Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Namine felt Riku's warm hand on both of hers, but she shook her head a little. A potion was strong enough to...bring her back to life? That was crazy talk. Just like the talk of her dying was crazy. Once a person was dead, there was no way to bring them back...Right?
"It was a potion strong enough to defeat the Darkness inside you," Riku continued, not letting Namine's opinions on this get in the way of his explanation. "It brought you back."

Namine's eyes found Riku again then, though confusion appeared with the surprise. "D-darkness?" she asked, unable to help the stutter. What did the Darkness have to do with this?
Riku nodded. "When the Heartless attacked the Islands, one infected you. Didn't you notice the marks?" he asked. They were on her arms...

Namine slipped one of hands out of Riku's, lifting a hand to her lowered forehead as her elbow rested on the table. "No," she said softly. She hadn't noticed anything...Unknown to her, the Darkness had blinded her to the injuries.
Riku furrowed his eyebrows slightly, but nodded. "That explains it then," he said. That explained the reasoning behind her ignorance. Something must have blocked her senses and kept her from noticing.

Namine didn't understand what Riku meant by that, but she didn't really care enough to ask. Everything...was starting to make sense now, somehow. She...was dead. Gone. The Darkness killed her from the inside, and it was a terrifying thought. It was even more terrifying that it really happened.
Riku took his hand back from Namine's after a moment, his eyes on her. He didn't ask if she was alright, because it was obvious she wasn't. And she didn't need to be, considering that she just found out that she herself died and left for a period of time.

Namine lifted her other hand once Riku's was gone, and she used both her hands to cover her face then. Tears started to come then, the emotion flooding in once she realized the truth. She had been dying and she hadn't even known it. And she had died. She was brought back, but she was really gone. She was separated from her loved ones, and she hadn't even known!
Riku felt his eyes soften in concern as he gazed at Namine, feeling awful. He didn't think he would be the one that had to break the news to her...but he was. Roxas, why didn't you do it? He was the one that was supposed to comfort her when she reacted this way, but he wasn't here. That was Riku's job now.

Namine tried to keep her crying quiet, though that was a hard thing to do. At least her hands over her face quieted things. She understood now why Roxas was acting differently...This was awful. Terrifying. Heartbreaking. She couldn't believe she had been so ignorant.
Riku's eyes widened when he heard quiet sobs, and that motivated him enough to walk around the counter and put his arm around Namine's shoulders. She needed someone, and he was the only one available. But she was considered one of his best friends, somebody he deeply cared for. He would be there voluntarily.

Namine leaned the side of her head against Riku's chest when he came over, her sobs still muffled into her hands. She was a mess now, and she didn't care. She knew Riku would never judge her for how she reacted to this news anyway. She died, and she just found about it. That wasn't alright.
Riku put his other hand on Namine's shoulder closest to him. His hands rubbed over her shoulders as a comforting gesture, the boy not feeling awkward about contact at all, like he usually did with his friends. This was completely different; Namine needed it.

Namine felt Riku's skin against hers because she was still wearing her strapless dress, but she didn't feel weird about Riku providing comfort. He had been doing that a lot lately, whenever she was actually upset like this. She pushed those thoughts aside and just let herself cry, not knowing what else to do.
"It's alright," Riku said, voice gentle with the girl as he gazed down at her. He would try to provide her with as much comfort as he could; sometimes he wasn't good at it. But it called for it now, so he needed to. Who else would Namine go to right now?
  • Author
"But it's not," Namine murmured into her hands before she could stop herself. This was absolutely terrible. She hadn't known just how terrible things were, and it wasn't good that she was finding out now. She didn't even know how to think, her emotions so overwhelming.
"...You're alive. That's 'alright' to me," Riku said quietly. He understood that Namine had the right to be upset, and he was too, seeing her so vulnerable. But, the fact that she was still with them was relieving. He was happy about that, and he thought she should be too.

Namine didn't know what to say, Riku having a point. Yes, she was alive. But she hadn't even known she was dead in the first place. Things were starting to make sense...That was why Roxas was so serious and staring at her randomly sometimes.
Riku kept his arms around Namine in silence now, just letting her cry. She needed to get it out of her system, and that may take more time than now. Regardless, it needed to be done. She was shaken. But if it wasn't okay now, it would be in the future. She would be alright.

Namine cried for a long time, unable to stop herself and not really wanting to. But eventually she calmed down and only was sniffling, her hands lowering to her lap. She opened her eyes and saw that she was still dressed beautifully, but she didn't care. She was a mess, even if her make-up was in tact and the dress was gorgeous.
Riku squeezed Namine's hand in a comforting manner. It was late, and he didn't expect her to leave any time soon. He didn't mind, though; it was okay. It would be fine if she needed to stay, too. Riku did always let his friends crash.

Namine finally started thinking logically after a little while, her eyes wandering to the clock. It was so late..."Can I stay here?" she requested softly, her voice still thick and choked up. She couldn't go home and risk Kairi seeing her like this...
Riku nodded. "Yeah," he said, taking his arms back. "I'll go get you a change of clothes." Then he would get Namine a pillow and blanket; she would have to sleep on the couch since there wasn't a guest bedroom here.
  • Author
Namine nodded, no longer leaning on Riku when he withdrew. His clothes wouldn't really fit her, but that was the least of her concerns right now. She was so tired and emotionally drained, all she wanted to do was sleep and make reality go away.
