Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Roxas looked in the opposite direction, towards the water rolling in since he was closest. It lapped at his feet as he remained silent, not knowing how to respond. He thought he had been doing pretty well covering up his problems. He guessed Namine just noticed a little too much.

Namine noticed Roxas's silence, and it just confirmed her suspicions that things weren't completely right. "What's wrong?" she asked gently. He hadn't even come out and said there was a problem yet, but Namine could tell. She knew him too well not to notice the changes in him.
Roxas kept walking at their leisurely pace, but he didn't say anything at first. He shook his head slightly. "It's not your burden to bear," he said softly, glancing at Namine briefly before looking back down at the water lapping in at his feet. He didn't want her worrying about it, especially since it was about her.

Namine looked over at Roxas, eyes softening at his words. "Your burdens are my burdens too," she said quietly. She loved him, so of course she wanted to help him whenever he was down or upset about something.
Not this one, Roxas wanted to say, but he bit his tongue. Namine didn't need to know about this problem. It was internal, and very personal, even if she was involved. Actually, she was the center of it, which was unfortunate. He didn't want that.

Namine stopped walking, her hand releasing her dress as she reached forward and gripped Roxas's wrist. "Talk to me," she requested gently. She wasn't going to keep walking until he did, even if the air was getting cooler.
Roxas's head turned sharply to Namine then, a step ahead of her due to her stopping first. His eyes locked onto hers and her beautiful face. He couldn't see it hurt, or lifeless...like he had a while ago. "...I can't," Roxas answered, voice soft. He couldn't tell her about this, he just couldn't.
  • Author
"Why not?" Namine asked, wanting Roxas to open up and elaborate. Whatever was wrong was pretty bad, but she had no clue what it could have been. Things had been fine lately...But he had been quiet for a while, too. When did that start exactly?
Roxas looked away, not wanting to answer the question. How was he supposed to anyway? Namine didn't know that she...that she died! She left him, and she didn't even know about it... And it had been the worst moment of his life, ever.

Namine kept a light hold on Roxas's wrist, looking at him even after he looked away. "Roxas..." That was all she could think to say to him right now. This was really eating at him, wasn't it?
Roxas's eyes fell closed at the way Namine said his name, and he released a soft breath. He let the ocean waves be the only sound that filled the silence before he finally spoke. "...I'll be alright," he told Namine quietly. He just couldn't tell her what was wrong; she'd be terrified...wouldn't she?

Namine shook her head faintly, releasing Roxas's wrist. "Not if we don't talk about it," she disagreed softly. He wasn't going to be alright, because this obviously was hurting him. She wanted to help him...
Roxas opened his eyes to look at Namine then, but he couldn't give in to what she just said. "Maybe it's better if we don't," he told her. He may suffer from what was going on inside his head, but Namine didn't need to. Ever. The thoughts were too haunting sometimes.
  • Author
"Why?" Namine asked, looking at Roxas. She could tell that he didn't want her prying, but she had to know what was causing him so much heartache. Why couldn't he just open up and let her help him?
"Because..." Roxas started, lowering his eyes to the sand beneath his feet as he looked for his best answer. One he could say that wouldn't give away too much information. "...You shouldn't have to carry its weight." It had the possibility of being with Namine for a while, and he didn't want that. He'd been holding it for quite a while now.
  • Author
"But you should?" Namine asked in question, not believing that was true. No, he shouldn't have had to carry the burden, especially not by himself. "I want to help you carry it, Roxas..." Why was he being so unreasonable? They always shared things with each other.
"No, Namine," Roxas said, lowering his head as he glared at the ground. He wasn't about to let her get her way, not with this. It was terrible, and scary. He was terrified every day because of it, and he didn't want her to see that, or worse--experience it herself.
  • Author
Namine didn't know what to say, Roxas's firmness startling her a little. No? Didn't he see that now she was going to be concerned for him? He needed to fill her in, or else she would ask somebody else if they knew what was wrong.
Roxas furrowed his eyebrows, one of his hands curling into a fist. That was it. That was all he was telling her; it was a burden to him, but it was too awful for her to carry with him. "...Conversation's over," he said, turning to start walking at his leisurely pace again.

Namine opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. Seriously? He was just walking away? How could he do that? She felt hurt that he wouldn't open up, her feelings keeping her standing still on the beach.
Roxas sighed softly, still walking. His eyes were down on the water that rolled back out to sea, his shoes still in his grasp. He didn't want to talk about it anymore. He couldn't tell Namine that her death freaked him out, and now he was even more scared than ever. It wouldn't be good for her to know.
  • Author
Namine tilted her head slightly, watching Roxas keep walking before she turned a little and looked out at the ocean. He wasn't going to tell her...But she needed to know what was wrong. Would somebody else know what was going on? Sora? No...He was probably focusing on Kairi these days. Maybe Riku, since he often saw things nobody else did.
Roxas furrowed his eyebrows slightly, glancing over his shoulder. That was when he stopped, turning around a little to look at the person who was still back a few feet. "Namine," he called. Was she coming?
  • Author
"You go ahead," Namine said softly without looking. She couldn't really enjoy walking with him knowing that he wouldn't open up to her about something that was obviously important to him. And if she told him she was going to Riku's...Well, he wouldn't like it.
Roxas arched an eyebrow. "I thought I was walking you home," he said. Namine wanted to walk home by herself now? Because he wouldn't tell her what was wrong?
