Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Namine nodded faintly in recognition and appreciation, though she didn't change her position because of the nod. She didn't want to cry again in front of Riku, anyway.
Riku shut the door quietly behind him and left Namine alone in her room, starting down the hall. He wasn't sure what to think right now, this all being a mess.

Namine laid down on her side when she heard the door shut, the girl gripping her pillow and pulling it to her face so the crying would stay quiet. She just made things a lot worse, hadn't she? Maybe this was why Roxas wasn't very open with her...Stuff like this messed everything up.
Roxas did exactly as Namine asked, and he stayed away from her for almost a week. He didn't talk to her, didn't look at her, and left whenever she came to join the group. His friends objected to the nonsense, but he was keeping to his word. That was why he was on the play island now, alone as he sat on the Paopu tree and stared at the ocean. There was nothing else to do.

Sora walked across the bridge on the play island to the islet, seeing Roxas there. It wasn't coincidence that they were meeting here; Sora purposely set out to talk to Roxas. This nonsense had gone on long enough, and Sora was determined to talk some sense into Roxas. He was only hurting himself and Namine by staying away. He would say that, but he would say it carefully so Roxas didn't storm off. They needed to talk.
Roxas heard footsteps on the bridge behind him, but he didn't turn around. He didn't really want to talk, but he knew the person behind him probably didn't care. He would have to talk anyway, wouldn't he?

Sora approached the tree from behind, setting his hands on the trunk as he brought himself up. He sat next to Roxas and faced towards the ocean, though he didn't look at it for long. "Hey," he said as he turned to face his best friend.
Roxas didn't look at Sora, but simply hummed in response. He didn't know what Sora thought he could accomplish by coming here, but it wouldn't work.

Sora furrowed his eyebrows slightly at Roxas's lame response. Alright, if he didn't want to make this easy, Sora would pressure him. "Obviously you don't feel like having small talk, so I'll get straight to the point," he said, keeping his gaze on Roxas. "This situation is ridiculous." Roxas and Namine shouldn't have been on such bad terms; they needed each other. Badly.
Roxas lowered his gaze to the islet at the words. He knew that all too well, which was why he didn't respond. How was he supposed to, anyway? He messed everything up.

"Namine's not going to try and approach you to set things right," Sora stated knowingly. He heard it from Kairi, and Kairi knew Namine really well. "So it's up to you. Are you going to do anything to fix this?"
Roxas furrowed his eyebrows and shook his head. No, he wasn't going to do anything. Whenever he tried that, he made it worse. Sora surely knew that.
  • Author
Sora's eyebrows furrowed more at the answer. "So that's it?" he asked, annoyed with Roxas's attitude. "This is killing both of you, and you don't even care enough to try." That was pathetic.
You're wrong, Roxas thought silently, not lifting his eyes to Sora. His problem was that he cared too much. That was why he didn't tell Namine, and because of that, she went to Riku. That was what caused him to finally go talk to her, and now this happened. Whenever he cared, he messed things up. That was wrong.
  • Author
"You didn't save her just to break her heart," Sora said firmly, speaking bluntly to Roxas in hopes of getting through to him. "So stop being such a hard-headed idiot and talk to her." She needed him now more than ever, and Roxas was completely ignoring her. He could tell how much it was killing Namine, and he wasn't even the closest person to her.
Roxas ground his teeth together and glared at Sora. "Shut up," he spat. He didn't know what he was saying. The blond pushed himself off the tree then, his feet hitting the sand. This was stupid; he wasn't going to listen to this.
  • Author
Sora pushed himself off the tree as well, eyebrows furrowed as he glared at Roxas. "Why? Because I said something that's true?" he countered. "I'll say something else, then. She's scared, Roxas. She just found out she lost her life, and now she's lost you too. Tell me what excuse you're giving yourself that says it's okay to leave her in this state."
Roxas turned his eyes to Sora then, their color piercing with a glare. "Okay, fine. I'll tell you," he said, voice cold. "...It was my fault she died in the first place! There, happy?!"
  • Author
"No, I'm not happy," Sora snapped in return, continuing to glare at Roxas. "And you didn't kill her. The Darkness did. You were responsible for saving her, and now she's dying inside because you're not there with her." He stepped forward, jabbing a finger in Roxas's chest. "You can fix things, but you are too selfish to see past yourself and do anything. So are you happy? You're responsible for the situation turning out this way."
Roxas looked down at his chest and Sora's finger, but then he lifted his infuriated eyes to him. "Back off!" he yelled, shoving Sora away from him. Sora didn't know anything!
  • Author
Sora stumbled back a few steps due to the force behind Roxas's shove. He was angry? Good. That was better than the apathy he had been trying to show to everyone else lately. "Why should I?" Sora asked. "You're not answering any of my questions. That tells me I should only keep asking them." He would keep pestering Roxas until he got answers, simple as that.
Roxas gritted his teeth, fuming. Why was Sora bothering him like this? He already felt bad enough! "Leave me alone, Sora," he snapped. He didn't need this. And Namine didn't need him; he only brought her sadness and hurt. And in the long run, death.
  • Author
"You wanna live the rest of your life like this?!" Sora asked in disbelief. "No, you don't. And I don't want you to either, so I won't leave you alone. You're so stubborn, Roxas! Let go of your pride and see that you screwed up. And go make it right!
"What pride?" Roxas screamed. "That's what you think this is about? I'm too proud to go back and apologize, to try to make things right? What's the matter with you?" He couldn't believe this. This was anything but pride.
  • Author
"What's the matter with you, that you're letting Namine suffer like this?!" Sora hollered back in response, hands in fists by his side. Maybe it wasn't pride keeping Roxas from apologizing, but he was still stubborn. This was very stupid.
