Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The walk home didn't take long, and Namine didn't do anything other than stare at the ground during the walk. She didn't even think about Roxas or what he was doing today; she planned on avoiding everyone for a little while just to cope with this new information she received. She saw Kairi's house up ahead, and her feet kept carrying her there.
Kairi approached the front door and unlocked it from when she left earlier, then stepping in and holding it open for Namine. She wasn't sure what to say, or do. She figured Roxas would have told Namine a long time ago what happened, but she just found out now. That was...bad.

Namine set a hand on the door, stepping inside the house that she and Kairi lived in. She glanced over at her friend when she was inside, pausing briefly. "I'm going to bed," she said softly. She didn't say she would sleep; maybe she would just lay there for a while. Either way, she hoped for some privacy.
Kairi nodded a little. "Do you need anything?" she asked softly. She knew not to disturb Namine up in her room, which was why she asked now.

"No, I'm fine," Namine said quietly, faintly shaking her head. Of course, that wasn't regarding her emotional state; that was her saying that she didn't need anything.
"Okay, just let me know," Kairi replied softly. She was worried about Namine, a lot. Where was Roxas during this? He should have been here.

"'Kay," Namine said with a faint nod. "'Night." She started walking towards the stairs, not caring that it was morning and not night. She was going to be in her room for a while, and she was actually a bit glad she didn't have an appetite. That meant she could stay locked away longer.
Kairi sadly watched Namine go, but after a moment she finally shut the front door. It was then that she went into the kitchen, to cook herself a small breakfast.

Namine went up the stairs in silence, the house lit because of sun coming through the windows. But once Namine was in her room, she shut the shades and let the room get much darker. And she locked the door, too, before she climbed under her covers and curled up on her side, wondering what to do now that she knew the horrible truth about her illness.

Kairi wasn't surprised when Riku came over a while later, and they talked about Namine. She was their main concern right now; they weren't going to ignore that. But after discussing Roxas, Kairi actually spotted him out the window. "Riku, Roxas is on his way to the porch," she said, glancing from the window back to her best friend.

"I'll handle this," Riku said, pushing himself up from his spot and immediately starting toward the front door. He wasn't about to let Roxas go near Namine, not with what happened between them last night and how she was feeling today.

Namine had managed to fall asleep for part of the morning, though she was awake enough now to hear very faint voices from downstairs. She didn't understand what they were saying, and she didn't really care. She felt so dazed after everything; she didn't care about anything but escaping this reality. But it was impossible right now, since she was so awake.

Roxas was surprised to see Riku come out of the house, the boy still on the path leading up to the house. "Hey," he called. "Namine's inside, right?" He needed to talk to her...about a lot of things.

"Yeah, but you're not going in to see her," Riku said, stepping off the porch and walking a few more feet before stopping in front of Roxas, making the blond come to a halt as well.

Roxas gave Riku a confused look. "What are you talking about?" he asked. He was too going to see her; he needed to. Who was Riku to tell him what he could and couldn't do?

  • Author
Namine heard a new voice added into things, and it didn't seem like it was coming from inside the house anymore. It sounded like two people were outside, and she recognized the voices even if she couldn't decipher what they were saying. Riku...and Roxas. She sat up on the bed, listening more closely.

"Don't be stupid, Roxas. You know exactly what I'm talking about," Riku said, crossing his arms over his chest as he glared down at the blond, who only glared back up at him.

"Stupid?! I'm not being stupid! I just want to see my girlfriend!" Roxas retorted, now defensive. What was Riku's problem, anyway? He was fine yesterday.

"Your girlfriend's hurt," Riku replied, his tone growing a little though it was still calm. "And it's your fault. You're not going up there and making it worse."

  • Author
Namine lifted a hand to her mouth, eyes wide at the words that she could understand. Roxas wanted to see her, and Riku wasn't letting him past. She felt her eyes get moist because she could practically sense the tension between her best friend and boyfriend already, the blonde feeling a ton of emotion as she continued to eavesdrop.

"My fault? What did I do?" Roxas said, his hands in fists by his sides. Was this about last night? If that was the case, he was going up there right now; he wanted to talk to Namine about that anyway.

"What didn't you do, Roxas?" Riku said with disapproval. "Namine may have left with you last night, but she didn't make it home. She came to me because she wanted an explanation, one you didn't give to her when you should have."

Roxas's eyes widened slightly at what he was hearing, but then he glared at Riku once more, his eyebrows furrowing over his eyes. "Great, well you could have at least told me that yesterday. I came here last night looking for her too."

  • Author
You did? Namine thought in surprise, her thoughts going towards Roxas even if he couldn't hear her. He came here looking for her? And why wasn't Roxas more concerned with her finding out the truth? It sounded more like he was bitter about coming and not seeing her than he was about her finding out she died.

Riku frowned. "Oh, so you do care? Well, that's a shock, considering I was the one that had to tell her what happened to her when she was sick," he said, voice rising with anger. How could Roxas be so irresponsible?

Roxas's eyes widened. "You did what?!" he cried. How could Riku do that? Now he definitely was going inside; he wasn't about to leave after hearing that.

Namine felt some moisture leave her eyes then, the girl climbing up off her bed without thinking about it. She knelt down by the window and opened the shade some, looking out and seeing Roxas first because he was further away from the house. He really wasn't happy.

"How could you do that, Riku?!" Roxas hollered angrily, his hands now in tighter fists at his sides. "That was not your place to tell!"

"I was the only one that bothered to tell!" Riku yelled back, uncrossing his arms. "You held it off too long, and because of that, Namine was upset. She didn't know what was wrong with you. It's your fault, Roxas."

  • Author
Namine stood up a little more, able to see Riku now. And he was clearly angry. This wasn't good...Both of them were getting defensive now, both for their own reasons. She didn't like being the cause of all this drama.
"...But I was gonna--" Roxas's eyes had been darting around as he searched himself for a retort, but that was when he spotted somebody in the window, cutting off his sentence. He took a small step toward the window, peering at it as his eyebrows furrowed. Namine?
  • Author
Namine realized she was caught now, Roxas stopping with his sentence and staring up at her window. She stood frozen for a second before she stepped away, the shade going back over the window and hiding her from sight. She felt the tears come a little heavier now, emotions still running so high she couldn't really control them.

Roxas blinked, knowing that was Namine. That was enough for him. "Get outta my way!" he said urgently, with some anger mixed in. He pushed past Riku and ran up to the porch, immediately opening the door and going inside. "Namine!" he hollered, heading for the stairs.

Kairi gasped slightly at the voice. Roxas. She ran to the hallway, finding her friend starting up the stairs. "No, Roxas, she doesn't want to be bothered!" she called, rushing over to the banister.

Roxas didn't care, still going up the staircase. He then turned, starting down the hall. Even if Namine didn't want to be bothered, he needed to talk to her right away.

Namine heard the commotion, and she also heard Roxas's rushed footsteps on the stairs and in the hall. She choked back a sob and went back to her bed, sitting on the edge and hiding her face in her hands. He was coming up, and she doubted that Riku and Kairi could stop him before he came to her room. But wait, the door was locked...
