshot. "Thanks," he said to his best friend. Even if this meant he had to dance, he was fine with it as long as it got him out of an awkward position.

"It's what I'm here for," Aqua said, glancing over her shoulder at Terra as they weaved through people. What were friends for? Situations like that, of course. She wasn't about to make him suffer.

Terra couldn't help but smile at Aqua's comment, his grasp on her tightening a little as they went through the crowd. He appreciated her watching out for him, so he would make sure she had fun with this dance. He hoped he wasn't too rusty.

Aqua led Terra a few more feet forward before she stopped, turning around to face him. Another song just started, a slow one, unlike the last that just finished. She slipped her hand out of Terra's and instead brought it up to his shoulder, the other open for him to take.

Terra's one hand found Aqua's waist while the other reached forward and lightly grasped her hand. He was surprised that a slow song started now, and he was especially thankful that Aqua asked him to dance instead of letting him dance with a stranger. He just hoped she wouldn't find it awkward that they were slow dancing together since they weren't in a relationship.

Aqua glanced from the hand that took hers to the source, her eyes finding Terra's. "At least act like you're enjoying yourself, okay?" she said with a small smile, remembering how bored he said he was. She was kidding a little bit, but she was also serious.

"Hm," Terra hummed a nod, his grasp on Aqua's hand tightening subconsciously. "I will." He wouldn't let himself fell awkward with his best friend. They had been through so much more than this slow song; he wouldn't let this catch him off guard in any way.

Aqua's smile softened some, her eyes staying focused on Terra for the time being. She stepped with him, remembering her training for formal occasions like this. She believed Terra would remember too, and if not, this would be quite humorous.

Terra smiled softly at his best friend, starting to dance as well. He noticed couples all around him dancing more closely than he and Aqua were, because they were actually going out. Aqua...She was his best friend. She wasn't his girlfriend, or anything like that. And he was fortunate to have a loyal female companion who he didn't have to worry about impressing. But, wasn't that what it was like for people like Sora and Kairi and Roxas and Namine? They never tried to impress each other, and they were best friends.

As they danced to the slow music, Aqua's eyes were locked on Terra's. The last time they had danced together was when they were in training with Master Eraqus, so long ago. It was nice to be doing this again, after all they went through. They were closer now, so it wasn't as awkward as before.

Terra noticed that Aqua was staring into his eyes, and he was staring back into hers, though he was lost in thought. He knew that best friends didn't always fall in love. Sometimes friendships were supposed to stay at that level. But...He and Aqua were more than just best friends in his eyes. The word "best" couldn't describe how close he felt to her. And now, all of a sudden, he felt these other feelings rising up inside his heart. Romantic feels that he recognized from Alexandra, but they were directed towards somebody else. That somebody...was Aqua.

For some reason, Aqua actually felt herself become shy. Her gaze dropped from Terra's then, looking at their feet as they danced. Something weird just washed over her, but what was it? What caused it?

Terra felt himself blush when Aqua looked away, the man also diverting his gaze. How could this even be happening? Just yesterday, he had only viewed Aqua as a friend. And now he had all these feelings towards her? Where were they coming from? And why did he feel so at peace thinking this way about his best friend? This was so strange, so sudden...

Aqua tried not to contemplate it, knowing that it could possibly mess up her footing. She lifted her gaze to Terra's tie, staring at the solid black fabric as she tried to get her thoughts to leave her.

Thankfully, Terra's cheeks returned to their normal color before Aqua noticed that they were pink in the first place. And the song ended pretty quickly. Or did that take a while? Time seemed a bit distorted because of his thoughts and revelations during the dance.

Aqua snapped out of her thoughts long enough to notice that the song was ending, which made her lift her eyes. They found Terra immediately, and she started to loosen her hold on him. Well, that was fun while it lasted.

Terra glanced over at the DJ and heard him make an announcement about there being a quick break from the music. He wasn't sure if he was pleased about that or not; he almost wanted to ask Aqua to dance again. But no, now he needed to think through everything. He looked down at Aqua and loosened his hold on her, though his hand still lightly held hers. "Good dance," he said with a faint nod. She hadn't lost any skill, even if slow dancing was easy. She was very graceful.

Aqua's lips spread into a warm smile and she nodded, for some reason not minding that Terra's hand still held hers. "You too. I see you haven't forgotten anything," she said. As much as he didn't like to dance, Terra was quite good at it.

"You neither," Terra said, his faint smile turning into a small smirk as he got more comfortable with his best friend again. "It'd be interesting to see what would happen if they had real dance music playing," he said, referring to things like the tango and waltzing. He and Aqua were both especially skilled at those types of dances.

Aqua's smile grew a little. "I wouldn't be surprised if somebody requested it," she admitted. Maybe even she would. Those dances were always fun.

"If somebody does, I guess I'd be willing to dance again," Terra said with a light shrug, trying not to make a big deal out of things. It would be fun to show off with Aqua, since they never got a chance to gloat too much in front of Ven and Master Eraqus.

Aqua's hand moved slightly from Terra's shoulder. "Great," she said. She would do it then, when some time passed. It would be fun for them to dance like that together. It had been a while.

Terra noticed Aqua rub his shoulder a little bit, something he never would have thought about before. He looked over to the side and saw all his other friends gathered. "Looks like everyone's together over there," he said, motioning his head in their direction.

"Want to join them?" Aqua asked, looking over in that direction. Terra was right, they were all there. Since there was a break in music, it would make sense if they did.

"Yeah, let's go," Terra said, turning and starting towards them. He kept a light grip on Aqua's hand just so he wouldn't lose her in the crowd. Or rather, that was what he told himself.
