Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Mm," Riku hummed, though his voice held a bitterness to it when he spoke again. "Sounds like the darker Roxas to me." He remembered how he used to talk, back when he, Sora, and Riku were all on the Heartless mission together. It sounded like that attitude was resurfacing.

Namine looked up at Riku in surprise, hearing his words and tone. Huh? The darker Roxas? What was that supposed to mean? He had been more serious and different in the past, but Riku sounded especially bitter about Roxas having that type of attitude. Why?
Riku looked away, down at the countertop and to the side. "...Hated that side of him," he muttered under his breath. It could get unpleasant, and Namine didn't need that.

"What are you talking about?" Namine asked, confused. Riku really wasn't making much sense to her here; she hoped he would elaborate.
Riku's eyes found Namine again, but he didn't immediately answer. Instead, he knew he had to think about how to correctly word his reply; he didn't want to make things obviously worse. "Roxas didn't have a pleasant attitude with me in the past," Riku stated. "I don't want him being the same with you."

Namine looked down in thought, realizing that it was probably because of how Riku attacked Roxas in the past. But..."But I didn't do anything wrong, did I?" she asked, looking back up at him. "N-not that you did," she stuttered quickly, realizing that she could be misinterpreted. Riku had been doing what he thought was best for Sora; whether that was right or wrong was debatable. But that wasn't what she was here to talk about.
"If you did, you probably didn't mean to," Riku answered, leaning against the counter as he looked at her. "You're too kind, Namine. If you aren't aware of what you did, you're most likely innocent."

Namine nodded slightly, looking down again. "And he's been this way for such a long time, too," she said softly. "It's been this way since..." She trailed off, thinking about it. She couldn't really remember when it started. If she remembered correctly, she had first seen something off with him a few days after her recovery. Did she do something wrong when she was sick?
"Since you were sick," Riku finished for her, already too aware of what direction this was going. That was when Roxas had started to change anyway, and it made sense. What happened to Namine was...horrible.

Namine's eyes found Riku again, and she nodded once more to say that he was correct. "Did I say something dumb to him when I was sick?" she asked, those days a bit of a blur to her. "Did I do something wrong?"
Riku shook his head. "What happened wasn't your fault," he answered softly, lowering his eyes to the space between them. Namine couldn't control it.
  • Author
"...But, I'm better now," Namine said, failing to notice the change in Riku's tone. "Why is Roxas still holding onto something that happened so long ago?" She had been really sick, yes, but still...It was time to let go.
Riku released a breath, closing his eyes as he tried to come up with a good answer. What happened to Namine was going to sit in people's hearts for a long time, but it would be inside Roxas's even longer. She had no idea, did she?

Namine finally noticed the change in Riku's expression, though she couldn't understand what the emotions were on his face. Was it...Sadness? "...What?" she asked softly. "Did I say something wrong?"
"Do you remember anything from that day?" Riku asked, opening his eyes to find Namine's. "The last time you saw me that night, do you remember anything after that?" That had been the last time he talked to her before she...passed.
  • Author
Namine looked down, thinking. That night he was referring to was the night that she asked about the snow, right? And as for remembering anything after that..."No," she said, faintly shaking her head. "The next thing I remember was waking up to find that Roxas was home."
Riku lowered his gaze immediately, shaking his head. "I knew it," he said quietly. Nobody had told her; she was still clueless.

Namine was confused at Riku's words, but she found that wasn't too odd considering that there was a lot of mystery about her illness in her mind. She waited for Riku to elaborate in silence, knowing that he would surely fill her in on what he was thinking. He always was bold, after all.
"Your condition got worse. A lot worse," Riku said after a second, his tone bitter and sad at the memory. "Kairi was the one who went to check up on you when she found that you..." He looked up at Namine, a little bit of vulnerability settling in for once. "...You left us, Namine."
  • Author
Namine's eyes found Riku at that, shock appearing in her sky blue eyes. She...left? That was a kinder way of saying that she died. But, that was impossible. No matter how sick she felt, she couldn't have died just by some random illness. She didn't believe it.
Riku saw the look on Namine's face and he didn't know what to do. "I...I know it might be hard to understand..." he started softly. But it was the truth; he would never joke about that. Ever.
  • Author
"That's impossible," Namine whispered, finding that her voice was weak with this talk of death. If she had really died, then she wouldn't have been sitting in Riku's kitchen with him right now. Riku was mistaken.
Riku shook his head. It was possible, unfortunately. She left them. "...Roxas got back too late with the cure," he said sadly, but there was some good news in this. He had yet to tell her why she was still here.
  • Author
"B-but, if I was really...gone, then..." Then I wouldn't be here now, Namine thought, though her voice was starting to show her fright at this subject. Obviously she had missed a lot, whether she had really been asleep or something worse.
Riku's hand found Namine's at the shake in her voice, and he squeezed it. "Namine, listen--the potion they got worked. That's why you're still here," he explained quietly. She looked terrified, but that was completely understandable. He wasn't going to judge.
